Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on AmaPrima

Group of four of us. Two AB rooms with balconies. Gorgeous, decently-enough appointed, and the room attendant does an immaculate job. The staff you might encounter in the hallways are cheerful, the dining room and reception staff is hit or miss. I've three times gone to the reception desk and three times been ignored for several seconds or so with a completely empty counter. I can't say ...

British Isle Cruise out of Amsterdam The Jewel has see it's better days..........it is one tired ship. We sailed on her many years ago when it was in much better condition. The stateroom furniture is showing wear and tear.......the decor is dated and showing age. You couldn't take photos from the inside the windows were so dirty. Evening entertainment is nothing like pre ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We chose this cruise due to the variety of the intinerary. We had never sailed on Norwegian, but have had good experiences with lines as diverse as Carnival and Silversea. The embarkation point in Amsterdam was conveniently located to the City. The embarkation process itself was painfully long, chaotic and barely sanitary. The cabins were fine. A bit dated. No USB charging stations and the ...

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Idun

We chose this cruise because we had never tried a river cruise before and Viking seemed to be a popular option. They provided an included excursion at each city they stopped in, and we felt it was nice not to pay for every excursion. Finding the Cruise - Call for Better Pricing Our experience when we got to Amsterdam was really mixed. We were not provided with the exact location of the boat, ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We chose the itenirary British Isle mostly for Scotland which is rarely offered and thought the ship would be as good as same category ships ie loved Jewel and Serenade. Not problem at embarkation in Amsterdam although very annoying feeling besieged by staff selling ALL they could think of prior to us stepping on ship. Upon entering our balcony stateroom, the smell of sewer was so strong and the ...

Worst ship in the line!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We chose this ship based on the fact that it had the ONLY embarkation point from Amsterdam. We were on the 12 night Baltic cruise and the ports were fine it was the ship that was awful! When we had the safety drill, the crew penciled in who was in attendance (I know that they have electronic devices that can check in). The rooms, while quite beautiful in a 1940's way have no updated ...

We were so excited to go on this cruise! We went on board and had a great onboard experience. That night we went to the show and it was blah... we both agreed it was because we are spoiled in San francisco with off broadway shows. At the show- that was the first and ONLY time we saw the cruise director Pedro. He was MIA for two weeks- we “heard his voice through the ceiling” for ...

Cruise: 13-day Italy France & Spain: The Rivieras We planned an extended family vacation. Decided to upgrade t3 mini suites and looked forward to a great and once in a lifetime cruise. The ship itself is the perfect size ship in my opinion, feels big, but small enough to nollt have a ton of overwhelming people. Background: - Frequent cruise family: Many cruises on NCL, Princess, ...

We choose this ship due to the itinerary which was one of the few things we ended up happy with. We booked initially in Dec. Two weeks after final payment the price on our trip dropped by more than 60%. I was offered a $250 on board credit as a consolation to the almost $7000 drop. Not ever cruising NCL prior I was baffled. I have never seen a cruise line struggle to fill cabins to the extent they ...

Where to begin...ship is old. Despite upgrade a couple of years ago, still old. Food...generally bad. Cagneys, Le Bistro and Asian were ok. Modenos was well terrible. Buffet was hit or miss. Casino was a casino but if your a player management were cold. Service was generally good. Staff were as friendly as they could be. No point in getting a Haven Suite. Regular Suites got the same thing. They ...
