We cruised on the AmaBella to the Christmas Markets. This was my first river cruise. I have been on over 65 ocean cruises, traveled to 108 countries and all seven continents. I have been cruising since 1980 when I was 18 years old and took my first cruise. The pre-cruise portion with Ama was just ok. We were booked in a standard room at a nice hotel. The cruise portion is where it gets bad. ...

We are long time cruisers and decided to try river cruising. Unfortunately we chose AMA for this canal sailing to Belgium and Netherlands. Checkin was easy. My first floor room was as expected, small but adequate. My only room complaint is there seems to be some mold in the room as I often had allergy symptoms only while in the room, my only allergy is to mold. The personnel was ...

Let me begin by saying that I've never written a review on a cruise until now even though we've taken many wonderful cruises over the years all over the world. We decided to try a river cruise for the first time and after reading many reviews settled on AmaWaterway and the ship AmaCerto for a Rhine river cruise. First the positives: The ship is nice and the rooms were good with a good layout ...

I chose the Amawaterways Rhine River based on a recommendation from a travel agent and friend who had sailed with Amawaterways before. We cruised on the Nile about 5 years ago but this was our first cruise in Europe. We boarded the ship in Amsterdam. The next morning we toured the city and went on a boat cruise through the canals. There was also an optional garden tour that day. There were at ...

Actually sailed from Vilfshoven, Germany after 3 days pre cruise in Prague. Those were three expensive and wasted days followed by a horribly uncomfortable bus trip backwards to the port of embarkation in Germany. Shocked when we entered the reception area of the ship-dirty carpet and a smell of the just departed last cruisers. More shocked when entering the tiny room, with a tiny, tiny bath and ...

The bathroom is very well designed- lots of surface and great, easy to use shower. Only needs some ventilation. The stateroom is VERY poorly planned- basically- NO storage that works- 5 VERY small drawers that are large enough for about two pancakes each- and- they do not pull out all the way- completely useless. Lots of hanging closet space- and some shelves- but- not enough and very difficult ...
