We booked this ship because we loved her sister, the Oasis of the Seas. I was not very impressed with the activities onboard, I was very bored. The shows were amazing though. The dining was good. We ate in the American Icon most but we did eat in the other two. The food is the same in all three. I was not impressed with the service at Silk. It was slow and he was not friendly. We had an Ocean View that was actually a board walk view and the cabin was very good. The ports were awesome. I would not go on this ship again well maybe far in the future. I do reccomend sailing on Allure of the Seas. She is a beautiful ship. There is not a flaw about her. The only thing I would change is have more activities going on during the day. Every time we would go to an interesting event it would be so packed you could not even get anywhere, because there was nothing else to do. Read Less

Just recently finished our sailing with Allure of the Seas for the October 16th 2011 sailing. Here is my review being as objective as possible: - Food in main dining room was of low quality. Lackluster dish presentation, bland tasting food, and limited menu. We ended up tired of going there and skipped the same at the end. - Food in specialty restaurants were of great quality, great presentation, and very tasty, especially Chops Grille! Highly recommended. If you have the money I would skip the main dining all together. - Having sailed in other cruises, including other RC ships, we found most shows to be boring. Chicago though was very good. - Although the Cruise had several entertainment options and activities, we found these completely lacking, especially for a ship that spends 3 days at sea. One does really get bored. Being a couple in their 30's and early 40's, we found most activities and entertainment targeted to an older population, specifically american, for a ship carrying such a culturally diverse crowd. For a ship with so many bars were one would expect a lively nightlife, these were dead most of the time. Our sailing unfortunately was filled with rainy days and many cancelled outdoor activities. Although we understand that weather is unexpected, there should have been a plan B for indoor entertainment. - Not all was dissapointing, beautiful cruise ship, so many different places to be and see, excellent ambience, Central Park is beautiful, Promenade is awesome. In sum, beautiful ship with lots of potential to correct the flaws. But so far not worth the higher premium. Never feels cramped until you need help or get in an elevator. Read Less

Allure of the Seas Sept 11 -18 I took my first cruise the year on the Allure Of The Seas, embarking on 0911/2011. Pro: The ship is beautiful. We ate at 150 Park Avenue and Giovanni's, both were fantastic. There were numerous pools and Jacuzzi's, many of which were open 24 hours a day and featured great water views. Embarkation was smooth and easy. I enjoyed all of the excursions and had no difficulty getting of the ship or meeting the representative of each excursion. The excursions were one of my favorite parts of my vacation. Unlike the ship, every excursion was well staffed with cheerful, friendly employees. Con: The Allure of the Seas has one glaring shortcoming. It is understaffed. I have never been on a vacation where there were fewer employees watching over the property. The only employees I saw were the ones tasked with taking my money. Absolutely minimalist pool service. The unsupervised nature of the ship led to some troubling incidents for the women in my party. At one point myself and fellow passengers had to basically form vigilante vigilante groups to ward off unruly passengers. In general, the last place on earth a single person should be. I was thankful I came with friends. My travelling companions and I took excursions in Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We are planning to go back to Jamaica and stay at the Iberostar Rose Hotel in Jaimaica that was the site of one of our excursions. Disembarkation was a madhouse, as you might expect with no employees. We heard some voices over the PA system, but that was as close as we got to any organization. This was my first cruise. I found the positive aspects of the journey far outweighed any negative impressions. I plan on cruising again, but I will research more carefully next time to find a cruise line that avoids the glaring shortcoming of personal service that Royal Carribean exhibited. Read Less

Cruised on Allure of the Seas on the July 17, 2011 to the Western Caribbean and although the ship and its amenities are magnificent, my recommendation is to only sail when the ship is not at full capacity. Simply put, if you are a fan of shopping at the mall two days before Christmas, this is the cruise for you. If you prefer to sail on a cruise where your main memory is not waiting in one line or the other, then pick another ship or better yet, sail on the Allure when it is not so full. But first, there was much to like (or even love). The GOOD:The SHIP: Fabulous, stunning, shimmering, dazzling, tremendous, wonderful. Pick a positive adjective. The ship is truly breath taking. The neighborhood concept is very clever as each has a unique character of its own. One of the places to escape (and trust me you will need it) is Central Park. Pop a squat at Park Cafe and you will truly think you are sitting in a secluded park somewhere in a small Midwest town. We also spent a lot of time at the Boardwalk. Check out the Ice Cream shop, our boys thought it was some of the best they have had. The Pool and Sports Zone 'hood was second to none. Do the Zip Line and the Flow Rider. Tip: sign the waiver online and get your wrist band early in the cruise. Best times to Flowride and Zip are days at port and early in the day/cruise. Towards the end of the cruise, the lines get pretty long. The Solarium (adult pool area) was huge and another great place to escape. And even though the ship is huge, no worries about getting lost. They have these awesome touch screens that tell you where you are, what is going on, and how to get to where you want to go. ROOMS: Our room was very nice. Always kept clean. It seemed like some magic fairy came in and quickly cleaned it even when we had just left for an hour or so. GYM: Best of the best. Tons of nice, new equipment and extremely spacious. Could have used more free weights, but that is a nit. EMBARKATION: The Ft. Lauderdale crew was great. We arrived at 11:30 and were on the ship in less than 20 minutes. The ENTERTAINMENT: Top notch. Ocean Aria was our favorite. Like seeing a mini Vegas show. The Chicago production was fantastic and the way RCI interweaved the DreamWorks characters with shows, parades and character visits was a real treat. The Comedy show was great, but it was disappointing that there was only one set of comedians. Each show was a just a repeat. Other ships rotate comedians and I would suggest Allure do the same. The Ice Games show was pretty cheesy, so go at your own risk. Tip: Make reservations early as most shows sell out. If you forget to do it before you cruise, go to Studio B when you first get on the ship and you can make entertainment and dinner reservations. But the absolute highlight of all the entertainment was Cruise Director Allan Brooks. He is simply one of the funniest humans on the planet (Cruise Director Julie is not worthy to carry Allan's jock). Go to any show where he is emcee. A Dating Game knockoff, Love and Marriage, was milk out of the nose funny. An adult Quest Game show (Don't ask, just go, and leave the kids behind) was equally hilarious (I am still amazed at how quick some women can doff a bra. Again, don't ask). The BAD (WELL, MAYBE JUST THE NOT SO GOOD):SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS: Sure all cruise lines count on you spending some jack once on board, but Allure gives you plenty of opportunities to empty your wallet. They have a bunch of premium restaurants, but we were left less than impressed. We did Sambas Grill (Brazilian steakhouse) and Izumi (sushi). Both were O.K. Nothing special except that you could escape the crowds when you eat. But neither was really worth the nominal charge. Save some money and stick with the regular dining room as the food was just as good with a better selection. SERVICE: This was pretty surprising since this is the third RCI we have been on, but the service was...well, just alright. Some staff were great (Donna, Bernard, Sander), but most just seemed to be doing their job. I don't need everyone to have some Richard Simmons over the top positive personality, but some emotion would have been nice. They were professional, but many seemed...sterile. THE UGLY:TOO. MANY. PEOPLE. We were told our sailing was at full capacity at over 6,000 guests and quite simply, the ship and crew just were not built for this mass of humanity. You WILL wait...and wait on everything. Get ready to wait on elevators as there is just not enough. The typical scenario was to hit the up/down button and wait...and wait. When one did arrive, the scramble to get on was something to behold. I am not kidding when I saw old people knocked out of the way by guests pushing to get on as if they were cramming onto a Japanese subway. If you were lucky to get on the first elevator (which was rare, usually it took two or three tries to get on an elevator), then you will stop on every floor. Most would be empty as people abandoned their wait and just decided to take the stairs. Very poorly planned. Unbelievably disappointing. Get used to waiting on restaurants. Whether reservation or My Time, there was always a big wait to get seated. Once seated, the wait between courses was pretty substandard. The worst experience was the Windjammer buffet. No matter what time you went, there was a mass of people fighting to get a table or even to get into the restaurant. Several times, the wait was 20-30 minutes just to get into a buffet. Seriously? The Golden Corral seemed more organized. Again, poor, poor planningDuring busy times on the Promenade, it was as if you were a salmon swimming upstream. There were wall to wall people everywhere. Imagine trying to get to Sears on the other end of the mall on December 23rd during a 50% off sale with Justin Beiber performing in the Food Court and you will get the idea. Debarkation (as other have mentioned) was a joke. Kind of an "every man for himself" attitude. At one point I heard an RCI crew shouting into a 2-way that he had no control over the crowd and could not believe the line to exit the ship wrapped around the elevator. Line jumping was rampant as there seemed to be no crew (or roped off areas) to keep the impatient guest in check. It was just a massive push to the exit. I am sure the bean counters at RCI thought if big is better than even more should be fantastic. Sadly, the quality of the cruise suffered greatly because of just too many people in too tight (yes, even on this behemoth) of a space. RCI boosts that when you sail on Allure you will not feel like you are on a ship with 6,000 people. They were correct, many times it seemed like there are 7 or 8,000. Read Less

I like getting so far out to sea that I cannot see land in any direction.. for a long time. To me a cruise doesn't need to be a worldly affair centered around drunkenness, glitzy shows, or other things that I'll regret later on. Some smaller ships, even yacht-size.. especially the ones with big sails like Windstar ships have really turn me on, but other times when I want to read or rest it just doesn't matter. The people were nice and professional they did their jobs well. I went to the nice restaurant once--wasn't motivated. I think I enjoyed the chatting, the exploring cultures and meeting the Nationals away from terrorist shops/bars/casinos.. the most. Getting in and under the turquoise waters is always a must. Surfing waves, casual conversational prayers of friendship, and sailing a small boat also helps me. Refreshing, rejuvenating, revitalizing! I choose a 1 to 3 week cruise (And help others find them too) when the kids are in school (important)..even though I like some kids a bit. In some locations a 1 or 2-day connected train-tour attached.. never hurts the cruise. The pool, the gym, the jacuzzi, the jet skiing, the top deck lounge with breeze, the lobster with crab meat, the papayas, the scuba, the snorkeling, the quiet southern and eastern Caribbean beaches -- that's why I sailaway. The food is grat, the service great as well. The ship looks old in the cabin. I really like royal caribean cruise and I hope have another cruise soon. The next time I will try a diferent ship. If you go 2 times to the same cruise the felling is less satisfied than the first time. flow rider is the best attraction it should have 4 or 3 of them becouse so many people in the line. you have to waite like a 45 minutes to be able to ride 2 minutes. conclution: food (great) location (great) ship (is great but could be better) Price (great) cabin (is the same have balcony or the cheaper ones) entreteiment (good but is allways the same) Read Less

It's was our first time sailing with Royal Caribbean. We've sailed with NCL 3x, and 1 with Carnival. Firstly, this was the most beautiful cruise ship that I've seen compared to our previous ones. Embarkation was amazingly fast and smooth (literally, less than 30mins). We were on the ship by 11am! Room: we got the extra large balcony 11th floor. Michelle was our housekeeper. She was nice and worked really hard. However, the first impression of the room, I was repulsed by the strong urine odor in the bathroom. The closest had many hand prints and streaks on it. Michelle, told me that there were previously teenage boys in our cabin therefore it might be the reason to the smell. I carried disinfectant wipes and wiped down everything once more, but the bathroom (urine smell) near the toilet bothered me many days. Michelle, helped pour bleach in the bowl but after awhile the smell returned. Restaurants: 150 had the best foods I've ever had in my life! The sea bass was so so amazing! We dined also at Chops Grill (it's decent 7/10). But the service and food at 150 definitely left an everlasting impression. My favorite was the 6 types of salt to sprinkle on the bread and butter. Our server Shalone was so kind, he made the Tuna Tare Tare at our table side. During he would share with us about his family, and ask us about ours as well. He just had a genuine charm to him. It was so nice that our last night we returned to 150 again. This time we had Milos. Milos was also very nice and accommodating. For example, I saw a table across with a plate of blueberries/strawberries. It was not on the menu but he made sure to get a plate for me as well. Gym/Fitness: Very spacious and state of the art machines. Of course majority of the patrons were very attractive cruise performers. I was told they are required to work out minimum 5x/week on their contract. Anyhow, the fitness fell short of my satisfaction. I take classes for the past 11 years (boot camp, step, body pump, insanity etc). They offered body sculpt for $35/class (approx 45 mins). NCL offers classes similar to body sculpt for free. But I was willing to pay. I signed up for 2 classes. The first one was taught by Fabio and it met the standard for this type of class. The 2nd time it was taught by Harold (one of the head fitness person at the gym) the format was purely cardio no weights (I prefer interchanging cardio/weights). It was similar to insanity, however the instructor did not offer any modifications. There was 3 of us, and one participant was struggling a lot throughout the class. I was disappointed that the instructor did not offer modifications for the participants. After the class, we signed the receipt and I was just not happy with the format by the instructor. I did not add a gratuity to the instructor's hand written the line with the word "tip" next to it. His face and entire attitude completely change. He went from friendly to ignoring me and no more smiles. I don't like complaining but it bothered me so much I approached customer service. I felt the instructor should have offered modification for the participants. Considering the huge age gap and fitness level. Mariam at customer serviced helped me and returned with a verdict. They do not offer refunds because for the reason that the class was too challenging. And the only compensation would be to join a stretching event (free to all cruisers) later. I was mildly insulted. They were under the impression that I went to a hard class and complained it was too hard. But what I was trying to state is that a good fitness instructor will want the participant to be safe and gain the most out of the workout by making modifications. Anyhow, I was disappointed but nothing else can be done. Kids Club: Amazing! My 4 year old son loved the activities. I was surprised how the club was able to accommodate for 1500 children on our cruise ship. There was the science lab also and art studio. My 1 year old toddler went to the baby cruisers ($6-$8/hour). The sitters did a terrific job with her as well. Overall, I loved it minus the gym class experience. Read Less

This was our first time cruising as a husband and wife. We had a great time. Staff was always friendly. Embarkation was quick. We were on the boat by noon, in our room by 1 and had our luggage by 1:30. The ports were beautiful and the ship was nothing short of amazing. The service was great in our stateroom. We always had a clean room. The main dining room staff was great too. Never any complaints from us in terms of the service. The only complaint I did have was regarding the food in terms of quality. Don't expect a good steak unless you want to pay an up charge. My husband ordered the New York strip on the regular menu in the main dining room and it was disgusting. It was white in color and a tough piece of meat. He rarely turns down steak when its in front of him and it was nothing short of not edible. There were a few times our food came out cold from the kitchen which got disappointing after a while. But other than the steak and occasional cold food, everything else was very good. The entertainment was great. We loved the Schooner bar. We sat in it every night and listened to Matt Ganim play the piano and entertain. Overall, we had a great time and already have another cruise booked with Royal Caribbean for next year! Read Less

We booked this cruise as a 60th birthday celebration for two of us and for our friends 51st wedding anniversary celebration. The Allure of the Sea, is a beautiful upper end cruise ship, with lots of variety in shops like that of Michael Kors,Prince Green and other more sophisticated taste in shops. A floor level with a variety in casino's and poker championships with smoking allowed. Cabins were spacious and well attended. Our cabin had a lavender scent which was soothing after being on-shore for exciting excursions Dining rooms and servers were first rate and entertaining, Kershan and Imade were funny and did magic tricks to entertain us while we waited on our dinner to be ready. Ports and Shore excursions were easily accessible, lots of Royal Caribbean stores on port. On board entertainment was great from the jazz bands to the comedy of Jeff McGraff. A very relaxing and enjoyable cruise to unwind and de-stress from life's normalcy. Read Less

Several friends recommended Allure of the Seas and we wanted a short get away and since we live on South Florida, this was a great short vacation. The ship was beautiful and you have plenty of to do the entire cruise, never a dull moment. The staff was very friendly and courteous to us, making sure we had a great experience. I think that overall the dining, entertainment and activities available in this ship were very good and I am sure it met most people expectation. There was something for all aged group and the staff make sure that at the end you had Fun. The staff make sure to keep all areas clean and encouraged hand sanitizing to prevent people from getting sick. In a ship with over 4000 passenger that was a tremendous task to accomplish but it payoff no one got sick. I will definitely recommend this cruise line to my friends. I think they have great new ships, great interesting destination ports and above all good customer service. Read Less

There were loads to do all day on the ship and the activities varied from spa treatments, sport activities, very interesting seminars, water sport activities as well a broadway style shows and las vegas style concerts in the evenings. There is something for everyone. The food was very good in most restaurants especially the main restaurants with loads of varieties for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The ship is huge and there are different 'Neighbourhoods' to enjoy different aspects. There were loads of shore excursions to choose from per port, my favourite one has to be the one in Labadee Haiti, we chose the Historic Walking tour and the Amiga Island. The only drawback was the price of the beverage packages, they are too expensive for what they are especially the non alcoholic ones. Read Less

Family of four, including 2-11 yr olds Spring break. 4th cruise with previous experience being Celebrity and Norwegian. To start off our family enjoyed this experience. Now I'll share the highlights..... Embarkation was hassle free. We arrived about 11:30 and was on the ship within 45 minutes. Our rooms were ready around 1:00. The ship staff was consistently pleasant and helpful. I will start with the one and only negative. The food in the buffet is horrible. The same offerings were provided daily, the buffets design leads to long lines and insufficient seating spaces for the large number of passengers. There is a gluten free section. While complimentary food offerings are provided thoughout the ship, it's typically mini versions of the bad buffet. If you want an omelette, the MDR or the restaurant offers this. Johnny Rockets also provides free breakfast. The main dining room did well, as well as Giovanni's the specialty restaurant. We did have free lobster in the MDR one night. As a norm Lobster, surf and turf as well as Filet Mignon are offered for an additional fee daily. Now to the good stuff... I was impressed with the the ships design and the creativity with emulating neighborhoods. Although we were at capacity it didn't feel crowded. There is a variety of activities available for all. To ensure you maximize your free time reserve all of your activities before you board. If you don't do so you may spend an inordinate amount of time waiting in stand by lines as early as 45 minutes in advance. My husband became a flow rider junkie and we pretty much lost him to that activity the entire cruise. The pool area is a highlight with the area divided into quadrants. On Sea days you should get your chairs early but they are plentiful. Hold onto your beach towels because they post you will be charged 25.00 if you don't return them. Smoking is allowed outside on one side of the pool. The hot tubs are plentiful and spacious and I didn't experience the typical kids crowding the hot tubs. The Solarium area reserved for 16 and over is quite nice and spacious. The spa area is on the lower floors and has no natural light. I would normally purchase day passes, but with no sunlight it was not a consideration. Since you typically gain a few pounds on a cruise I began my fitness and eating regime early. There is a nice fitness area and a running track on a lower floor that allows freedom to exercise without running accidentally into other passengers. Entertainment was quite enjoyable. Mama Mia and Blue Planet was nice. There was an a cappella group that I could not enjoy because the theater was freezing. Kids loved the ice skating shows. The comedy show was excellent. Additional offerings include ice skating (watch the schedule as 50 people can skate for every 30 minute session) adult and children's movies on the big screen, a nice casino (smoking and non smoking) karaoke and several venues for listening to music and dancing the night away. This can be a success as long as you know what to do when...you could end up extremely frustrated without doing some homework and planning in advance.. I waited to purchase the premium drink package and got it for a 20 percent discount one week prior to the cruise... Labadee was a bust because the beach is rocky and the water is frightfully dirty and I don't need to ever go there again -Jamaica and Cozumel were magnificent. I would recommend this cruise to those that want to have a good time and have options. Read Less

Positives: 1. The ship is beautiful. Cabins are better than on any major lines (larger, well designed, without external noise). The neighborhoods across ship are great: very nicely decorated. 2. Super clean on every step. 3. The biggest shows are super. This includes the show Chicago, Ice Skating Games, Aqua show, Blue Planet. Comedy is OK. 4. Food in the main dining room was exceptional (comparable to Celebrity, which also tends to have superb food). Food in Solarium Cafe and Windjammer was very good. The choices on Boardwalk tasted surprisingly well. 5. We did not run into any major lines: embarkation was very fast, no wait getting to ports, some small wait sometimes for dinners (worst case was once 15 minutes) Negatives: 1. Lack of positive attitude, Everybody is "just doing their job." Very different from Liberty, Serenade, Voyager, or Princess cruises, where positive attitude was obvious. 2. While the big shows were spectacular, other types of entertainment were not exceptional: first-time cruisers tended to like the cruise director, but those that have been on other cruises uniformly described him as below average. Quality of music across ship was not exceptional, singers in the bars not exceptional, some just poor. 3. The fitness activities comparable to Celebrity, but below NCL or many other RCI ships: very limited number of free classes (only 3 classes and they took place at 7 am). No more competitive fitness spirit, earning vitality stars. Yes, the ship has water surfing and rock climbing (like Freedom, Liberty, and Oasis), but total lack of excitement from the staff made these less attractive. Altogether, this felt like the most beautiful ship, but without the soul/spirit that other ships have. We would rather repeat Liberty, Serenade, or Voyager where enthusiastic attitude of the whole crew makes the whole experience so memorable, rather than repeating Allure. Our heuristic is now: for shows/entertainment, it is difficult to beat NCL. Service is best on Princess, followed by some Celebrity and some RCI ships (Serenade, Liberty, Voyager).   Read Less

After looking into many questions before I leave for the cruise, I feel compelled to share my first cruise with our friends. After much deliberation we decided that some of the 50th birthday celebrations would be Cruise (for the first time). The date of the cruise was determined following family constraints for the Passover holiday of 2019 in April. Since this is the first time we make a cruise and after a thorough examination it was decided to go on one of the best - a large ship of Royal Caribbean. As stated, there were time constraints and therefore the cruise was chosen with the Allure Of The Seas, https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-sh…/allure-of-the-seas, Western Caribbean track, 7 nights with 4 anchors in NASSAU- BAHAMAS, COZUMEL-MEXICO, ROATAN-HONDURAS, PUERTO COSTA MAYA-MEXICO and 2 DAYS ONLY, Departure from Miami. Now it was left to choose which agency would invite the cruise. There are many opinions whether to order through an Israeli agency or through a foreign agency. After a thorough and thorough examination, I found out that the company Crozit, https://www.cruiseit.co.il/, with the agent Orit Cohen Rochov gave the best offer. As I mentioned, it was decided to order with a minimum risk and therefore the room with balcony to the ocean, on the 11th floor in the center of the ship (room number 11590 D2). The room is spacious enough, a double bed and a sofa bed, a shower with excellent water flow and a balcony facing the sea, television, storage closet, 110 and 220 volts power sockets. It is difficult to describe in words the experience of sitting on the balcony while sailing and sleeping with an open window and hearing the waves coming back - an experience! The ship is huge, really a floating hotel. Many different types of rooms, countless dining rooms, restaurants, cafes, 2 promenades with vegetation, casino, swimming pools, Jacuzzi, climbing wall, Omega, surfing and more. 2 notable restaurants for light meals: 1. Park Caffe - Salads, sandwiches, cakes and flag sandwich with roast beef 2. The pizza restaurant The ship has a wide range of performances, including Mamma Mia, acrobatic show with oceanAria, Ice Ice show, Blue Planet, Headliner Showtime and more. About 60-90 days before the cruise, the possibility of planning the cruise is open on the Royal Caribbean site, ordering an hour for dinner (17.30, 20.00 or "on my own time"), ordering the various shows on the ship and booking excursions at the ports. For convenience and schedule of performances we chose the time 20.00, we got a regular table in the dining room on the 5th floor and regular waiters. In accordance with our needs, we purchased in advance and at a discounted price Classic Soda Package, which includes soft drinks and cola and an internet package VOOM Surf + STREAM Voyage Package - 1 Device Additional alcoholic beverages, coffee, shakes and more can be purchased. It is also possible to purchase a 10-cup card or a 10-alcoholic card. Each room has the option of bringing 12 bottles of 17 oz and 2 bottles of wine to the ship. In the boat, at various meals, you will be served free glasses of water and juices. The ship anchored at the port of Miami in Terminal 1 of Royal Caribbean, we reached the port of the car rental agency in the city and left the port to the airport on a trip with uber. The check-in and check-out of the ship is carried out with remarkable efficiency with no queue and speed. The attractions we did at our ports were: NASSAU-BAHAMAS - taxi ride ($ 10 toward) Cabbage Beach on the island island Paradise Island, a beach with soft white sand and good water for bathing. You can rent 2 sunbeds + umbrella for $ 20, and there are street vendors selling drinks. You can walk to the beach of the luxurious Atlantis Bahamas and even enter the hotel grounds and be impressed by it. COZUMEL-MEXICO - A fun day of sailing to spectacular blue lagoons and dive snorkeling, booked through http://cozumelcruiseexcursions.net/cozumel-snorkel-tour-res…, at a cost of $ 50 per participant. ROATAN-HONDURAS - We booked a day trip to the island with a local operator named Francklin Gálvez, francklinalexisgalvezbonilla1@gmail.com, a nice guy who tries very hard to please the guests he accompanies. Franklin charges $ 20 per participant for a full day of pick-up and return from / to port and travel according to an agreed plan. ($ 10) Visit the Chocolate and Fun Factory at the stunning beach of West Bay Beach (one of the resorts, plus sun beds + umbrella $ 15) PUERTO COSTA MAYA-MEXICO - We ordered a $ 50 golf car from MAYAHUAL Local Golf Car, https://costa-maya-golf-cars.negocio.site/, marvin1907@yahoo.com.mx and drove to the beaches of the nearby village of MAYAHUAL Docking Port . In retrospect it is unnecessary and you can reach this coastal strip with a local taxi. The coast of the Costa Maya disappointed. Hope this summary will help others. I'll be happy to answer any question. Yaari Read Less

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Know exactly what they are doing, right from the boarding, it was fast and efficient. The rooms are clean and well maintained, we were surprised to have vip perks which included a bottle of wine to enjoy on our deck overlooking Central Park. The entertainment is top notch and amazing, Mamma Mia, the Ice Games show, the aqua theatre show, the headliner show , the Comedy act had us in tears we laughed so much. The Blue Planet was totally amazing, definitely a must see.The food is great, except the coffee was very strong, at least for me. The specialty dining is well worth doing, we ate at Chopps Grille , if you love steak you won’t be disappointed. All The staff is very friendly. There is so much to do on the ship, non stop entertainment, many pools and hot tubs. The Schooner bar had a great piano player. Plus there is a jazz club. Fitness centre with top of the line equipment, running track and beautiful spa....... It is a floating city, I highly recommend this Cruise Line. Read Less

First, I chose the cruise based on the feedback from colleagues. Based on my family's experience on this cruise last week, I can only say "stupendous and glamorous". From the embarkation port at Fort Lauderdale to the stateroom (Central Park Balcony) was smooth, fast and orderly. The dining rooms were just breathtaking with variety food from diet to gain weight gourmet (just kidding). Entertainment is first class Broad Way and the New Year's Eve was Times Square on the Ocean. Guys it is expensive but it worth every dime that we spent with our two teen boys. The teen lounge is paradise. Safety is top notch. Go and discover the beauty of your home on this classy Allure of the Seas on the ocean. I have cruised many times, but this is the master of them all! Ready to cruise Symphony of the Seas!!!! Our two teenage boys couldn't stop texting their friends of the fun they had with other teens at the teen lounge. Kids were disciplined and well informed with security 24/7 unlike other cruise line that will abandon the kids to roam around and engage in foolishness. Allure of the Seas is classy ! I chose this particular cruise mainly because of my sister's and brother-in-law's suggestion. They (Brian and Maria Taylor, if you care to know) are avid Royal Caribbean "cruisers". We weren't disappointed for my family and I wholeheartedly enjoyed our experience as well. The food, activities, entertainment, and staff/crew friendliness were excellent. My entire family also enjoyed shopping during the huge sale on several items toward the end of the cruise. The availability of fun, shopping and activities outside the ship (while on shore) were excellent as well. The ship itself is beautiful, clean, aesthetically designed and makes you forget that you're even floating in the middle of the ocean. My family have already started planning on our next Royal Caribbean cruise and I believe we will be joined by a lot more family members and friends. So it would definitely be a much larger group. I would definitely suggest the Royal Caribbean cruise to my friends and relatives. Read Less

First impressions, this SHIP IS AWESOME. I loved the updated interior and exterior of ship. The interior stateroom I stayed in was decent sized and included a safe; which I loved. Everything is very well kept and they make it easy to navigate this floating city. I enjoyed the different neighborhoods as it gave new flavors to different areas aboard. I'd say my favorite part was the various sports activities including basketball, and flow rider! The unlimited frozen yogurt was a huge plus. You'll enjoy the dining options, although the complimentary breakfast and lunches are a little repetitive as far as options (you'll eat A LOT of pizza and hot dogs), the dinner menu changes every night and there are a lot of options to choose from. On board entertainment is awesome and free. Other premium dining and souvenirs are available on the ship, but do cost quite a bit, so be ready to spend more money if you would like specialty drinks or items. The Ports on this cruise were fantastic! Labadee and Cozumel were a paradise and I would recommend doing shore excursions there. We went to the mainland in Mexico and did the Xplor tour, which was worth every dollar spent! Jamaica is very interesting and if you go exploring in the actual city where the locals live, be ready to be hassled a bit. They will offer to escort you anywhere in the city for a price, be careful with this, and remember you can find most things on your own. I would recommend trying a jelly (coconut water) while there. I loved the Royal Caribbean experience and you'll love the staff. They are so nice to you all the time and help make your trip truly feel like a vacation! Read Less

Excellent service, great food and spectacular shows! Allure of the Seas has so much to offer for any age group! Every day is different even you stay so many days in same ship. Fort Laudendale is good starting place and it is fun to visit different countries between the cruise. We mainly used restaurants that have not extra fees. Soda and Voom package was great as we drink a lot of Coca-Cola Zero and both use internet quite much. :) Internet works very well and soda automats were really useful on a warm sunny days at deck. The service all over the ship was great. Our stateroom attendant kept our room impeccably clean and was so attentive. We also loved our balcony room on deck 9. After a cruise Everglades Air Boat Cruise in Sawgrass was also very cood (even it was our trips only rainy day) as we have time to spent before flight back to Finland. Read Less

Great Cruise - Highly recommend to all. Great Staff... Clean Ship. If you want to relax and be pampered this is the cruiseline to choose. if you are on the "fence" take my word for it... Royal Carribean International is the Best in the Industry. We enjoyed the Vitality Spa every morning. The Fresh fruit and juice bar was very refreshing after our workout. The equipment was top of the line. The outdoor track made it nice to get some exercise outdoors as well. The Solarium offered a bit more somewhat healthy breakfast in the morning. We tried to avoid the crowds in the windjammer. We spent most of our time before and after dinner in the Champagne and Martini Bar. The bar staff in their was the BEST!!! Friendly, personable, and hospitable!!! We loved speaking with Hasan, Ana and Wayne daily. Giovanni's restaurant was very tasty. Huge portions. Great staff. We also dined at Izumi Sushi. Very Fresh. Overall, we had a great week! We will be back next year! Read Less

We choose this cruise as a last minute cruise (within 40 days) because we are cruise fanatics and in need of a cruise since our last one (December 2016). We were Diamond members and now will be Diamond Plus. We have always enjoyed the service and was beginning to wonder what more was there to making a distinction of the various levels of status. Well now, Royal Caribbean has finally made that distinction with regard to the various Royal Classes (Star, Sky & Sea). I mentioned in my review that this was a game changer! The Costal Kitchen makes the former Viking Crown Lounge a more useful venue than previously used. The access provided to card members of suites into the venues is also a welcome addition to include all shows and the sun deck on the 18th deck. The fact that the lounge is now open almost 24 hours makes a little more sense instead of between the hours of 4:30-8:30 PM regarding drinks for your Diamond or Suite guest. Debarkation was also a highlight that in all our years of cruising RC, we never experienced. We loved the fact that a full breakfast menu was offered in the Coastal Kitchen as well as escorted service to customs and baggage taken right to the airport to be picked up at your destination airport! This was also huge for us! We loved it! Of all our cruises, this ranks pretty high on our list as the best! Read Less

Naik, Joshi and the Head Waiter on the Main Dining Room were FANTASTIC. We had never experience such caring, professional and courteous service in any other place. They were paid close attention to every single detail on the first night with them and from there, they knew (remembered) exactly what our preferences were. As an example, I follow a low glycemic diet, my husband is a seafood passionate, my youngest daughter loves fresh bread with olive oil & pepper, my son loves brownies and my oldest daughter has a preference for gluten free meals… both of them (and the Head Waiter) made sure that we understood the menu and treated us with the best options and pleased all or our requests. I don’t have words to explain the high quality of service they provided us. We are beyond grateful and satisfied with them. Everyone on the Dinning areas were excellent, but the three of them were EXCEPTIONAL: provided an out of this world experience to our family Our Room Attendant was very organized and polite. She was very friendly and my youngest daughter enjoyed all the pretty towel creations she made for us. She even showed her how to create them!!! We are really impressed of how well she kept our rooms Kevin (I think that was his name; I clearly remember he was from Colombia), at the Guest Services Desk helped us a lot to understand our reservations and provided us great information & suggestions to make the most our vacation. He did not seemed rushed and took the time to answer all of our questions. We also loved the bar service and music (we were one of the couples that danced all night long) and the Latin Lounge. The sports team and show performers were also one of our favorites in the cruise. The Calypso Band was great and I strongly suggest that they should play more often in the pool area. The DJ at Blaze played super cool music and was very friendly as well. Read Less
