My financial advisor told me I needed a vacation. How crazy is that? I have visited Europe numerous times and knew I wanted to go on a Christmas Markets river cruise. My travel agent found this one. This was my first experience with AmaWaterways, and it was outstanding. My cabin was lovely and quiet and was cleaned thoroughly and in a flash each morning while I was at breakfast. The food was ...
My husband and I were celebrating our 65th birthdays. This is our first river cruise. Our travel agent highly recommended AMA over any other river boat cruise.
The ship, cabin, food, entertainment and service were outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the new "Wellness" program. Marcelo was an excellent fitness instructor.
The shore excursions were very well planned. The local guides ...
From the moment we arrived in Munich, AMA waterways service was top notch.
We opted for the smallest cabin. The layout was very good, storage under the bed for suitcases, plenty of closet and drawer space for clothing, and good space in the bathroom for toiletries.
Transfer from the airport was on a very comfortable coach with our guide providing nice commentary along the drive to ...
Our Amex travel agent suggested AMA Waterways as the very best onboard service she had experienced among several major river cruise lines, and we went with her recommendation. She was not off base at all. The onboard experience on AMA is second to none. All staff and crew were attentive, extremely helpful, and clearly focused on making our onboard experience special. The Tour Manager, Peter ...
Just finished my first river cruise and it was amazing! We did the Wine Cruise along the Danube with the most incredible stops along the way. My favorites being Durnstein and Krems in Austria. Our wine host onboard had amazing wines for us too! Another neat excursion AmaSerena provided was a day trip to a small town in the Czech Republic called Cresky Krumlov. Amazingly beautiful town!

This was our first European river cruise, after having been on more than a dozen ocean cruises (predominantly HAL, some Royal Caribbean, and a Seabourn). We sailed Budapest to Vilshoven and were absolutely delighted with the service, atmosphere, food and wine.
We opted for a cabin in the lowest deck, which was "cozy," but totally fine for our needs. Possible drawbacks: closer to the water ...
The ship was beautiful with a fabulous sun deck. There was a pool which was great for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The food and wine selections were outstanding especially at the Chef's Table Restaurant - a small specialty restaurant available to passengers at no additional cost - it offered a multi-course dinner and wine parings.
There was a wide variety of tours and activities in ...
Other friends had been on some. All had thoroughly enjoyed it! Our 50th Anniversary was in April...so we thought we would treat ourselves! Contacted our Travel Agent and she did all the research work for us...it was wonderful! It was a marvelous cruise....so much to do and so many points of interest!

This was my first experience of trying this River cruise and it was also my first Winter time travel which I hate to go during cold weather. I was bit scare at first and a bit of wonder why it too small from the outside but once I went inside, I was shock of how neat and beautiful the it was. The crew did an amazing job of help everyone and cabin room was something that I will never forget. I ...
This was our first river cruise after several ocean cruises. I am now hooked on the river cruises, as they said I would be! With only 121 on board, it was easy to meet people which made it more intimate than an ocean cruise. Areas were never crowded. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food, wine and beer (from the regions we visited) was excellent. Also, 24 hour coffee machine, ...
