Superior Outside View Stateroom with Balcony (D7) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: January 2018
Our cabin was the perfect size. We had an ocean view with a balcony and I loved being able to listen to the water at night. It was so peaceful. The walls are thick so we did not have any problems with noise. Read More

However, if possible, I'd recommend a cabin at the other end of the ship, because that's where the dining rooms, Windjammer, and Guest Services are. Read Less

Although Cabin small, it is well designed so we managed just fine with all our stuff. Bed is by Closet and sofa by balcony door. Read More

I don't know the category but our cabin had a balcony. We were at the very end of the hall and would probably choose one more mid ship, next time. It had far more little cubbyholes than any other cabin we've had so storage was good. Read More

We enjoyed our balcony ocean view cabin more than any of our past cabin choices (including ocean view, interior balcony and interior only). It was wonderful to lay in bed and experience the scenery as we pulled into each port. In the past, we had to leave our room to get photos and videos of sunrise and sunset. This time, we did it all from our balcony. It was a great way to enjoy some quiet time and an amazing view. Read Less

Our stateroom was on deck 8 which is the same deck as Central Park. It was located on the Starboard side (right side) of the ship just ahead of the forward elevators. It was convenient since Central Park is a good way to get from the front to the back of the ship. It was also convenient because the main theaters, spa and fitness center are located forward and just a few decks down. If you like to watch the docking/undocking procedures, the Starboard side is where you want to be. The main dining rooms on decks 3, 4 and 5 are located towards the back of the ship but again, Central Park is a good way to avoid the crowds on deck 5's Royal Promenade. We were fortunate in that we were able to purchase two adjoining staterooms with balconies - one for me and my wife and one for our two kids. I realize that not everyone can do this. The rooms we had (D7 Superior Outside View with Balcony) were fine for two people but would be a bit tight for a family of four unless the kids were very small. The steward for our rooms kept everything neat and tidy. The steward promptly removed the divider between the two balconies. It didn't create one large space as there is still a partial divider between the two but it was still very convenient. Our rooms were also had an adjoining interior door that the steward unlocked. Unfortunately, once unlocked the door can only be locked again with a key by the steward which is inconvenient and doesn't allow for any real privacy. We found the beds to be a bit firm but very comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size with a stand-up shower that, while not large, wasn't too small either. Read Less
