Adventure is showing its age some but still maintained nicely. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I did opt to sign up for the Key as it is slightly more than the Internet package so it’s worth getting for me but I would think twice for a family or couple. The Key lunch on the ship was definitely sub par so I would’ve rather have booked the Chops lunch directly. The part that was very ...
Mostly boring during the day. Lots of noise, lots of tots. It's October. No school for these kids? Evening entertainment blah. One drink: $14 plus 18% service charge and NOT ONE PEANUT available, even if you ask. Been cruising since 1971. Cruised RCC many times before Covid shut them down and gave them a reason to cut back on everything. Been on more than 30 cruises. If they take away any more ...
We sailed as a family of five on Adventure, all adults. Even though we had a good trip the ports and ship would not be my first choice again.
Boarding was a shambles, but not Royal’s fault. They had a Coast Guard inspection that morning, and there is no controlling how long the Coast Guard takes. Once we were released to board, even though it was hectic with so many people, it went ...
To start off with if you don’t have fun on a cruise there is something wrong with you!! That being said royal caribbean has gone downhill since covid! we are diamond on royal and sapphire on ncl. we have always thought the food was better on royal caribbean! not so anymore. it was terrible! most nights i didn’t find anything i wanted to eat! the french onion soup had no onions in it! just ...
We chose this cruise for it's itinerary which included St. Croix, Tortola and Coco Cay. Due to hurricane Lee's location north of St. Croix and Tortola. The new ports of call were Roatan, Cozumel and Coco Cay. We not entirely sure this was necessary but we'll assume RCCL was playing it safe. Disappointed with the new itinerary as we had been to Roatan and Cozulmel ad nauseam.
We're Diamond ...
We chose this cruise mostly based on itinerary as we have sailed the Caribbean many times but have never been to St Croix or Tortola. Despite the heading saying this was a 5 day it was a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise. This was our second cruise on the Adventure, the last one being about 6 1/2 years ago. The cruise itself we found to be quite boring. Most things are surrounded around childen and ...
My husband and I wanted take our children (ages 7 & 6) on their first cruise. So we selected a little 4 night weekend getaway. The ship was nice, my children loved the waterslides and the surfing pool. The food was good in the main dining, but we agreed that we didn't care for the open time seating. It always felt like chaos and we felt rushed once we got to our table. I would recommend that you ...
I understand that RC was trying to cut costs by only having rooms attended to once a day, but on a 5 day cruise, we had our room cleaned 1 time, no towel animals, and we left the magnet on the door every time we left the room. That's bad service. Also, to get pool towels delivered you can scan in and request them. I did that - they never came. The bartenders were awesome, the food was okay, but ...
We chose this cruise due to dates and port. It's really narrow and the promenade deck is hard to get through when busy. Staff and food were excellent. We ate at Giovanni's and main dining for dinner. We didn't love the lunch in the main dining but dinners were great. We were disappointed there was no lobster night. I don't know it was only on longer cruises. Toilet didn't flush sometimes. ...
We recently moved from the east coast to Houston. Galveston is so convenient from Houston so we booked an inside promenade view for under $500 (for 2)for 4 days beginning January 3rd, 2022 - our first in over 2 years.
It was great to cruise once again and, it had it's great and not-so-great - like all vacations:
The great:
price, service, and value
inside cabin overlooking the ...
