Pretty far aft, this stateroom provides easy access to the exterior aft deck with exterior stairs leading to the lower promenade deck (quick access for taking pictures during scenic cruising). It is also close, but not too close to the stairwell and elevators with the dining room and Lido buffet above. It is, however, very far from the front of the ship where the theatre and most gangways for ports were located (Deck A forward). The bathroom is getting old and dirty with noticeable bathtub ring and grout stains, and a worn toilet seat, at least on our trip. The bathroom had ample shelf space with toiletries bags and reading material going under the sink and a closing corner vanity cabinet with three levels,Door jambs and other areas showed obvious wear. TV reception is bad. The bottom desk drawer was difficult to use - it had to be jerked out hard to open. Note that there is no refrigerator in this cabin. Read Less

The room Our room 2644 was on the main deck ½ way between the middle and back of the ship. It was quiet, though once in a while we could hear a humming coming from some equipment or A/C that is a little forward in the middle of the ship. The room is very convenient to the elevator to reach deck 4, the main dining room and deck 8, Lido café. A little comment of the elevators. They are the most efficient I have ever seen. Usually, we pushed the button and the elevator was right there, almost no wait. You open the elevator door and there on the floor is a rug with the day, Monday, Tuesday, etc.) Many passengers commented on the rugs, a good way to remind you what day it is. My sister was in 2456 and they like there room also. Maybe a little quieter. The room was more than adequate. We stored our 2 large and 2 small suitcases under the bed after unloading them. We are light travelers but since this was our first trip to Alaska and plan to do a lot of hiking not sure what to expect. Four great ideas from earlier posts on cruise critic: 1. Bring sleep masks. The sun sets between 10-11:30pm and rises about 3:30-4:30 depending the port. When you get to Anchorage and Homer the sun sets but it doesn’t seem to get really dark. The sleep masks were a life saver. 2. Clothes pins, the clothes pin were a great idea to clip the curtains to make sure they closed all the way and keep in dark in the cabin at night. 3. Bring about 10 plastic clothes hangers. They give you a lot of nice wooden hangers but with two people and dinner dress cloths, casual clothes and hiking clothes, it takes a lot of clothes hangers. The room had plenty of storage drawers and hanging cabinets. 4. We rented a refrigerator, $2.50 a day a real bargain. We stored cold water and sometime a lunch we would take for a hike the next day. The big benefit was they include a power cord or plug with extra outlets. The cabin only comes with one outlet so it make it convenient to plug in cell phones or hairdryers. Just a note. You cannot bring power strips or extension plugs on the ship. It is a fire hazard and they will remove them. . The bathroom and tub where compact but big enough. Read Less

The stateroom was fine, plenty of storage, comfortable beds. The biggest problems were the TV is hard to see, and control, because of the mounting and there was ONLY one 110 volt outlet in the stateroom. Read More
