We had been on the Allure not long after it was first launched and we were curious to see how it has fared in the meantime. We like this ship better than some of the newer Oasis class ships. First of all it has the Broadway show Mama Mia! Un fortunately the cast was not up to the standard of the first time we saw it on this ship. That cast and production was every bit up to the quality level ...

Had several cruises and vacations canceled in the last 2 years, so excited to finally get on a cruise. Most of this post was my comments shared with cruise line on their after cruise questionnaire. Not sure if they read, but after taking the time to comment, thought I would share. Went with husband and 2 kids, after canceling a Celebrity Cruise that was during this same time a few months ...

Decent ship, but amenities still lacking due to COVID

I was part of a group convention that took place on the Allure in February 2022. The ship had about 3,000 passengers, or about 60% full. While we were told 'everything would be up and running' we found that generally was not true in all cases. In many situations, hours were cut or openings were hard to come by. Shows booked fast. When something was cancelled it was rarely replaced. There was ...

Ship was large and nice decor. Workout room not in good location on 6th floor with port hole windows and 30 of the same machine . Not enough variety of cardio equipment. Dinner was amazing in dining room. windjammer food was horrible . No sandwich that was good in whole ship , hamburgers bad. Undercooked. Watered down wraps in Central Park. I tried several places for lunch. Comedy was good ...

Cruise was selected by my girlfriend and as substitute due to COVID postponement last year. Embarkation from Port Canaveral was swift but teadeous as proof of COVID test was shown to staff four times. Traveled as a older couple with majority of passengers being elderly. We had a large comfortable jr suite, with bath tub, oversized balcony and closet with the most comfortable king bed I ...

WE were on our 50th annivesary with Kids and grandkids .. previous two cruises were cancelled because of covid . .. The ship was not filled , so I was suprised to see we were not upgraded as we are Diamond cruisers . Entertainment was sparse , no daily shows in the Amber auditorium ... But Mama Mia was a great show with only 10% of the seats filled .. Food in the main dining room was ...

Covid Cruising

I know context can be important for these reviews, so to give an idea of demographics, we are a married couple in our mid twenties with no children. It was my second cruise, and my husbands first. As you can imagine, we were not as affluent as the majority of the cruise goers, and also were quite a bit spry in comparison with the demographics of this cruise (the cruise was almost entirely made up ...

Friends asked us to join them on this cruise pre-covid. Was not sure it would even happen with all the other cruise cancellations however it went off without a hitch as they say and Royal Caribbean did not fail in making passengers feel safe during the 7 day trip. Embarkation was a breeze but had to show documentation 4 times before being allowed on board. All employees were super friendly ...

We were excited to go on a trip since we have been locked up since 2019 like most people. We were also pretty worried/ concerned with the surge in cases prior to our trip. here is a review on what to expect while you cruise during this pandemic. (the highlights and changes from your normal cruise) 1. Pre Cruise: Royal Caribbean was very active in sending reminders and updates with health ...

Great, but could have been better

I will start off saying our cruise experience was really good. Overall, our party of 5 (4,25,26,54,55 y/o) all had a blast. We had two rooms and the service at our rooms was really good. Our head waiter (Joey) was great in the dining hall. A little shy, but slowly broke out of his shell. For the food, it left us wanting more. Some items were great! Some, not so much. We got a lot of over cooked ...
