Nice cruise from Galveston during Covid

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We recently moved from the east coast to Houston. Galveston is so convenient from Houston so we booked an inside promenade view for under $500 (for 2)for 4 days beginning January 3rd, 2022 - our first in over 2 years. It was great to cruise once again and, it had it's great and not-so-great - like all vacations: The great: price, service, and value inside cabin overlooking the ...

Let me start by saying this was our annual family trip. we all got vouchers for free cruise, yet only one of us was actually able to use it due to "sold out of free rooms". We decided to go anyway. The ship is older, but for the most part in good shape. The ship was about 1/2 full which is good because I cannot imagine going on this ship full. The casino is so packed with machines that it is ...

Some complaints

Let me start off by saying that this was my first cruise experience. Being that they sailed at less than 50% capacity was a blessing. I cannot imagine being crammed on a ship at full. I will start off with saying that they should have been upfront about Covid testing from the moment we booked. Having to buy our own Covid tests was kind of annoying. Mine BARLEY made it to me in time at no fault of ...

Underwhelmed

First I want to say we are grateful to be in the US were we still have some freedom. And we appreciate our contry and all she has to offer. The next information does not in any way share how grateful we are to be alive and well. It’s just our experience based soon to areas. One the COVID life and all that goes with it. Whether your a conformist or no. Two the standard that RCI promotes. ...

First Sailing Let Down!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We wanted to participate in the first sailing, shame on us for assuming it would be special. We went in knowing there would be kinks but as a family we were treated like lepers. We all tested negative, the teens multiple times but still identified them with bands to make sure we were treated accordingly. Our dining team couldn't have spent any less time with us, so much money to be so ...

Adventure of the Seas was okay

We chose this cruise for it's itinerary. The days at sea combined with Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire was very appealing. We had not been on Royal Caribbean in quite a few years and wanted to give it another try. We were satisfied with the cruise but nothing was so good that we would plan on returning to Royal Caribbean. The ship felt so small. The public spaces were always crowded and we had ...

Enjoyable but maintenance problems

Embarkation was very easy. On the ship within 5 minutes of arrival. Cabin was clean as expected. Main dining room food was good, except some meals were sent back because they were served cold. Windjammer buffet was good. Shows were just average and there were no production shows. They did not have a Love and Marriage Game show which we have always found to be enjoyable. Service was ...

We chose this cruise because it was related to work. Pro: The entertainment throughout the ship was outstanding. The dancers, vocalists, ice skaters, and individual performers were highly professional! Cons: We ended up with a cabin overlooking the promenade. Unless you party late I would not recommend this location because of loud music. The food in the dining room was ...

Not the best

It was going where I wanted to go. My stateroom was right above the Dog pub so it kept me awake till midnight, however, did enjoy looking out over the promenade. Room wasn’t as clean as I hoped. Carpet stained, cigarette burns on bathroom sink, shelves not clean. Not much activity going on during the day. Twice I went to watch activity but no one showed up. Not ships fault, think more ...

We chose this cruise because my husband and I needed a very relaxing vacation. Our winter, spring and summer had been very chaotic due to family illness. With that being said, we were excited to be going out of Cape Liberty, no need to fly. We've cruised on Royal Caribbean ships quite a few times. Upon boarding, sea pass cards are not given out anymore. You are given a piece of paper with your ...
