44 YR OLD BOAT
Quickly found out nothing to do on ship no internet .Told they were insaling starlink total lie , People getting sick with COVID . Several with diarrhea coughs for days rumors of bad water systems since pipes are old rusted , Ventelation sysetems in our room was so full of dust possibly mold as others were sharing the same stories , Glacers were a joke not much marine life as ...
The Baranof Dream is anything but a dream. This ship is 38 years old and its maximum speed is 10 mph. The engines are loud and shake the ship. There are no amenities. There is no cell or internet wifi except in the large ports. There is nothing to do for endless boring days while big cruise ships pass us by going in the same direction. They do not provide any board games or any other activities ...
Our cruise actually departed from Sitka. If you are seeking activity and/or adventure, do not book the Last Frontier Adventure with Alaskan Dream Cruises. I am writing this review on behalf of my group of 6, but there were others on our 44 passenger cruise that felt the same way. For starters, the company describes this cruise as designed for "guests seeking a higher level of activity". We were ...
We booked a small ship cruise to the Alaska inner passage thinking this would be a more intimate experience. We expected to pay more than the big cruise ship but we thought it would be worth it. After careful consideration we booked with Alaskan Dream Cruises. We have done about 5 small ship cruises so we had some expectations. Their website and discussion with the reservation desk made it ...
2,145.49 7-day 2021 Alaska's Glacier Bay & Island Adventure cruise (Juneau to Sitka) with Alaskan Dream Cruises on the 104’ Alaskan Dream catamaran. We frequently cruise. This was not one of our favorites.
The shoreside support pre-cruise was very lacking. Information provided to me in March regarding the duration we would spend at Mendenhall Giacier was inaccurate. I had been emailed that it ...
I have held off submitting this review to get a bit of perspective and to wait for the cruise line’s response to the unacceptable conditions under which we cruised on the Admiralty Dream ship in June. Alaskan Dream advertises a small ship experience with lots of wildlife, excellent food, native and Forest Service speakers and zodiac excursions.
Unfortunately, the five night sailing we took ...
Alumni cruise for Navy/Notre Dame/U Mich/U Minn....small ship with four USNA classmates sounded great. Whales/bears/eagles/glaciers were great but food was awful though advertised at '5 star'. 11 people embarked following Denali precruise that were ill and we were never informed; at least 17 got sick before anyone advised to take precautions; three dinners were edible but others were bad; ...
We arrived on the ship and were greeted with several smiling faces. The staff were absolutely wonderful people from all over the world. From the second we arrived, they were always there happy to help and chat with us. It felt more like we were being invited into their home rather than on a cruise ship. We were gathered in the lounge which felt more like a living room than a luxury cruise lounge ...
We chose this ship for a more intimate look at Alaska than a massive cruise ship would have provided as well as the cultural angle. Big mistake. The cultural angle was sometimes informative but it came with some of the worst ports of call, Kasan, Metlakatla and Thorne Bay. So called "native' villages were quite boring and depressing. One would have been enough. We also stopped in Skagway (as did ...
