We took this cruise on the recommendation of our travel agent. Generally, the cruse was fine - rooms were nice, better than expected. Excursions were interesting and well handled. Only problem, and it's a pretty big problem, was the food was awful. Dining experience was very nice - great service and presentation. The issue was the food was very bland and tasteless. Variety was ok, but just ...

We chose this cruise line and trip based on a recommendation from a good friend who took this trip last year. We flew into Amsterdam and sailed the Rhine for 7 days to Basel. Booking the trip with an Amawaterway rep was easy. One call to Jonathan and he made all the arrangements and flight details. He was responsive to our questions and kept us informed before our trip. We even got upgraded to ...

Pre Cruise: The vacation started off in the worst possible fashion with all our luggage being mislaid en route to Europe. Equipped with only a small carry-on bag we duly arrived at the Westcord City Centre Hotel, sans our suitcases, for a three night pre cruise stay in Amsterdam. Although our room was very small, the Westcord was reasonably priced and proved to be an ideal base for ...

This was our first river cruise - the Rhine River from Amsterdam to Basel. We spent 4 days in Amsterdam and I definitely recommend a few days before embarkation. Jet lag is tricky and we pay so much for the cruise we wanted to truly enjoy it. We stayed in the Marriott by the docks and loved. We are the type of couple who like to just wander around and we did. Our only scheduled events were ...

This was our 7th river cruise, and 3rd with AMA. We arrived on time in AMS and found the AMA desk. The excellent service we have consistently experienced on AMA started there and continued until we were in our taxi on the return to the airport. Highlights: - Staff and crew were excellent and our Captain, Rob, was very personable. - Cruise manager Peter Whitehead was not only a great CM, but ...

Our group decided on an expensive trip on a river cruise. we thought it would be a peaceful and sedating trip as most of us are in retiring ages. Thus we choose the Amacerto river cruise. the good points: the ship is manned by very polite and service oriented staff . we always have the feeling that they are in fact over burden with too much tasks that we oftentimes are reluctant to ask for ...
