We were 3 generations on a 5 day cruise aboard the Allure. It is a wonderful ship with lots to do. We managed to do most of the things that we had planned including all of the shows, meals in the dining room nightly, and lots of sun both on the ship and in port. Loved our ocean view balcony cabins--6704, 6706, 6708--great location on the ship, aft, quiet, near most of the activities. Opened up the partitions between the balconies and it was like having a 3 room suite. Easy to share info with the family without ever leaving our cabins. The entertainment was very good. Loved the production of MaMa Mia! We didn't book any excursions. Just got to the post, hired drivers to take us to the best beaches and enjoyed the water. Loved the large ship. Hoping to do the Harmony next. Service, food, no lines at dinner for alt. dining with a reservation, good wait staff, Only complaint was embarkation was slow-even though we are Emerald--took at least 40 minutes to get to the front of the line. Disembarkation was really slow----they had us circling the dining room to get off of the ship--and we were just walking off. Then customs was really slow---at least an hour in line. Need to improve both of these systems when you are handling that many people. Read Less

This was an unusual five day cruise for the Allure of the Seas. We took our children and grandchildren for Christmas. It was a wonderful time. So many different options for all of us. We love RC and this class ship.We went for a junior suite and it was wonderful. I'm spoiled now, but can't justify the price if it is too much more. The children loved all of the shows and activities and they tried them all. Flowrider, ice skating, rock climbing wall. The thoroughly enjoyed being spoiled with ice cream and a cookie every night. My granddaughter said she wished everything was "free" all of the time. Our older children went on a cave diving excursion and they said it was wonderful. We went to Atlantic and to a fort as well as some shopping. The grandchildren loved watching a local make a bracelet with their name on in right in front of them. It was just a wonderful time and I would love to do it for Christmas again. Read Less

We booked this cruise as a 60th birthday celebration for two of us and for our friends 51st wedding anniversary celebration. The Allure of the Sea, is a beautiful upper end cruise ship, with lots of variety in shops like that of Michael Kors,Prince Green and other more sophisticated taste in shops. A floor level with a variety in casino's and poker championships with smoking allowed. Cabins were spacious and well attended. Our cabin had a lavender scent which was soothing after being on-shore for exciting excursions Dining rooms and servers were first rate and entertaining, Kershan and Imade were funny and did magic tricks to entertain us while we waited on our dinner to be ready. Ports and Shore excursions were easily accessible, lots of Royal Caribbean stores on port. On board entertainment was great from the jazz bands to the comedy of Jeff McGraff. A very relaxing and enjoyable cruise to unwind and de-stress from life's normalcy. Read Less

Heard from friends and families who have done cruises with RCL, read so much about ROyal Caribbean big ships. The experience did not disappoint! , surpassed our expectations! Love our room on deck 9 overlooking Central Park. Will surely request this room again. There are so many activities depending on interests and physical capabilities. We are older so enjoyed the lovely sitting and lounging areas especially in the promenade, Central Park. Love the evening dining, like going on a date every evening!the daytime meal offerings are so varied and everywhere. There are so many choices available. It was a great challenge to stick to our diet. Impressive cleanliness all around especially in dining rooms and washrooms. The crew were very friendly and helpful, catered to all our requests . We will surely plan another trp with all our children and grandchildren as soon as our schedules will allow.. Cruising with RCL is a must at least once in a lifetime! We are sure that we will do more. Read Less

I have traveled with RCL since 2005 and I had never (to this point) been disappointed with their food, service, or shipboard experience so I was looking forward to taking my grandchildren (both adults) on the Allure of the Seas. We arrived by air the day before the cruise and stayed at the Lago Mar Resort and Club. This is a fantastic place to overnight before the cruise - right on the Atlantic with their own private beach. Embarkation went smoothly for such a large ship and we were on the ship in 30 or 40 minutes. The cabins seemed to be a little less than average size but had enough storage space for both of us (2 ladies - the guys were next door). Our party had connecting staterooms and balconies so we had plenty of room to move around in. The ship had so many areas: Solarium, Central Park, game deck, etc that at times it was easy to move around on a ship with 5500 people. But one of the problems of being on a ship of 5500 people is trying to book all the entertainment before you board the ship without knowing what other type of entertainment will be happening at the same time once you get on the ship (i.e.: scavenger hunts, dodge ball games, world's sexiest man contest) and if you miss your booked time for what ever show you booked (like the ice show) to participate in a dodge ball game you may have missed the opportunity to see that show since the only way to see a show once you missed your booked time was to lurk around the lobby on "stand-by" with at times hundreds of other people to see if any other passengers didn't show up so you could get their spot to see that show. In order to schedule all the shows we wanted to see we sometime had to miss our assigned dinner time but that wasn't all bad since the food was not all that good. I have had much better on other Royal Caribbean ships. On formal night 2 of our party had lobster - one lobster was soft and mushy and the other lobster was tough and stringy. Chicken was dry and stringy on two different nights and on another occasion pasta was almost cold when served. Windjammer was always crowded and a lot of the food was very bland. I had breakfast in the "American Icon" dining room once. I ordered Eggs Benedict and it was served on a sour dough muffin which really overpowered all other flavors and made the dish unappetizing. Soft drinks were extra of course but they were only fountain drinks and only in RC's special cup with a computer chip. I did not buy that package but was in line at guest services with several people who did and they complained that the cups were bulky to carry around all day and they had to trade the cups in several times because their cup failed to fill or only filled with syrup but no soda that seemed to be caused by a faulty computer chip in the cups. As I said before I booked all of our entertainment well in advance including our shore excursions. But be careful if you book your excursions too far in advance. I booked 4 months ahead of time and RC had a sale two months later on all excursions which would have saved me 20 to 30% off the price. I contacted my "Dedicated Royal Caribbean Cruise Vacation Planner" and was told shore excursions were a different department and that I had to cancel all my excursions that I had made on-line and rebook (and pay for them again) in order to receive the savings. Since it was a different "department" of Royal Caribbean he could not help me but he had replied to my email request one day too late for me to cancel and rebook the excursions so I was unable to save approximatedly $210 from the sale on the shore excursions. That being said, the excursions we booked were great, the grandkids loved the Jamaican Bobsled, ziplines, and the XPLOR adventure in Cozumel. Leaving the ship we used RC's "Luggage Valet" service which picked up our luggage at our room on Saturday night and checked it with the airline, printed our baggage tags, confirmed our air reservations, and printed our boarding passes for $25 per person. I considered it the best deal of the cruise! Disembarkation was a lot faster since we did not have to pick up our bags or take them through US Customs. All that was done for us and we just handed in our customs forms, they checked our passports and we were out of the terminal in record time. The good (fantastic ship with plenty to do ALL the time) in my opinion did not overcome the bad (bland food - not well prepared and difficult to schedule entertainment) along with all the upselling RC is doing these days makes me unsure that I will book anymore Royal Caribbean cruises again for awhile. This was our second time on Allure of the seas. We did not do all the shows this time because we saw them 6 months ago. We had a boardwalk balcony 9729. It was the very last room and you could watch the aqua shows if you stood up. This was a big plus for us. You could not see the shows clearly if sitting do to the railing. Every where I read said noise was not an issue. Maybe I have better hearing than others but you could hear the aqua shows music and applause. If there was not a show or other activity then the noise was barely noticeable. The draw back to the room was it was a long walk to anywhere. if you have mobility issues you may not want to book these rooms but do the boardwalk rooms closer to the elevator. A plus was that there was barely any traffic or noise in the hall. Beds were just so so. A little to hard to my liking. My son said the sleep sofa was also hard. In May our bed was not this hard. We had plenty of space for all our stuff in the room. (4 big bags and 3 carry ones) Embarkation went smoothly and quickly. We ate lunch at the park cafe. The salads were good and they have sandwiches too. We could not get into our room until 1330. We did my time dining and picked 730 for nightly reservations. We only ate in the dining room 4 times and 2 out of those 4 times we were not seated until after 0750. Our dining room staff was wonderful and they made the dining much more enjoyable. We had Ronald and Emmanuel. One night our son got a headache during dinner and had to leave. They sent 2 different desserts back to the room for him. On the second night we did Sambas, it was a fantastic experience and they guys just loved all the different kinds of meat. The little cheese filled bread poppers were delicious. The aqua show is wonderful and we loved blue planet too. We had 3 stops. Labadee, Jamaica and mexico. We did not do any ship excursions. In Labadee we just went to Nellie's beach and hung out. there is a lot of shaded areas so you don't need to worry about to much sun. In Jamaica we did a day pass at runaway bay resort. transportation, all the food and drinks you want. Pool and beach included. It is adults only and was so relaxing. The staff there were very nice and helpful. In Cozumel we did a day pass at playa mia beach. we got the package with all inclusive food, drinks and transportation. There were a pool, water park, beach, and inflatable water park. you could also use the non moterized water sports. Read Less

Our family of 9 (52yrs-10yrs) enjoys a Christmas cruise every year instead of gifts. We chose Allure because of its amenities, and I'm afraid Allure's size was detrimental to our Ft. Lauderdale airport (FLL) is minutes away from the port ($15 taxi/3 people). Embarkation was very quick and efficient. We were not greeted by our cabin steward until late the first night. He offered no help in locating a outlet or obtaining distilled water for DH's CPAP, services other cruise stewards have done previously without request. Overall, I got the sense our steward was overwhelmed, tired, and cranky. He appeared to REALLY want out of his contract with RC. Throughout the week, when we would see him, it was us who greeted him, not the other way around. Allure is amazing. Always something to do for everyone. Surfing, dodge ball, table tennis, hot tubs, jogging track, spa massages, arcade, ice cream machines, zip line, German hot dogs on the boardwalk, etc. If we ever felt the need to "get away" from it all, the adult area was relaxing. We appreciated the cheerful attitude of the bartenders, towel station assistants, DJ's, and wait staff. The dining staff did a great job. We prefer breakfast in the dining room, in order to avoid the other 6000 people fighting for bacon in the Windjammer! In fact the only time we spent in the Windjammer was immediately after embarking on the ship (you can't get into your stateroom until 2pm, and it was raining), and immediately prior to disembarking off the ship, and both times were CHAOS! No available tables, luggage everywhere, etc.. Lunch was usually casual at any of the many eateries, and dining room diner was the highlight of the day. The food was good overall, but lacked consistency. My strip steak was either blood rare, or leather-tough, never a perfect medium. We did not use any of the specialty restaurants. RC has top of the line entertainment. The shows are all amazing, but make sure to book reservations online PRIOR to cruising, because if you wait, there will not be any available seats. My son and his wife learned this the hard way. My DH and I enjoy the couple massage at the spa, but be prepared to be swarmed with up selling of unnecessary products. This is the first ship I've ever been on that did NOT have showers in the gym/spa restroom area! Who doesn't want to rinse off after a work out? The staff told me the only showers available were for clients who purchased a spa package! Labadee Haiti was amazing. Classic beach day. Clean sand, soft chairs, and mild waves. RC provides lunch under a pavilion. In Falmouth Jamaica, we chose to participate in the Dolphin Cove encounter excursion. It was a really fun experience, but my other adult daughters did the same thing in Cozumel, and based on their pictures, I think the Cozumel facilities were cleaner and more modern than in Jamaica. In Cozumel, we enjoyed the Mayan Ruin, island tour, beach break excursion. This turned out to be one of highlights of our trip. Excellent guide, amazing scenery, educational facts, and air conditioned tour bus! Everyone in our group had a great time. The younger kids enjoyed the Adventure Club activities, my teenagers made new friends, and my adult children enjoyed the casino, shows, and bars. Overall, worth it. Cruise Allure again? Probably not. This is our first RCCL cruise since Mariner of the seas when RCCL still doing Mexican Riviera. Since then we have been doing Princess, NCL, and Carnival. Our last cruise on Mariner left a bit of bad taste as I found ship is nice but staff is kinda rude. We chose this cruise as family want to experience biggest ship. I do it for the new VOOM satellite internet which was good enough for me to get work done. Was able to Remote Desktop with acceptable speed. Embarkation is good. The public areas were many. We only use Windjammer for 2 times. The rest we use Park Cafe or other venues to avoid line. Entertainment were good. Food is ok. I would rate it same as other lines. Pizza has improved since last time we went on RCCL. 24 hours Cafe Promenade food option not as good as Princess or NCL. I recommend book room near deck 5 Promenade if you want to be close to everything. Staff is nicer this time around. There are no free sauna or steam room. Paid for week pass to use Vitality Spa which I enjoyed. Pools are ok. There no water slide for kids. Did not try rock climbing, Zip line, or Wave rider since there are other activities. Overall cruise is good. Will go again if price is right. Read Less

This was our fourth cruise on Royal Caribbean We chose this ship for the ship itself not really the itinerary (Labadee, Jamaica & Cozumel). Allure is a huge ship and beautiful. We loved the promenade, the boardwalk and the Central Park. The Pixar parades were great. Our balcony cabin was very comfortable. My wife and I sat at the balcony to watch port arrivals and departures, as well as sunsets. Now let's talk about the food: We took breakfast at the buffet, the Park Caffè (included in your fare) and Johnny Rockets (included in your fare). In the buffet, you have the usual assortment of American breakfast (eggs, waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage, fruits ceral, etc.). Breakfast at the Park Caffè is more a light fare (bagels, muffins, paninis, cereal, yogurt) but we loved to have breakfast there because of the sound of birds singing and the nice ambiance. Johnny Rockets breakfast is a la carte and you can have pancakes, eggs (your style), waffles and cereal. They have great orange juice. Service is very good and friendly. We had lunch at the buffet. I find that the quality of the food there during lunch has diminished, compared to previous cruises we made on Royal Caribbean (Sovereign of the Seas, Majesty of the Seas and Mariner of the Seas). However dinner on the main dining room was top notch as always; you may have prime rib, surf and turf, veal ossobucco, escargots, lobster bisque, etc. We had a table for 4 as we sailed with our daughter and son in law (they had and ocean view cabin which was nice too). Our waitress was amazing (she was from Ukraine). Having an afternoon bite at the Promenade Caffè or the pizzeria is great too. Now let me review the Ports of call: - Labadee is a private Royal Caribbean beach in Haiti. It has much improved since our first cruise on Sovereign of the Seas in 1989. It is a place to have fun and relax at the beach. At lunch they serve a nice barbecue with ribs, burgers, etc. - Falmouth, Jamaica: This palce is not worth anything. We found it horrible as well as nearby Montego Bay. - Cozumel: this island is beautiful and it is great or a day of sun, relax, non motorised water sports at Maia Beach. I recommend you buy your tickets for the beach at the Maia beach port kiosk and take a taxi to go there. At Maia beach try the mixed Mexican plate and drink a nice margarita or a cold Tecate beer. In overall the cruise was excellent, the rooms are super nice and confortable, the ship itself its incredible, so many places to go and so much to see, there is something for everyone, Its spectacular, the Mama Mia musical was excellent. The service mostly in all the areas is very good, the employees very willing to help in any way they can. However, the main reason to take the cruise with my family was the Celebration of our 30TH Wedding Anniversary an my Birthday, however, we did not get anything from Royal Caribbean not even a card, a flower or a bottle of wine. These are things that are not expensive for a company as big as you are, you should be aware of those details, specially if the main reason for taken the cruise was because of our Anniversary. We were very disappointed, very, very. Also for my birthday, nothing at all from you. We had got to little hotels for our Anniversaries and they had always taken the time to do something special, during our Anniversaries or birthdays. The main room food is not good, the menu is the same every night with very little changes, nothing to WOW you during that dining experience. The Margaritaville Catamaran Tour was a rip off, extremely disappointed. WE LOVE THE SHIP, we will do it again, hopefully, soon. Read Less

I have been meaning to post a review for a long time now. I usually try to make a very complete, thorough review but unfortunately, I simply don't have time to do that now. But, I did want to post about the very positive experience we had sailing with our baby. Prior to our trip, I did quite a bit of research/reading about cruising with a baby and to be honest, I didn't find many positive opinions or people that had had positive experiences. We had already booked and we weren't prepared to cancel so we went hoping for the best. It was fantastic! Our daughter loved climbing back and forth between the room and the balcony. We got a cabin overlooking the boardwalk so that, when it was bedtime for her, she could be in the dark quiet cabin and we could sit on the balcony people watching. It was definitely nice having that divide which allowed us to still enjoy ourselves after she went to bed. We made use of the Royal Babies and Tots nursery one evening for a couple hours while we went to watch Mamma Mia and on a couple afternoons, so that we could enjoy some relaxing, adult time poolside. We were very pleased with the care provided and the space/toys that were available to the babies. They had cribs for naps, various toys, changed diapers and fed the babies according to the instructions left with them. Prior to each visit, they would do a 1 on 1 consultation with the parents to get information about the baby and their needs. There was a charge but it was very reasonable (I want to say $6 per hour during the day and $8 per hour during the evening but don't quote me on that). We ate in the main dining room every night and as soon as we arrived, they brought over a cup of sliced fruit for her which she thoroughly enjoyed and helped to keep her occupied until our meals arrived. Cruise ships do not allow non potty trained babies to use the swimming pools. In my opinion, it's important to find a ship that has a baby/toddler splash park/zone. The Allure has a large area of very shallow toddler pools which our daughter really enjoyed. We also bought a little fold up actitivity jumper for her to sit/stand in while we were sitting on the deckchairs poolside. This worked really well for her at this age but probably wouldn't be effective now that she's 14 months and walking everywhere as she doesn't like being contained. The staff was fantastic with our daughter and every employee that we came across took the time to say hello and play with her a little bit. Labadee was a fantastic port for us as the beach was beautiful and calm and we were really close to the ship so we could simply walk back when we were done. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and for us, cruising with a baby was a great experience. Read Less

We chose this cruise as we did the oasis last year, i was very disappointed with the allure. The food selection was average at best in the dinning room. Had breakfast twice and my oatmeal was cold, i had to ask for things twice and they never even refilled our coffee. Then we did the windjammer on the 2 ports of call that came in at 7pm (jamaica and cozumel) they only had half the windjammer opened and it was crazy people everywhere and no where to sit. Not enough food, people were waiting in lines for over 15mins for the staff to refill the food, we had to find someone and advised them of the situation. Never have i seen this before, mind you i am not a picky person, but this was unexceptionable for a large ship not to be able to handle this basic function. A lot of the house phones did not work or you could not hear out of them. We ate at giovanni's and i was not impressed with the menu. We did it on the oasis last year and it was much better. Expected a better selection and better food. Our cabin was great, room stewart was on point. We miss getting off ocho rios much more to do and easier to get a round, do not like famouth, to us it is more of a port just for shopping. We did the slot tournament which was fun, it gave out a free cruise for first but nothing for 2nd or 3rd, at least a shirt. I asked the casino host as some people re bought well over 3 times, he shrugged his shoulder and didn't seem to care. It is a beautiful ship and the aqua and ice show were awesome. This was perhaps one of our greatest ships to experience. It was truly a floating city. No disappointments there. We chose this cruise as a getaway just to experience the Allure. It exceeded our expectations. The entertainment was topnotch and having reservations made it more convenient. We were able to plan our day and evening prior to boarding. Considering 6000 passengers and 2300 crew on board, they definitely know how to move people. One suggestion, familiarize yourself with all they have to offer. There are complimentary goodies all around the ship. The negatives: No chapel. When you have a Central Park,Boardwalk, Zip Line, Rock Climbing, skating rink, why no chapel? Our problem was with RC Corporate. We originally booked this cruise for October. We were entitled to a $300 on-board credit. Our son died the evening before we were to fly out so we rescheduled. RC refused to honor the $300, after many e-mails and the death certificate, they allowed $100. We are Diamond members, one cruise away from Diamond Plus. We were LOYAL. They were not. Hello NCL. I highly recommend Royal Caribbean to anyone that want to experience an amazing vacation. The ship was extremely clean and the staff was excellent. There was always something to do on or off the ship. The dining was awesome. Somehow they had separated my husband and I from our children for dinner but they accommodated us each night. We fell in love with the staff who made us feel like family. This was my children first time cruising and they loved it. There were activities for all ages. We stayed in an ocean front balcony room which was lovely and spacious compared to the inside cabin that i stayed in before. I would not cruise with any other cruise line. Royal Caribbean is the best by far. The cruise director was nice and friendly and did an amazing job with planning events. My family and I had a great time and cannot wait to go again. Read Less

My wife and would probably choose a different ship and Eastern Caribbean instead to Western. Overall they did a good job with all the people they had to handle. Shows were great and so were the specialty restaurants. Much more personal settings and very enjoyable. Staff certainly made sure the ship was clean. Nice job there. Drink package is certainly worth it if you want to drink. Not shortage of bars or places to stop. Central Park very nice and relaxing. Seemed like we had to get dressed up to many times. In this day and age I enjoy a nice suit once in a while but felt as if I needed to race around getting ready all the time. Maybe there are more relaxing cruises to take. The Allure for a ship is certainly made for the cruise lover who wants a little bit of everything to participate in. Staff was friendly. l Read Less

The overall trip was very good. We chose "my time dining" and the dining room on deck three was VERY crowded all of the time. We waited over 40 minutes for the appetizer and another 20 minutes for the entrée only for it to be cold. The Coastal Kitchen was EXCELLENT (suite guests and Pinnacle Club only) and it made the entire trip noteworthy. The "Chops Grill" was above excellent. Claudio made it one of the best meals of my entire life of 62 years! Great food and great service. Overall if you do not mind being one of 6000 people this is the ship for you. Lots to see and do with excellent shows and a variety of activities. For me - just too crowded. The shows were excellent! "Mama Mia" and "Blue Ocean" were both very well done. The Ice shows were very good but a little loud for me. "Ocean Aria" was a thrilling adventure and to see the high dives into the pools were above expectations. Friendly people, clean ship, and overall lots to do - just too many people for me. Read Less

Royal Caribbean International is an exceptional cruise line, Allure of the sea is phenomenal, I will recommend this cruise line and this ship to everyone who is thinking of taking a cruise, from the day you embark to the day you disembark the experience of out off this world. The cleanliness of the ship is remarkable, Royal Caribbean takes pride in making sure every area of the ship is stunning. With recent outbreaks of gastroenteritis on other ships Royal Caribbean International went out of their way to make sure this didn't happen, there are hand sanitization stations every where on the ship especially in the dining rooms where you have stations and a physical person to make sure it's done prior to entering the dining room. Well done RCI. The dining room staff are quite knowledgeable, the food was just great, everything was quite tasty. Entertainment and activities are astounding, there is something fo everyone. The ports are qiute picturesque and shore excursions are a must, I will recommend walking up Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. Overall, cruising with Royal Caribbean International is something I will never forget and looking forward to doing it again next year. Read Less

Just got back from 9/27/16 Western Carib sailing on Allure of the Seas. Myself, wife and 2 daughters in a 2BR Aqua Suite. This was without a doubt the best cruise we've ever had. The Star Class experience is the best idea RCL has had in years. Marla Rivera (our royal genie) was fantastic. She arranged all our specialty restaurant, show and excursion details personally and provided us with a daily schedule. The suite went above and beyond our desires. Marla had been in touch with us a couple weeks prior to leaving via email. She asked all the right questions because once we were aboard, she knew what our wants for this cruise were. Basically, we have been married for 26 years (even had a vow renewal on the Oasis last year handled entirely by Carol-Lyn....another jewel in RCL's crown. It was a surprise for my wife and Carol went above and beyond)...ok, back to this cruise....My wife and I have adult children from previous marriages. They have never really gotten the opportunity to get to know each other. We wanted to go on this exceptional cruise to try and help our daughters get to know each other. They are both in their 40's. We never had to remind Marla of anything we discussed via emails. We had wonderful surprise birthdays and our anniversary celebration. I could just go on and on about how we were cared for by so many of your wonderful crew.... As wonderful as almost everything was with the room, the one problem we had was that the volume of movies, water fountain shows and anything else that went over 11 or midnight. We would be in the living room and had to blast our tv to try to drown out the volume outside. BUT...I'm just trying to be thorough....the good with the bad. Compared to our outstanding experience, the volume was a miniscule problem. This was definately a cruise of a lifetime.... I'll stop raving about her and give some details regarding the cruise and ship. Embarkation - Arrived at pier around 11:00. Met at suite entrance by Marla and escorted through processing. Waited in suite area for approx 30 minutes. On board by noon. Lunched in Coastal Kitchen and were in room by 1:15. Aqua Suite (8730)- HUGE. 2 brs, 2 bathrooms, living room, separate dining area and an 800sf wrap-around balcony with a view of the Aqua Theater. Plenty of storage. Star Class provided free in room mini bar, movies, robes and up-graded shower basics. If you ever have the chance to book this room DO IT. In my opinion it was money well spent. Dining - All inclusive specialty restaurants and beverages (Star Class). Chops, Sabor, Giovannis and 150 were all included and exceptional. Best of the bunch for us was Giovannis. Samba Grill was disappointing to say the least. Felt rushed the entire meal. We ate twice in the MDR and both times were a bad experience. Entertainment - Mamma Mia and the Ice Show were very good with front row seats Marla met us there to be sure we were settled in properly for both shows. Oceanaria from our balcony was exceptional and our personal favorite. Didn't do the comedy or headliner shows. Regret not having the time to squeeze those in. Service - I don't mean to belabor the point but, if you get a chance to do Star Class, take it. I now know how it feels to be a rock star. Flash your little black card and nothing was to much to ask. Tours of the kitchen and bridge, done. Any drink you want, done. Any meal you want, anywhere, done. Special treatment doesn't begin to describe it. If you're lucky you might have Marla as your genie, although I call her Wonder Woman. It's going to be very difficult to go back to a regular cabin and cruise experience. I think you got the hint that we were truly impressed by Marla, but I would also like to mention a few more that went above and beyond in every way: Sami in Giovanni's, Jerry in Izumi, Evo in Chops, Sugi our room steward, Lorenzo the Executive Chef we met on our tour of the kitchen, Memis in Coastal Kitchen and Shalom in 150 Central Park. Ports and Shore Excursions - Just did some shopping in Cozumel, Margaritaville in Falmouth and we booked an over the water cabana on and did the zip line excursion in Labadee. Won't do the cabana experience again, just very poor service. I hope I didn't come across as a cruise snob in this review. This was a once in a lifetime thing for us and nowhere near how we usually cruise. I only hope all of you get an opportunity to do this for yourselves and your family. Read Less

I chose this cruise, because I heard it was a beautiful ship, it had a lot to do, and I planned it for my daughter and her friend's senior trip. Very organized, checking in went smooth, everything was clean and tidy, the entertainment and activities were good and plentiful. The service was great, Loved the servers, Loved the tour guides. We felt like we were too rushed in Jamaica and too long in Haiti. Prices in Cozumel were fair, Prices in Jamaica were a little high, Prices in Haiti were too high. Snorkeling tour with MAX was outstanding and tour of Jamaica with Tour Guide with Jenifa was OUTSTANDING. I LOVED THE SHIP, buTtttttt....................I don't like the fact that there is a $39 charge for bingo and $8 charge for ice skates. Families pay a lot of money for these cruises and I think it is unfair to charge extra for ANYTHING involving activities on the ship. Read Less

We Wanted to experience the large ship and all those activities, and it gave us what we expected. Very nice and friendly crews, very hardworking people ..amazed about how they manage to spread out those more than 6,000 and not looking crowded. Also going down the ship does not a have long line, not like before. Very nice and memorable experience. I also like the thing they did about photos,,they don't print all the pictures anymore..they just print the ones that people want..they saved a lot of papers and saved the trees. Crews that are being yelled at just keep their composures and able to solve it in a nice manner. Food was great,,good food ,,and some servers even offered us our fave dishes,,they made sure they give us more than we need,, we end up too full every after meal. We hope the crews we're given their dues because of all the hardwork they're doing,,because we notice some of them really looked so tired and exhausted. Overall rating,,,very nice cruise experience we had ,, thank God for that and thank you guys ! God bless ! Read Less

A gift from our children for our 50th anniversary. Had wanted to for so long. Wish we had gone years sooner. Being our first time and getting up in years the whole experience was a learning one. It was as if everyone had done this before and knew where they were going and where to go for each thing. Thankfully we got a terrific helper to push my wheelchair and got us right where we needed to go. Everyone was so happy to guide us and explan things. Our dining room service was great. We were in the Your Time dining. The last four nights we ask for the same table at the same time and our waiters were the best. We did not get off the ship at first port and explored the ship. But, shopped in the two others. The shows were great. The technology with all was really first rate and amazing. Read Less

This was a family and friends trip. We have traveled on some of the older ships. The reason for traveling on this ship was to compare it to the others. The rooms on the older ships seemed bigger. Even tho we had a balcony in Centeral Park it still seemed to be cramped. It took some getting use to opening the door to the hall instead of inside the room. The shopping on the ship for sales was horrible. You stood in line and hour before the store was to open just to get inside, people were pushing and shoving and being rude and taking things out of your hands if you didn't have a grip on it. There was plenty of things to do on the ship. The food was good. The only thing I didn't like was being seated in the back out of the way in the main dinning room. I don't know if it was because we were Black, hence that was all that was seated back there. The Head Waiter and team did a wonderful severing us. They were very prompt in severing our meals and getting anything that we needed. My hats of to Jean Jose and ones working with him. That was my main enjoyment of the trip the way they treated us. Several friends recommended Allure of the Seas and we wanted a short get away and since we live on South Florida, this was a great short vacation. The ship was beautiful and you have plenty of to do the entire cruise, never a dull moment. The staff was very friendly and courteous to us, making sure we had a great experience. I think that overall the dining, entertainment and activities available in this ship were very good and I am sure it met most people expectation. There was something for all aged group and the staff make sure that at the end you had Fun. The staff make sure to keep all areas clean and encouraged hand sanitizing to prevent people from getting sick. In a ship with over 4000 passenger that was a tremendous task to accomplish but it payoff no one got sick. I will definitely recommend this cruise line to my friends. I think they have great new ships, great interesting destination ports and above all good customer service. Read Less

Allure of the Seas is a great ship. Never felt like we were sailing with 5,000 passengers on the ship. Labadee was a great stop. The zip line over the water was fantastic. A lot of great shows and activities onboard. Mama Mia! was a great show. Enjoyed the headliner show with Greg London and Ocean Aria in the Aqua Theater. My granddaughter had a great time at Dream Works Dining Experience with the characters and her Adventure Ocean Aquanauts experience as well as the Ice Games Ice show. My grandson enjoyed the boardwalk flying horses and the splash pad on the upper deck. My wife and I liked the miniature golf , the adult comedy show with Troy Thirdgill, the strolls through the Park. We also enjoyed some guiet time at the Solarium pool and bistro. The Schooner Bar and the Trellis Bars were great places to relax and get a drink without the crowds. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the ship. I wanted to show my son-in-laws scientific mind what a fantastic ship this was engineering wise. We also love the entertainment. The running track is also the best. We would love to see Mama Mia every cruise. It was a good choice. Central Park was the best. We loved listening to the entertainment at nite with the soft wind blowing through. I told my son-in-law that he would start laughing as soon as he got on the ship and laugh all the way through. Is it a cruise or is it a resort vacation? To me it is both. That is why it is my favorite class ship in the whole fleet. To at least have something negative to say, I will state that I wish RCI would not push the suite people at the expense of the Diamond and Diamond plus people. There used to be more benefits for these people. You know the people who are very loyal customers! However Diamond plus benefits were great with the system where you can get 3 drinks free pp. anywhere on the ship 5-8:30. Plus you added Baileys! Priority check-in worked great for us. We thought the food in the dining room was better than expected (after reading some of the cruise critic unfavorable reviews). Our waiter Horace was excellent with his recommendations. The Windjammer was good if you did not go during prime time. We especially liked that they came around with cookies, cupcakes and sticky buns right to your table. The kids loved the zip lining, rock climbing and flowrider. Crew were very helpful with instructions. Ocean Aria, Mama Mia, Comedy club, Blue Planet were all excellent. Read Less
