Not so great Adventure of the Seas

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

After going on one of RC's biggest ships, it is tough to go back to a smaller ship. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. Room was adequate. Steward was nice. Had a not-so-nice experience at last night's MDR dinner (waiter failed to inform me that the fish of the day had been changed and placed the new fish in front of me without offering me a chance to re-order my dinner - I was ...

Cruise was not as we expected. Better service would have helped this review.

Food was good, service was awful. Room service forgot our items more than once. Starbucks employees extremely rude. Cleanliness was terrible at Starbucks. I would not recommend Royal Caribbean adventure of the seas. The ship was too small. It was supposed to be refurbished but our bedroom was not done, shower was peeling and the windjammer had peeling wall paper all around. The best part was ...

Disappointing experience

We are frequent cruisers on RCI. The nightly entertainment was sub-par with the exception of Men of Culture and the piano man in the Schooner bar. All other band entertainment failed to engage the crowd and didn't even look to be enjoying what they were playing. My Time dining seating was terrible. We were twice placed next to the service station, so I felt like I was sitting in the kitchen. ...

Horrible food, filthy public bathrooms, ran out of vodka to take home

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

I have sailed on RC before..... it was great. This time, food was HORRIBLE, filthy public bathrooms, short staffed, ran out of vodka to take home, inconsistent air conditioning, areas of the ship smelled like a cesspool, no ventilation in elevators, no coffee etc by pools, had to walk soooooo far for a coffee or iced tea etc., waited 10-15 minutes to get a drink at the bar at dinnertime. When I ...

Worst experience at Royal Caribbean I had so far

Cruise was overcrowded to the point that you have to waited over a 30 minutes everywhere in ship even in the pool which is ridiculous. The ship had 6 hot tubs all of them overcrowded and children under 7 years will not allow adults to get in it cause it was a small pool to them to jump and play around and stafff will not remove them or said anything to them. Children were running around the ship ...

I chose Royal Caribbean because I have been on many cruises before and I never had a problem. This cruise was different......the weather was horrible( not Royal Carribean fault) It was Mothers Day and we were not told children cruised for FREE!!!(to many kids) I chose my time dinning and was treated different. I was asked where I sat the night before??? Why? The entertainment was far and few. ...

Ship is really overcrowded and unorganized

We chose this cruise for a celebration of birthdays in my family. We cruise 1-2 times per year on a variety of cruise lines. I have been on rccl only on chartered trips for company conventions and it was a totally different experience then. This cruise left NJ which was actually great. Nice weather heading out. BUT as day one went on we began to realize how poorly this ship is layed out. ...

Great service but disappointing food

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We choose this cruise for the affordability and because we have been wanting to try Royal Caribbean. The service from our state room attendant, Byron, and our waiter in the main dining room, Michael, were excellent and very attentive! The ship was clean and we enjoyed the shows. We were disappointed with the food - it lacked flavor and tasted like it was mass produced. The crab cakes were ...

Counting down the days

I was counting down the days until this cruise was over. I brought my 2 year old daughter with me, as well as, my mother. Getting on the ship would have been good but we dealt with some rude people telling us to "hurry up" and putting us in the wrong line and so on.This cruise ship is very hard to navigate with a stroller, wheelchair, etc. Hardly any activities for 2 year olds. The one thing she ...

BEWARE OF SHORE EXCURSIONS

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

I haven't sailed with Royal Caribbean in a number of years and was anxious to try one of their newer ships, Adventure of the Seas. I had not been to 3 of the 4 destinations before and that was a factor in choosing this particular sailing from April 7-14, 2018. I had not been to St. Kitts before and was excited to check out the best possibilities for excursions that would interest me. I found ...
