I just came back from Adventure Of The Seas ... It was my first cruise and it was amazing from the beginning to end ! ... Getting on the ship in Cape liberty was quick ... We got on the ship at 11 by 1 our bags were at the rooms already .. I had a balcony room it was a nice size for two people it had a little couch also and a makeup area. The balcony was my favorite I would deff recommend to get one ... The pool area was beautiful plenty of bars the drinks were excellent!! I don’t drink a lot so I only got the refreshment package but I will deff be getting the alcohol next time .. coco cay is so nice there’s everything on it ... chairs everywhere to sit or u can upgrade and spend money on a cabana .. We did the jet ski tour it was well worth !! The boat brings ur lunch on the beach which was cool and that’s Royal Caribbean’s island so all the drinks were free if u had the package there’s all little huts and hair braiding there’s even a bar in the water ... Florida we went went to the beach with the shuttle it brought us right there and right back bet relaxing... Nassau we did the Belmont island and that was gorgeous!!! It rained on an off but it was still insanely nice the only water you can see crystal clear there was two pools optional swim with dolphins ... the only thing is the food and drinks where a little expensive but we got a few drinks and went back to the boat to eat when we were done ...The main dining room was delicious the waiter Ramil and he’s helper Pablo was the best and the room cleaner edy was great to ...The food was great every day and we did the buffet at the windjammer which had everything... I went with a group of people I am 24 and the ages were 24 to 70 andWe all had a great time it’s a family boat , single people will have a good time and a lot for kids everyone there is something for .... the shows and game shows are awesome ... !I already booked my second one !!! I deff reccomend this ship Read Less

Chosen for port of Embarkation and cost. Unfortunately, with everyone telling me how great cruises are, etc. It set a level of expectation that I didn't feel was met. The soups were too salty, the Omelette station was too slow, worse since there were two people preparing them and then oiling the pan AND spraying it. The Cafe Promenade which catered to the out of hours dining rooms featured pizza, tea sandwiches and salads. But Ni's winning smile was worth the trip. The schedule should have been given for the entire length of the cruise instead of daily. It would help you plan your itinerary better when there was an overlap, which forced you to sometimes make the wrong decision if you didn't think you'd get a second opportunity, It seemed kind of silly that the photography gallery was inaccessible when the cash registers weren't open. It's obviously for upselling purposes but if I could have the opportunity to review my images on MY time I might have purchased more, I hate being rushed. The drink and wi-fi sales the last two days were last minute marketing gimmicks which was a waste of time. It might help those of us who don't drink enough to justify a drink package, especially if your partner doesn't drink. Read Less

we chose the cruise because we wanted to try a different ship and also wanted a seven day cruise and not a 5 day cruise as that was the only one available on Anthem of the Seas. We loved the ship the food was great. We were especially impressed with the buffet. It had a great deal of variety and an abundance of food. The main restaurant was also great the food and service was excellent. There was also a great deal of shade available around the pool which is important for us. The entertainment was very good the comedians were great. We liked the promenade on this ship more than on the Anthem of the seas . There was more variety of food available after hours. Our cabin was very spacious for an inside room plenty of storage space, I guess because it was an older ship. The only thing we were not impressed with was the solarium which has a sky opening so when it is cold and the weather is bad you cannot seek refuge there. We love the Solarium on Anthem of the Seas much better. Overall we loved the Adventure of the seas and are taking it again soon heading to Canada and New England. We traveled alone but if you come with children there are many activities available and the pool area has sections specially for children of all ages. Read Less

Initially recommended by to me by a friend, they made us aware of Royal Caribbean and the great selection of cruises available. The overall cruise experience superseded my expectations. The destinations were a great selection of Caribbean islands to visit. The onboard entertainment and organised events like the ice skating shows and musicals were fantastically organised and choreographed, the food (both buffet and a la carte) were excellent standard and the service was truly second to none. We found the ship to be incredibly clean. Our cabin was tidied and cleaned twice daily. The facilities were clean. The staff across the ship went over and above expected levels to make our cruise experience a special experience. The staff also made a big effort with our children and made their experience a special one also. It was a truly wonderful week made better by the service levels given to all guests on board. Thank you so much Royal Caribbean, Read Less

++ Great Itinerary and ports of call Great cuisine on dinners a la carte, many options in windjammer restaurant Great service and staff Nice attractions on ship like ice rink and flow rider, there was time for everything Excursions were very good organized Ship is in a very good condition, very comfortable Traveled with 1 year old baby, everything was great and suitable, staff was very attentive - - All shows with dancers and singers are similar Cabin need to be refurbished in bathroom area Balcony and crystals were dirty all time Disembarkation was a mess, everyone had to go down by stairs (they didn't allow us to use elevator even when we had baby stroller), lines on customs (just 3-4 officers for 3000 people) Great trip and great experience overall, would be back on this ship if happened. And definitely would be back on some of the islands again! Read Less

Chose this cruise over a year ago because of the itinerary - which was slightly changed due to the hurricanes. This was fine - and not a factor in my review. We were early to embark, had the 12:30 slot. It was raining and the process was not organized. Wet luggage delivered at 9pm - including the contents. I assumed that the luggage was kept under cover, but apparently not. This was frustrating and disappointing as a start, but our room attendant brought tons of hangars and I had clothes hanging everywhere trying to dry. Our room was fine. We've been on the bigger, newer ships, and the age of this one did show a little. The balcony was teeny, barely fit the table/chair, so we hardly used it. Would not recommend spending the money for balcony on this ship if you are unsure. It ended up being just a window for us. But the room space was perfect and there were lots of areas for storage. Water pressure at the sink was nill. But shower was great. Ship has been kept in great condition. It was clean and neat, and every staff person very friendly and accommodating. But overall, it was uninspiring. Biggest pluses: Weather was good (hot, but sunny) and seas calm. Spa was great - services exceptional - and appointments easy to get even last minute. Fitness and wellness staff knowledgeable and dedicated to their jobs and the people they worked with. (shout out to Marko who was always a pleasure to see everyday) Coffee at the (pizza place? I think) was best I've had on a cruise. Consistently good. Dining room staff was great and the food was better than any other (free) options on the ship. (though we paid to eat in the restaurants or on the islands as much as possible) Getting on/off ship at ports - well organized and never backlogged. Biggest disappointments: Windjammer. Probably worst food ever on a cruise. Healthy food / salad bar pretty much non-existent. (salad bar was like 6 things and 3 lettuces - never changed) For everyone else in my party, soup was same most days and just repeat stews etc. And of course, crowded - All. The. Time. Nothing makes me feel more like I'm NOT on vacation than fighting crowds for a table or a plate. We stopped even thinking of eating there any day we were at sea or any time that was "normal" eating time. Late night (after 9:30) eating: There is only 1 option. And that's to stand in line for 30 minutes for a slice of rubber pizza or a stale left over tomato/mozzarella sandwich. We were shocked by this. They keep serving drinks of course, till wee hours - so make sure you stow food in your room if you need to eat when you're drinking a lot! Entertainment: not abundant. I was happy to be on a ship that didn't require you to reserve your seats for everything in advance. I guess the downside to that is limited activity. The theater is extremely comfortable though and we could always get a seat. Excursions - ours got cancelled on this sailing. Was a theme with many people we met. That's never happened before- especially so many of them. We ended up winging it at each port and that was OK. Every stop had a decent local tour available. While the ship did offer activities during the day - the fun stuff was poolside - and impossible to get near unless you camped out 2+ hours ahead of time. It was a crowded ship. And I hear they are refurbishing in January and adding MORE cabins. Can't imagine. Ports: Curacao: We did Resort for a Day at Santa Barbara. Had a great time - highly recommended. Beach was wonderful. Beautiful resort. Our sunset cruise (booked on ship) was canceled. Bonnaire: If you didn't book a water activity, there's not much to see here at the port. Little shopping, no restaurants. So,we ended up taking advantage of the thinner crowd and stayed mostly on ship. Aruba: beautiful island and were were docked there all day (7am to 11pm). Did a walking tour with an outside company which was interesting and fun and provided a chance to eat local food. Then grabbed a taxi to Eagle Beach for the afternoon ($20 for a chair!) but really enjoyed the beach and the drinks. Wanted to shop, but most things closed at 6pm, so we just did some bar/food hopping and hit the casino. St. Kitts: Made this our shopping port since excursion was canceled and we have been here before. Locals super friendly and lots of shops/straw market. Friends grabbed an island tour by local taxi and said it was incredible. So the itinerary was great. The ship was just good. This is our 5th RCI cruise and we just booked a newer ship (Harmony) for next year. We've done Oasis and Anthem (in the years they were new) so maybe this smaller ship just wasn't for us. Our party is on the fence as to whether we need to consider another line. So we'll give it one more shot !! Read Less

We did not choose this ship it chose us! We have talked of taking a cruise but I was afraid of being sick and feeling closed in. Royal Caribbean took us in free of charge after going thru the most traumatic experience of surviving Irma. We were stuck without any hope of getting off the island anytime soon. We just came out of the small shelter Divi Little Bay had for us after Jose decided to turn. We had to leave everything we had except a small bag for passport, meds and valuables to get on the ship. The staff were absolutely incredible. We were all in shock as we entered the ship and they met us "THANKING US FOR COMING!" can you imagine? We were beyond thankful for their accepting us in. They did not just take us in, they treated us all with respect as if we had paid full price for the trip like any other passenger. It was hard to wrap my head around coming from Irma, then Jose to walking into the beauty of the ship and staff. This was the first vacation we took in 4 years after i broke my back and went thru surgery. Thank you!!! Thank you!! for going out of your way to help those of stranded and in shock. There are no words for what you have done for all you have helped during this time. You were a God sent in the biggest time of need. We will now be taking our trips to the Caribbean, Europe or anywhere the ship will go via Royal Caribbean. You are truly an amazing way to see the world and to be treated like royalty. Read Less

This was an outstanding cruise with port calls at five interesting Caribbean islands: St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados. It sailed out of San Juan; we stayed there for two days upon our return. The boarding was well-organized and not particularly time consuming. The same was true for departure, which was very well done. Our Junior Suite stateroom was spacious and comfortable. It was kept in top shape by our friendly and very capable Stateroom Attendant Lizbeth Brooks. Dining was excellent with very good food and service. The breakfast and lunch buffets offered just about anything one could desire or imagine. The service was excellent, with waiters hovering nearby by bring beverages or clean up tables. Head Waiter Anabela De Gois was particularly helpful in correcting one small dinner complaint we had; she was thorough and gracious in responding. It was nice to have the flexibility of "My Time" dining. However, we found that if we changed the time from a pre-selected seating, the table was not particularly desirable. The cruise was great for those who like to exercise. There was a running track on the 12th deck, with five laps to a mile. It was particularly delightful to run early in the morning while arriving at a new port. The ship's fitness center was large and well-equipped, with a separate room for stretching and class exercises. The port excursions were interesting and varied. The St. Kitts tour of a "Caribbean Plantation and Beach" was somewhat underwhelming. The 'plantation' was an interesting old house with wonderful views and gardens, but not much more. The beach was nothing to write home about. By contrast the "Best Views of St. Lucia" tour was well worth taking. It did indeed offer wonderful views of this lush, green island. It also featured a stop at the Rain Forest Adventure Park, where one could take a walk into a fascinating rain forest with giant trees and tropical plants -- a world of its own. My wife and I particularly valued the "Best of Barbados" tour, where we were privileged to have Susan Abbott as the guide. Speaking with a slight Irish brogue (her grandfather was Irish!), she proved to be an expert on local plants, flowers, trees and fruit as well as a highly knowledgeable Barbados historian. At the tour's end we expressed interest in seeing the house where a young George Washington stayed in 1751 on his only trip outside the U.S. Although somewhat off the beaten track, Susan kindly took us there in her own vehicle, waited for us, and drove us back to the ship. She deserves special recognition not only as an outstanding tour guide but also as a gracious and caring person. We highly recommend the cruise and this tour -- maybe you'll be lucky enough to have Susan as your guide! Upon departure we took the ship's early morning "Old and New San Juan" city tour, with a dropoff at the airport. It's a great way of learning about the history and architecture of San Juan, while effectively using time before a flight or, in our case, before checking into a hotel. Upon return to the airport it was very easy to claim our luggage (which was conveniently and safely stored for those on the tour). Those with flights proceeded into the airport; we took a cab to our hotel. This was a great cruise, with plenty to do on the ship, outstanding dining, a most attentive staff, and interesting and varied islands to visit. We highly recommend it. Read Less

I live in Puerto Rico and like to cruise with my family within the Caribbean. There are a lot of activities for everyone in the Adventure of the Seas: surfing, (Flowrider), slides, rock climbing, dancing, first class shows for the grownups, water park, painting and shows for the little ones, excellent food at all times. Beautiful promenade deck with like-a-Paris street with cafes and lounges on both sides. The waiters, assistant waiters, cabin attendants and the rest of the crew, make you feel like you are the main reason for their service. We had 3 cabins and all of them were very roomy and clean. Ours were at Deck 8 looking the Promenade. You can see all shows and parades from there when the Promenade is too crowd. Excellent choice. The variety of food during dinner time was great, including lobster. If you don't want to miss the shows, pick first seating or my time dining at 6:00 pm. You won't regret. Only negative thing, smoking in the Casino. I like to play sometimes, but with all that smoke around, spend few bucks and go. Read Less

I chose this cruise to do some diving at the different islands. The only on offered through the ship was St. Maartin, so I booked the rest by myself. Made suggestion about having more diving activities on this cruise. Hopefully, they will ad more dives in the future. Overall, the ship is beautiful. The staff was excellent and my room attandant, Matthew, was outstanding. The activites were varied to suit all ages. I even tried the FlowRider - loads of fun - both the body board and stand up surfing. There was enough time each day to take in some of the local culture each day. 8 am - 4:30 pm. Would definitely recommend this cruise for its variety. The only reason I gave it a 4, was because of the lack of diving activities and the downside - you had to pay for most classes in the gym. Otherwise, it would have been a 5. Read Less
