Drawers on furniture would not stay closed when ship was underway. Cabin was generally clean and comfortable. Balcony too small to use comfortably.

Decor somewhat dated but it really didn't matter. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, as was the bathroom. Plenty of storage for clothes as there was a dresser and desk, both with plenty of drawer space for two people. There was also a closet with hangers and housekeeping came in twice a day. Bathroom supplies were ample. I am very conscious of space, needing lots of it, and was very pleased with this. We also enjoyed the balcony although the weather was cool due to the early November sailing. Read Less

Cabins on American Cruise Lines ships are more spacious that those on the large ships. The bathrooms may be small, but have all the amenities one requires - except a makeup mirror.

Our cabin had two twin beds, LOTS of drawers, and a nice sized closet for hanging items. There were definitely more drawers available than two people needed for a week. The room itself is a nice size. The bathroom is quite large - like that in a small apartment - with a "normal" size shower. Our room had a balcony and if I travel with American again wont' upgrade to a balcony. The balcony is very narrow - you need to sit sideways in a chair. And the window in the room is quite large - which it is in the cabins without balconies - so there really is no need for a balcony room. Plus, there is a ton of room with really comfortable (and some shaded) patio furniture on the top deck. Read Less
