Everything was seamless- the boat was easy to navigate, crew went above an beyond to ensure a great experience. Our inside stateroom was perfect for the two of us... many storage compartments and beds and pillows were super comfortable. Many activities for teens. Entertainment was either very good or disappointing but the parties and outdoor movies were great. Food was delicious in both dining rooms. Valentines was celebrated with a fantastic chocolate buffet. I truly appreciated how the staff encourages people to wash hands. Issues: the app isn’t reliable , announcements can’t be heard in the cabin, smoking areas are not located in great areas..... casino stinks of smoke and the smoking area on deck 11 is too close to the doors and towel station... several of the staff at the customers service desk were not fluent in English which led to mistakes and misunderstandings. Our stateroom assistant was outstanding.... he couldn’t do more for us. Read Less

Elvis Tribute Artist cruise; having sailed on many RCCL ships, I found Adventure to have positives (smaller size easier to get around) and negatives (RCCL has tried to squeeze all of the amenities of Oasis class ships into this smaller one making for some tight spaces). Food was OK but choices very limited. Complimentary was either the main dining room with service that was way over the top ingratiating or the Windjammer buffet. There is also a Cafe in the Promenade that is small and crowded with pick-up items. That main dining room service---our waitstaff hovered over us constantly asking if the food - and "most especially" the service were excellent. About halfway through our meal, we just wanted to tell them to go away but held back knowing the mean well and in their culture they are being gracious. Only ate in there one time. Windjammer food was fine and if not, option to go back for something better. Ate in Giovanni's - one of the fee restaurants and did not think it worth the $35 each price tag: ate in a la carte Izumi and would never do that again - again not worth the money --- extraordinarily limited menu and food just OK. Good daytime place to relax and read is the Blue Moon lounge on Deck 14. Gripe---paying for a junior suite did not give us privileges to the "Suite Lounge" - always has on Oasis class ships but not this one. Cabin: nice and spacious and comfortable. Our cabin attendant was fine although having pre-paid tips and having asked nothing of him over and above his ordinary duties, found the TIP, TIP HOORAY envelope left in our room on the last night annoying. Yes, we caved and gave him an extra tip. That's all one does on these ships - everything wants and "additional" tip which should only be added for extraordinary service. Hard to comment on entertainment as we were enveloped in the shows included in our private group; we did think, though, that there seemed to be limited entertainment and thought we would have been looking for something do at night if not for our group events. Best port of call was Grand Cayman but given that it was a tender situation with a very short day, we elected not to get off the ship. Costa Maya and Cozumel are two places no one really needs to ever go. Read Less

Went with a group of 3 other families. All three families were traveling with children. My husband and I were not. We departed from Ft Lauderdale flying in the day before. Our hotel, the Marriott, had a shuttle to the port the next morning, so we did not rent a car. We took an Uber to dinner. No exploring of Ft Lauderdale since we had no rental car. We were on the Adventure of the Seas in a Junior Suite #1644 on deck 10. We picked this type of room based on the space in the bathroom. Deck 11 had the Windjammer, the buffet option for meals. We did hear some banging from time to time with, but for the most part it did not bother us to much. Embarkation was a little confusing as we had not done this thing in 25 years, but for the most part uneventful. Within minutes of check in the boarding process onto the ship was called. I had no complaints with the ship except for the elevators. Elevators would pass even though the button for up or down was pushed. There were 4 elevators located in the front port side and 4 more front aft side. The back end of the ship the same setup was made. We ended up using the stairs to move through the ship. We used the Windjammer on the first day at lunch time before the room was available at 1pm and for lunch when the Main Dining room was not available. We ate at the Main Dining room for all dinners. The food was fabulous EVERY night as was the service in the Main Dining room. The first excursion was the Stringray City and Snorkeling in the Grand Cayman sponsored by Royal Caribbean. It was a good experience but was crowded. We have been charged for the pictures, but still have not received them. I encourage all of you to pay for items with a charge card so you can call the credit card company to complain if you do not receive what you should have received. I could have done without Costa Maya. We did not have an excursion planned and did not feel comfortable leaving the initial high sale area of the port. Within 45 minutes, we returned to the ship. We paid for a Royal Caribbean sponsored excursion for the Playa Mia Beach Resort in Cozumel. There was an option for an all inclusive with lunch. We only chose the option to go the beach NOT the lunch option. We ordered and paid for lunch which was delicious and still came out cheaper than the lunch option. We were so happy with our experience that we booked a Christmas cruise for Dec 2019 on the Allure of the Seas. We would book another cruise on Adventure of the Seas in a heartbeat. Our decision to change ships was the broadway entertainment offered on the larger ship. My parents will be joining us and wanted the entertainment option. Read Less

This was a group cruise. I was a bit apprehensive about possibly being seasick, but that was not a problem. The stateroom was very nice and comfortable. The ship was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. I did not like being constantly “sold.” That was annoying and lacked class. Tacky. The food was mediocre to awful. They had cream soups with no cream in them... in fact I don’t think there was any cream on the ship as we couldn’t find any for our coffee either. The coffee was really really awful. On lobster night we were served a single Maine lobster tail. 3-4 bites of lobster for your supper? Really? Ports of call were Grand Caymen, Costa Maya and Cozumel. All looked like they built Disneyland at the end of the pier. Ww dif one Shord excursion that was cut short and we felt ripped off. Would definitely not choose this cruise line again. Read Less
