After 6 Carnival Cruises as my kiddos grew up we would look with wonder at the big ships and say "someday." Now that the kiddos are grown (19 & 21) it was time to go on a mega ship. We had cruised RC before but it was eons ago. We were slated for Harmony but Covid.... so Allure.
The ship is beautiful. So many details and quality craftsmanship put into her. However, the design being centered ...
I chose this cruise because of the ports--Labadee, Aruba, and Curacao. I have been on the Allure twice before, more than ten years ago. She is a beautiful, very special ship, but most definitely showing her age and in need of an update.
We sailed at high capacity (5000) with 1200 crew. There were not enough crew to keep up with the masses. Some shops never opened, and I have to assume that was ...
Chose this cruise 6 weeks prior to departure. For us it was just a matter of comfort level and risk we were willing to take once we saw how COVID was coming out of winter. Wife and I have stuck with Norwegian and RC over the 8 cruises we did. Nothing on this cruise changed my opinion of RC in terms of using again.
We were on this same ship in 2014 so we knew what we were getting in terms of ...
Had several cruises and vacations canceled in the last 2 years, so excited to finally get on a cruise.
Most of this post was my comments shared with cruise line on their after cruise questionnaire. Not sure if they read, but after taking the time to comment, thought I would share.
Went with husband and 2 kids, after canceling a Celebrity Cruise that was during this same time a few months ...
Two seniors (70+) from AZ traveling without our cruise buds this time.
Having taken the Oasis in 2009 my partner suggested following up with an Allure cruise to see if it were as enjoyable. Our last RC cruise was almost four years ago.
Transport to FLL - With departure on a Saturday this meant a Friday flight to arrive the day before.A flight on a Friday to south Florida means high cost ...
I was part of a group convention that took place on the Allure in February 2022. The ship had about 3,000 passengers, or about 60% full. While we were told 'everything would be up and running' we found that generally was not true in all cases. In many situations, hours were cut or openings were hard to come by. Shows booked fast. When something was cancelled it was rarely replaced. There was ...
Ship was large and nice decor. Workout room not in good location on 6th floor with port hole windows and 30 of the same machine . Not enough variety of cardio equipment. Dinner was amazing in dining room. windjammer food was horrible . No sandwich that was good in whole ship , hamburgers bad. Undercooked. Watered down wraps in Central Park. I tried several places for lunch.
Comedy was good ...
We booked this cruise over 1 1/2 years ago thinking Corona would be a distant memory. We almost cancelled since the positivity rate was close to an all time high. Glad we chose to go even though my sons gf tested positive and they had to cancel last minute. Ship had less than 2300 passengers who sailed! We saw many sea passes waiting for passengers who never got on board.
Embarkation-Our ...
Cruise was selected by my girlfriend and as substitute due to COVID postponement last year.
Embarkation from Port Canaveral was swift but teadeous as proof of COVID test was shown to staff four times.
Traveled as a older couple with majority of passengers being elderly.
We had a large comfortable jr suite, with bath tub, oversized balcony and closet with the most comfortable king bed I ...
WE were on our 50th annivesary with Kids and grandkids .. previous two cruises were cancelled because of covid .
.. The ship was not filled , so I was suprised to see we were not upgraded as we are Diamond cruisers .
Entertainment was sparse , no daily shows in the Amber auditorium ... But Mama Mia was a great show with only 10% of the seats filled .. Food in the main dining room was ...
