Exceeded my expectations

Many time cruiser but first on the Royal mega-size. Exceeded expectations, yes there are 6000 people but they're spread out and there are some nice places to hang out without crowds like the Central Park. Had five grandchildren along (ages 3 to 14) and they all found fun things to do. Coco Cay day was impacted by cold rain but I'm sure when the weather is nice it's even better. Liked the ...

Allure - 1 Bedroom Aqua Suite - Quick weekend getaway

Casino Comp - Quick getaway This was our second cruise on Allure and I was initially excited to have an Oasis Class ship with the quick weekend getaways close to home. That being said - We both liked it, but can't say that we loved it. Would I go on her again? Absolutely, but wouldn't be my first choice. The Good and the "Meh" Cabins: (this time a 1 BR Aqua, last time Jr. Suite) ...

This was our first time with RCL. We've cruised on Princess and Celebrity. Our first impression is that this is a BIG ship!!! So we went into it knowing navigating around would require time. Our cabin was about in the middle and around the corner of the elevators. I was concerned about noise but none was noticed. A few random thoughts/points/observations: - The solarium which is suppose to ...

Ever since the Oasis launched I've been wanting to try one of Royal Caribbean's mega-ships. I took a 4-night cruise to the Bahamas with 6 family members in two cabins. Ours was a pretty standard balcony cabin - no complaints really. The other cabin was HUGE - a family oceanview room. If you can snag one of those for a decent price you should go for it! I really expected the boarding to be ...

An Overall GREAT Family Vacation

Have been on a couple other cruise lines, but Royal Caribbean is always a favorite of our family. Last Cruise we had our two teenage boys with us and although they were in the adjoining cabin, we rarely saw them. I was nervous initially about their age group (and the Allure has not been through the Royal Upgrade yet (with waterslides and bunch of other perks)) but there were so many ...

Two seniors (70+) from AZ traveling without our cruise buds this time. Having taken the Oasis in 2009 my partner suggested following up with an Allure cruise to see if it were as enjoyable. Our last RC cruise was almost four years ago. Transport to FLL - With departure on a Saturday this meant a Friday flight to arrive the day before.A flight on a Friday to south Florida means high cost ...

We booked this cruise over 1 1/2 years ago thinking Corona would be a distant memory. We almost cancelled since the positivity rate was close to an all time high. Glad we chose to go even though my sons gf tested positive and they had to cancel last minute. Ship had less than 2300 passengers who sailed! We saw many sea passes waiting for passengers who never got on board. Embarkation-Our ...

Size Matters in a COVID world...

Cruise was selected by my girlfriend and as substitute due to COVID postponement last year. Embarkation from Port Canaveral was swift but teadeous as proof of COVID test was shown to staff four times. Traveled as a older couple with majority of passengers being elderly. We had a large comfortable jr suite, with bath tub, oversized balcony and closet with the most comfortable king bed I ...

Covid Cruising

I know context can be important for these reviews, so to give an idea of demographics, we are a married couple in our mid twenties with no children. It was my second cruise, and my husbands first. As you can imagine, we were not as affluent as the majority of the cruise goers, and also were quite a bit spry in comparison with the demographics of this cruise (the cruise was almost entirely made up ...

WE were on our 50th annivesary with Kids and grandkids .. previous two cruises were cancelled because of covid . .. The ship was not filled , so I was suprised to see we were not upgraded as we are Diamond cruisers . Entertainment was sparse , no daily shows in the Amber auditorium ... But Mama Mia was a great show with only 10% of the seats filled .. Food in the main dining room was ...
