I was travelling alone and chose the cruise because of the ports visited. The embarkation was quick and easy, with lunch in the Windjammer self-service café. I went down to meet people in the Dog and Duck pub but only talked to a few of the group. Next morning was the Meet and Mingle arranged by the roll call. This is did not work for a number of reasons. First the time was changed to 9.30 instead ...

My first cruise on RCI and had high expectations for an alleged 4 star cruiseline. Unfortunately the ship presentation, service and food was by a long way the worst out of the five ships I have sailed on. Boarding / Disembarkation This was probably one of the best things about the cruise. The Boarding process was quick and seamless. On disembarking we elected for self assisted and took our own ...

Last week we returned from a Baltic & Russia Norway Cruise. I had extremely high expectations of Royal Caribbean having travelled with them several times before. But we where slightly dissapointed the downside for me this time was the very tired staterooms stained carpets, furniture badly needing replaced, bathroom and shower facilities requiring attention and the entire cabin requireing some ...

I want to write an honest update to one of my favourite ships (Voyager Class - 5 Trips), which also has the best staff !! We previously travelled on Adventure of the Seas last July, and we had a fantastic time ... So we looked forward to this one and also meeting old friends (Staff) and to look at the refit work done earlier this year. To be fair the previous reviews had us concerned about the ...

I was about to prepare a long review of this cruise for Iceland and Norway but Skandic6 has beaten me too it. His complaints are almost exactly the same as ours. The trip was very enjoyable but I am afraid that, since we started cruising with RCCL 10 years and 8 cruises ago, their standards have dropped considerably. The ship was very tired looking. Our Grand Suite (1568) was nice but close ...

We booked a package with Royal Caribbean for flight, transfers, and balcony cabin, the flight with Flybe from Manchester to Southampton was excellent, we boarded the transfer coach (53seater) then had to wait for other flights to come in before we could depart the airport, 10 passengers in total on the coach.Arrived at the docks at 11am. Check in was very well organised and professional, we boarded ...

My husband and I chose this itinerary for our seventh cruise with Royal Carribean. We enjoy our time on the ship but usually look for interesting port stops. We flew into Southampton airport from Dublin. It is a only a one hour flight. The transfer to the ship by RCI was quick and efficient. We boarded Adventure of the Seas early around 11.30am. The boarding was easy and quick. Despite the fact ...
