Frustrating, but Still Pleasant Trip

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on American Constitution

Grand New England Cruise We just returned from this cruise in August. This was one of the most frustrating cruises we have ever been on. At the same time, it was pleasant because of the places we visited (from Boston to Bar Harbor), the small size of the ship and the lengths that the crew on board went to make lemonade out of lemons. For example, we had 2 special events planned for our ...

Although we had quite a few little issues on our cruise, overall it was nice. The ports and excursions were great, albeit a bit disorganized at times. Food was good with lots of seafood and fish, especially lobster. Cabin is big, bigger than most on small ships, as was the bathroom. We did have a shortage of bathroom amenities at first, but that was fixed when they received supplies a few days ...

We love the "small ship" experience of American Cruise Lines and selected this 11 day Grand New England cruise for the wonderful scenery, food, and ports. Two special highlights - the lobster roast picnic in Rockland, ME at the Sail Power and Steam Museum, and the sail on the Schooner Lannon in Gloucester, MA. The new ship the Constitution was lovely but seemed very crowded. Staff had to conduct ...

We sailed on the American Star for our first cruise and they set the standard so high we decided to cruise with American Cruise Lines again. The American Constitution did not quite reach the same standard but we enjoyed the cruise. The staff will bend over backward to meet your request. We had a cabin with a private balcony. There is a open bar cocktail hour every day and if you let the cruise ...

Cabins are roomy and well appointed. The balcony was carpeted and equipped with two comfortable chairs and a nice size table. This ship is new ...May 2017. Service is excellent.. Food is better than average with good choices. Breakfast choices are excellent with a made to order variety of selections. Soups are fantastic for lunch and dinner. Last minute decision to book this cruise. I had never been to Maine and it had been on our bucket list. Great ports of call starting in Bar Harbor. Love the size of the ship, met lots of interesting people during our week on board. The food is excellent, I think I had lobster everyday. With wine/beer provided at lunch and dinner and cocktails provided an hour before dinner and after dinner ...
