This is my second cruise, however; it was my first time with Royal Caribbean. I was extremely excited because the Allure of the seas was said to be one of the biggest ships in the world. I would recommend this cruise for singles, or couples looking to enjoy entertainment. Or maybe a bridal party of some sort. Pros: There was an abundance of things to do, from karaoke, to zip lining. I really enjoyed the Blaze nightclub, and the Casino was very nice as well. I fell in love with the decor of the Silk and the overall ambiance of the ship. If you were tired of one scene all you had to do was take the elevator to another. Central park was also nice and cozy. I travelled with my family, a total of 14 of us were on the ship and if anytime I got lost all I had to do was get on the see through elevator. The water show was awesome. I liked the adult merry go round. I liked the ice skating ring. Cons: No good food. Well we traveled kid less, and the best part of that was I could roam around and enjoy myself without worrying about my children. After a night of dancing and sweating at the Blaze, (11:23 pm) I had worked up an appetite, all of the dining options were CLOSED, except for the Royal promenade which had a line from Texas to Canada. So i decided to retreat to my room and order room service, the phone line stayed busy from 11:30 pm to 1 am, I fell asleep after making 10 unanswered calls to room service. The first night we had dinner in the Silk, or dining time was 6:00 pm, the service was great, the strip steak I had was awful, can't quite put it into words, but imagine taking pieces of left over steak, from various parts of the cow, and grinding it up together. Then forming a steak shape similar to New York strip, then putting it in a pan of grease to sizzle. That's what my steak meal tasted like. Needless to say I only ate the potatoes. Again there were 14 of us, 9 of which ordered the same steak, cooked different ways. However; all of our steaks were brought to us, cooked in the same manner, medium. So, wanting to rid my pallet of the horrible taste, I ate some dessert and went to enjoy the rest of my evening. The next night we all by passed eating at The Silk and had dinner upstairs on deck 16 at the Windjammer. The choices were plentiful, but there was still nothing worth the money I paid. I ate a few bites of grilled salmon and spaghetti. We all joked because eating at the Windjammer, gave us all gas. LOL. Anyway, the only decent food was the meals that were not included, we extra to eat at the Salboreos. I think that's what it was called. Other than that I got off the ship and ate at Twin Brothers Restaurant in Nassau Bahamas, the best daiquiri in the world. I also ordered the fried fish sandwich, and the hot wings thinking I could take it back on the ship for later, NOT... I ended up wasting my money on food that I could not eat later, but I should have known better. Other than the horrible food on the Allure, the lines to disembark were ridiculous. At one point the captain made an announcement calling for the deck that were to leave first, after that he stopped calling. Also once your bags are packed, and the ship has arrived to disembark, good luck trying to get anyone to help you. Everyone was preparing themselves and the ship for the guest that were coming on next. They treated us like yesterday's left overs. Never again. Really the ship was beautiful, but so is the Galleria Mall here in Houston, TX. That's what it reminded me of, the shops like Micheal Kors, and Coach, the hotel, and the restaurants, all resembled the mall. Read Less
