This was our first river cruise - we (my wife and I) have been on several ocean cruises with HAL in the past.
Overall we would give this cruise an 8-10 rating.
Pros:
Generally well organized and well run. However, some people need more detailed instructions which would help things move a bit smoother.

This was our first time on AMA Waterways and we came away convinced we'll sail with them again. The Amacello was well appointed; the rooms were very clean and comfortable with the French balconies a plus; staff was friendly, helpful and very service oriented.
