Comparing this cruise on Adventure of the seas to other cruises taken Positives Great quality food; Friendly, happy, helpful staff; Very clean; Best shows we have seen; Cabin was comfortable. Not so positive Windjammer cafe too crowded and no Al la Carte dining lunch times on port days; ship a bit tired; Balcony not as nice as other ships; Charge for shuttle transfers; Only noisy small cafe ...

First time cruise, my wife and I decided to do it this year so booked Adventure Of The Seas for the 14 nights going to Spain, Madeira, Canary islands and Portugal, first impressions of the ship were good, staff were polite and the food was tasty and plenty off it, pool deck was nice, hot tubs were hot, gym was great, even the drink prices were reasonable no more than you would expect to pay in a ...

Disappointing

My wife and I have only ever cruised with Royal Caribbean over the years and have diamond status, so I guess we can be classed as loyal customers. We have been on the AOS before and had a great time but this one was different. First of all boarding was delayed due to the norovirus being on board. Automatically most people would be concerned and we were no different. However, we understand that ...

My husband and I sailed on the Adventure from 9/28/2014 until 10-12-2014. I love the longer cruises because you can really relax. The weather was perfect for the whole trip. The cruise director, Bobbi was fun, professional and visible. Between announcements from the captain and the cruise director we were continually updated on happenings around the ship and about the ports. Our room steward, ...

Just back from 14 nights Adventure of the Seas to the Canaries. After cutting quite a few goodies we are beginning to wonder what RCCI will think of next .Half way through our evening meal my daughter was approached by a waiter who was trying to sell her a Royal Caribbean cook book How would the Big Cheese of RCCI react to something like that? Whilst we were having a quiet drink in the Schooner bar ...

Many things to write for this cruise. SHIP: Adventure of the Seas - Voyager class, but getting old now. It is due for refurb in April 2014. Staff and help were excellent for us during this cruise. Captain walked around the ship a lot, talking to passengers. STATEROOM: We upgraded from a balcony to a Junior Suite at the last minute, which was nice, but it was only slightly larger. Definitely had ...

This review is my umpteenth cruise on Royal Caribbean and for all its faults I keep coming back. The review covers a 14 day cruise down to the Canary Islands round trip from Southampton. Embarkation was very simple from City Terminal and arriving after I.00pm I was able to board within about ten minutes. New for this year is that you are allowed to take on board two bottles of wine per ...

This was our second cruise (the first was on 2010). We started to look for a cruise when we were told of our kids November vacation's schedule. Their week off coincided with their birthday and with the cruising low season in Europe. The fact that RCI had a cruise leaving from Malaga on a interesting itinerary to Canary Islands at a really good price, convinced us to go. The ship was the Adventure ...

Desperate need for Refurbishment

From the moment we entered our cabin we noticed the carpet was filthy and ill fitting(we had it cleaned after complaining which did seem to remove the vile odours that were evident before). The door to the cabin had a gap of at least one inch wide from floor to around the height of the handle, thus light was streaming in all night and noise was more noticeable, also we had to make sure we lent on ...

Fascinating ports in a not so spectacular ship

We joined this Canary Island cruise because of the interesting ports. We booked through a local travel agency and also booked a pre-cruise hotel night in Malaga. PRE CRUISE HOTEL RCCL got us a room at the Hotel AC Malaga Palacio. We took a taxi from the Malaga airport to the hotel for 20 euros. We were greeted at the reception by a helpful young man who spoke good English and we were informed ...
