We choose this cruise for the weather. We live in the high desert and cooler temps were beckening for this time of the year. We enjoyed the mid 70's to low 80's during the day and 50's at night. We might have choose this cruise for the weather but was very impressed with American Cruise Lines. The ship was small and about 80 people onboard which made for getting to know others onboard enjoyable. ...
We chose this cruise because we were looking for a quiet, luxurious and relaxing experience. We had high expectations for this cruise due to its high cost (over $12,500 for 7 nights) and extensive marketing. Our first impression was very good. We booked the pre-cruise night in the Renaissance Hotel with the tour of Providence. The hotel was lovely and the service impeccable. The tour of Providence ...
Many issues with this cruise. The cruise was scheduled for 10 nights, Boston to Maine, RI, Mass and back to Boston. While the ship is only 4 years old, the decor can best be described as basic. Luxurious, it is not. One major issue at the outset was no Wifi on board. We were told to depend on cell phones instead. Those cell phones don't work when the ship is say from land or in remote parts ...
I want to confirm that this review is based on my own experiences and is factually correct and represents my honestly held views.
We embarked from Clarkston, Washington sailed to Pendelton, Oregon and on to The Dalles, Oregon stopping again at The Multnomah Falls in Stevenson, Washington and finally disembarked in Portland, Oregon.
Both the slow ride and small towns we stopped in were ...
We chose this cruise because we had cruised American Cruise Lines previously and had a 5 star experience. Unfortunately this cruise was not even close. This is a very expensive cruise line (about $1,000 a day per person - based on double occupancy) and the passengers are mostly senior citizens. Our boarding experience was chaotic. There was a long boardwalk to the boat with no assistance for ...
I really enjoyed my relaxing cruise on the Mississippi. Staff really catered to all of our needs. Cruise price included excursions in every port. I had the chance to learn many things about the civil war, visit museums, and several beautiful plantations. Tour guides were very entertaining.Back on the ship we had relevant lectures and even had the opportunity to take a fun art class. In the evening ...
Currently sailing on the recently refurbished American West. Saw previous negative reviews and was hesitant, but cruise line said it was being fully refurbished. It is lovely! Definitely has the charm of an old-fashioned paddle wheel boat. Carpets, furnishings, furniture, linens, shower curtain… are all very nice. Exceeded our expectations! All staff members have gone above and beyond to meet any ...
Have sailed with American Cruise lines from Seattle to San Juan islands. Was a great experience. The American Revolution trip was less than satisfactory. No internet on board. Phones in cabins did not work. Service in dining room was poor. Food quality not the best. Was served ice cream in hot dish so it melted before it could be eaten. Service at Sky lounge was awful. Hamburgers were raw! Self ...

This past April I once again had the pleasure of sailing with The American Cruise Lines--this time on the American Spirit touring the Puget Sound & San Juan Islands. While on past cruises with ACL I frequently heard other passengers remarking how they loved this particular cruise so when I had the opportunity to go--I grabbed it! And I was not disappointed. From beautiful scenery to fabulous ...
