We are Diamond members with RCI so have quite a few cruises under our belts. The service on ALL RCI cruises are beyond expectations. They really go out of their way to earn your loyalty. Have to say that the food quality and variety have greatly improved over time - thanks to honest and vocal guests. We've also enjoyed their entertainment immensely on this particular cruise. However, the ...

I wished to go on a TA going west and after careful consideration I opted for a 16 day trip on Brilliance of the Seas. It left from Amsterdam, visited four ports in Ireland and one in the Azores before a seven day / night crossing. I was in stateroom 3042 (outside view). I was happy with it. I also elected Anytime Dining. I usually ate late, as I hate fighting crowds for either dinner or the ...

Koningsdam is the newest and largest ship of the HA fleet. We were aboard 31 nights sailing from Amsterdam to Ft Lauderdale. I greatly enjoyed Koningsdam. HA has kept much of its traditional wood trim but decor features colorful, attractive and somewhat eclectic furnishings throughout. The bright, modern and airy appearance of the Dining Room was a most welcome change for me. Our verandah ...

We booked this trip from Amsterdam to Boston thinking that itinerary might attract some adventure travellers and birders, to help fill in my lamentable ignorance about Atlantic pelagic birds. Boy, were we wrong! More than 1000 of the 1200 passengers were taking the 35-day, round-trip-from-Boston version of the cruise. Several passengers had served in the Wilson administration, the political ...

Started off with a few days in Amsterdam, a great to acclimate to the time zone change. Superb city for walking, everything close proximity to the hotel by Central Station including the Eurodam. Embarkation - took about 40 minutes from arrival to processing to the stateroom on board, where we soon met our room stewards. Didn't see much of them during the cruise, the room was always picked up or ...

My wife and myself have cruised with numerous other cruise lines and this was our first with Holland American and probably the last. The Captain of the Eurodam was probably the most interactive Captain that were have ever sailed with. We were very impressed with the dining room steward, room steward, and the selection of food. That's about all the positives that I can give this cruise! Photo ...

DH and I landed at AMS around 8 a.m., local time. We gathered our 3 bags of luggage and caught a taxi to the port. When we told the taxi driver we need to go to the port - that we were sailing on the Celebrity Reflection, he looked at us dumbfounded and said he needed an address to put into his GPS. First time that has ever happened to us! Anyway, after a few wrong turns and us craning our ...

This was my first cruise on Holland America so I was excited to try a new ship. As a loyal cruise critic reader I had read that cruise lines had personalities and you needed to match yours to the cruise line. I was surprised when I found that in spite of all the wonderful things about the Eurodam, it just didn't fit my personality. So as I write this review there will be pros and cons. Our ...

Short Summary: A unique itinerary only available during the fall repositioning. Sixteen very enjoyable days on a beautiful ship. We spent several days in Amsterdam before boarding the ship which made for a very memorable vacation. If I could do it all over again I would have spent a week in The Netherlands because there was so much to see and do, but I can only be away from work for so long. ...
