If you like shabby accommodation

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We booked a 2 week Mediterranean cruise for 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 8) sleeping in one family cabin with a balcony. The bed option was a double bed and a sofa bed. Embarkation at Southampton was very smooth. When we were able to access our cabin, we were disappointed. The room was small – we were prepared for that as we appreciate space is a premium on a cruise ship. However… there was a ...

We say that most of the staff of Royal Caribbean have to work with situations they can not control. Our stateroom steward was wonderful. He had to deal with our terrible situation. 1. Restroom smelled like urine everyday. He used bleach regular to clean and pour down the drain. 2. The stateroom smelled like urine regularly. 3. The refrigerator did not work. Told 5 minutes after arriving. The ...

We cruised on the Adventure Of The Seas now in July, and were quite disappointed. We cruised many times and mostly on RCC. The My Time dining did not work at all on this ship. The reception explained that it is not possible to get a reservation at 7:00pm We had to share with other couples, or wait for a table many times even if our booking was for 7:45. After we've complained many times for a ...

Worst Cruise Ever?

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

This is possibly the worst cruise I have ever sailed on. As a Royal Caribbean Diamond member I have been on quite a few cruises and reviewed every one of them. This one was the pits. Just as a reference, I travel alone and booked a medium suite (GS grade). The boarding went smoothly enough and there were no queues (I arrived at 1.00pm.) Issued with my charge card I made my way up to the ...

A nightmare in DISGUISE...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

For our 50th anniversary we wanted something special; Based on commercial information we selected a cruise to the Caribbean. We have great expense to go from Las Vegas to Orlando airport, from there after few days at DISNEY, we rented a car to Port Canaveral where we went through an excruciating process: ( acceptable because the terrorist incidents). The ship was beautiful to look at from the ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

Worst cruise experience EVER! I understand that cruise ships break, but that is the time to STEP UP one's customer service, not pretend that it isn't happening! We got in line to board the ship at around 11:30 AM, I had read where you could board by 12, even though the ship didn't set sail until 8PM. It was hot and humid, but there were locals selling water for $1 a bottle. After about an hour ...

Most disorganized ship afloat

While there were some positive thisngs about this cruise, the negative were so overpowering that I will probably never use Royal Caribbean again. The service in the diniing room was impeccable, although when we initially were seated (at the 6pm seating) we were given a cramped table next to both the sairway and the kitchen. This was changed after I threatened to withhold all dining room ...

My main problem with this ship (and likely the whole fleet) is the food. While there were other passengers who happily ate their meals, I was in the awkward position of having to live mostly on rolls & cheese, some fruit, with the odd yogurt now & then, plus a few bowls of horrible, tasteless porridge, and at dinner occasionally a few veg without seasoning. Why? Because my stomach does not like ...

We have just returned from an 8 night cruise to France and Spain onboard The Adventure of the Seas and can honestly say that is one of the worst experiences we have ever had. The Ship is very impressive to look at but that is where it begins and ends. The Food was of a very poor standard compared to other cruises we have been on the meat was tough, and was either undercooked or cremated no happy ...

We took our third Mediterranean cruise in as many years in August with Royal Carribean, having been previously with Princess and Cunard. Good things first - the staff were pretty good, checking in and disembarking at Southampton was very efficient and, errr, now I'm struggling. Oh wait, the breakfast buffet was quite nice too. And the cabins were clean. I'm afraid there's quite a long list of ...
