Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Allure of the Seas

This review starts at the port. RCCL has a new terminal that is beautiful but has to be run by blind people. It apparently opened in November and it was the worst experience we have ever witnessed in a port. There apparently is no communication between security, the private parking vendors, and RCCL. I found the disorganization to be rampant. We pulled in to be dropped off and were told to go to ...

ALLURE OF THE SEAS 9-3-22 TO 9-11-22 (8-NIGHT SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN) DH and I are in our mid 50s. We live in Pennsylvania. This was our first cruise on Oasis class and also our first cruise as Diamond Plus members. Royal Caribbean is the only line we have sailed on. We have been to Labadee before, but Aruba and Curacao were new to us. Pre cruise, we had booked a refreshment drink package ...

Let me start off by saying this was not my first time on the Allure of the Seas. I was on this ship about 5 years ago, and was in awe of the architecture and entertainment on board. This time around I also was amazed by the sheer artistry of this ship. I'm going to break up this review in parts so it is easier to read. FOOD: The food was even better than I remember it being the first time I ...

I choose this ship because of the activities and ports it docked at. This is the first time I didn’t have to wear a seasick patch during a cruise. Ship is very steady I barely felt it when we were docking. Mama Mia is Broadway quality. The diving show reminded me of Circus Soleil. Ice show was missing some performers so they could not perform the show but they were able to give us a showcase ...

I had a cruise scheduled for November and decided I couldn't wait until then to cruise and booked this one since it would fall on my birthday. It was originally supposed to stop at Labadee and Jamaica, but instead it was changed to Costa Maya, Cozumel and Coco Cay. After a long time of not cruising, it didn't matter. I just wanted to be on a ship on the ocean. I travel solo and decided to ...

We were excited to go on a trip since we have been locked up since 2019 like most people. We were also pretty worried/ concerned with the surge in cases prior to our trip. here is a review on what to expect while you cruise during this pandemic. (the highlights and changes from your normal cruise) 1. Pre Cruise: Royal Caribbean was very active in sending reminders and updates with health ...

Chose this cruise as with children we love the variety of things to do and the excursions in the Caribbean are far more child-friendly than European ones making it worth the extra flight time. From start to finish STAR class gave us the Wow factor. From arrival at the cruise terminal being ushered through our own dedicated security line, meeting our genie and being on the Ship, in our suite ...

We had been on this ship before. Although the ship carries 6000 plus passengers, It is not really a problem except for the elevators on the first day, and the pools on sea days. Our check in was done online previously, so we just walked onto the ship. We had the owners's suite which was spacious and had a whirlpool tub. But, there was a few surprises. I like the Coastal Kitchen for dinner, ...

Ports of Call: Coco Cay Nassau Cozumel Puerto Costa Maya This was first time doing a holiday cruise with Royal and my 2nd time on the Allure. The mood of the staff seemed a lot less friendly than my previous experience on Allure. It felt like the entire crew was just told no one was getting a Christmas bonus. Normally after you go to the bar a few times, they know your name, I ...

We'd been on a Royal Caribbean cruise before and had a great time, but this trip we walked away with a few disappointments. If you want to lounge in the pool on sea days, then maybe the Allure isn't for you. Because of the open Central Park in the center of the ship, all the pools on board are quite small. During sea days when everyone is on board, the pools feel more like sardine cans with ...
