Firstly, Southampton is only 25 minutes away from where we live so we left our house at 12.30 and were in our stateroom by 1.10pm! Forty minutes ... not bad! Shame our luggage didn't appear until well after dinner!

A large boat. Larger than we have cruised on. Somtimes bigger is not better.
RCI touts this as a premiere ship. It has some severe limitations. Cruising the North Sea, with an OPEN area solarium pool is inconceivable. BOTH main pools are open. The Adventure is going to the Caribbean in November as well it should.

We chose this cruise as we had never visited Iceland before and we weren't disappointed. The ship is typical of Royal Caribbean with the Royal Promenade in the centre and same bars etc. It was clean and well furnished with lots of new carpet throughout. We have just returned from a lovely weeks cruise on this brilliant ship.
We found the embarkation experience to be very easy-turning up slightly earlier than we should and finding no long queues or wait. With our two daughters this made getting onboard nice and easy and we were soon exploring the ship within about half an hour.

After a easy four hour drive we went straight on,no problem one of our quickest boardings, on for 12-noon
We know the layout of the ship easy to find your way round.Had some food then to the cabin 8390 corner cabin, one of the best cabins on the ship lovely balcony even tea making in the cabin.
