We have sailed with RCI for over 12 years and are Diamond members. Having sailed on various other RCI ships we are used to the way RCI operate and the experience we were getting. A lot of the experience comes down to the type of ship you are on and when/where you are sailing. Positives: * Quick embarkation in Southampton * Clean, presentable stateroom * Happy & welcoming staff - particularly ...

A fabulous cruise on a fabulous ship

We have just returned from a two week cruise to the Med on Adventure of the Seas. The ship accomodates 3800 guests when full (which it was) and 1200 staff. Obviously with that number of guests, there were a lot of under 18s, which makes this ship better for families than retired folk, but it is still good for both. The food and service was superb throughout the ship, and the facilities matched. ...

Day 1 Really smoothly, parked car in carpark and van came along and took our luggage to the ship. We took our hand luggage and suit carriers on board. This was not a problem, other than the fact we decided to tour the entire ship and had to carry it around with us, so the least amount of hand luggage you can take the better. We got into our cabin by 2pm and I was unpacked and back on deck by the ...

We were very concerned prior to this trip about the bad reviews this Ship had been given since it left the USA, and we had a certain trepidation on what we were going to face. However this was totally unfounded, with the Ship overdue its revitalization we were amazed at how clean it was, with only certain areas showing wear and tear. Embarkation was first class at Southampton, and we were on ...

Royal Caribbean didn't make me feel special...

I really enjoy cruises as one of three main types of holiday that my partner and I take. To us, a cruise is a great way to 'sample' countries and destinations and to be made to feel special. One of our ports was labelled as Seville. Cadiz is NOT Seville (which is about 50km inland). As the itinerary listed Livorno and Civitavecchia - why claim Seville when you are docking at Cadiz? We ...

3rd time not a charm

This was my family's 3rd trip on this ship, so we had certain ideas of what it would be like. First of all the ship is definitely showing her age. Second leaving from Malaga with 85 percent Spanish rude, pushy, not friendly and refuse to follow rules fellow passengers made this trip rather taxing at times. Sea days you could not go to the pool because it was full of rude people. They seemed ...

I am not someone who normally gives reviews, but having read a number of quite negative reviews about this cruise ship, and having just returned from a weeks long cruise out of Malaga, I wanted to put my own views forward. This was our 4th Cruise with RCI and 3rd time on 'Voyager' class. We were in a party of 9 with 3 of the ages, 13,15,17. From arriving at port until we boarded the ship ...

This was our first cruise and we were excited and apprehensive. Travelling as a family with two daughters aged 16 and 18. We booked late, only 5 weeks before departure, and had the 'guarantee' rooms. Were a bit worried that two rooms would be on different decks etc, but Travel agent 'linked' bookings and we were side by side. Had two rooms right at the front of the ship on Deck 7, ...

Adventure of the Seas, my annual cruise

This is one of the best solo cruises I have been on. Previously I tried the IOS and the Naviagation OTS. But this cruise was exceptional. The company was suberb as was the care and attention of all the staff onboard the ship. Although the ship is older than what I've been on before, it was very clean, the food was great as was the entertainment. The excursions were also enjoyable and well ...

Just returned from our cruise with friends. From the Promenade deck which was fantastic with its array of shops and bars to Chinese parade and musical entertainment. The Casino was enormous, a pity that fees for poker tables were so high that nobody would play. Slots too were left unplayed. Smoking was allowed in here too which was sickening for non smokers. Maybe this also had an inpact of very ...
