It was originally scheduled as a 7 night Eastern Caribbean to St Croix, Tortola and Coco Cay RT from Ft Lauderdale. We chose this cruise for it's itinerary which included St. Croix, Tortola and Coco Cay. Due to hurricane Lee's location north of St. Croix and Tortola. The Adventure of the Seas is an old ship that is in need of a lot of care and maintenance. The appearance of the ship is rusty, with outside tables and chairs that are showing their many years of usage. Royal Caribbean stateroom and dining options were a disappointment. We had a balcony room, the balcony was full of sandblasting dust on the chairs and table. The interior sofa was heavily soiled with stains and the carpet was dirty with red juice or wine stains. The wood cabinetry was grimy and sticky.
