Nice small cruise but lots of issues

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Grand Princess

Seems like Princess are skimping on staff. Distinct lack of drinks waiters. Having to wait up to 20 minutes for a waiter to come by. Cost of drinks very expensive. Basic glass of wine $15.one would think that it would pay to have extra staff as this is where a lot of money is made. Food was great. Entertainment excellent. We only took x1 Princess excursion as they were ridiculously expensive, a ...

We were travelling with friends from a previous cruise. There The ship is dated. The external appearance is worn. The interior fittings in looked dark and out of style but The cabin decks carpets looked worn. The ship layout was confusing having travel up and down decks to reach the rear restaurant. ,,, The medallion app was great and easy to use, streamlining drink orders etc. ...

Terrible experience

Embarking on this cruise I was surprised there was no covid screening requested or available prior to embarkation. Given the majority of passengers were seniors and there were 3500 people sharing what amounted to a sealed tin can, I found this a little odd. After 7 days our cruise turned to rubbish: My wife contracted covid and was isolated to our room. Despite sharing the same room but ...

My reintroduction to cruising. Grand Princess looked like she'd been carefully manicured while she was laid up. Fresh paint, everything tidy. The last renovation was a good one. The medallion system is a godsend! Seriously transforms the experience. No more card fumbling. Drinks easy to come by and the plus package is worth every cent. Food was very good, better than a previous trip on Golden ...

We have just returned from a 3 night mini break from Adelaide to Melbourne via Kangaroo Island. The ship herself, is very dated , liked nannas house, only missing the plastic covers on the chairs ! On the positive side, there is a full length walking track on deck 7, a kettle in the cabin and the pressure in the shower is good. I also loved my balcony, sitting out there reading , listening ...

Just wanted a short break to take some non cruisers on a trial cruise...so we did a 3 nighter from Adelaide to Melbourne in 4 cabins. The ship was old and tired, the staff dis-interested and this reflected in the food, some surly waiters and the entertainment. After 3 days, everyone was more than happy to get off ! I dont think I could have handled one day more! So two formal dining rooms ...

Embarked at Adelaide on a16 day cruise of several Australian ports. The ship handled well in a force 7 gale at night with 8metre waves with no roll but with a gentle pitch to lull you to sleep. The public rooms are large and with 2700 people on board one never felt crowded,in some areas there were 20 to 30 people. This vessel is not for people who want nightclubbing. There are 2 floorshows each ...

So disappointed!

The Cunard line is far too convinced of its own distinctive name. Sadly, the brand is more McDonalds than Michelin star. Perhaps it was the best line on offer at some point in the LONG DISTANT past, but we would never bother again. We waited and queued to embark for so long, like cattle to the slaughter- and there was no priority queue for suite passengers- which set the tone of service for the ...

The Cunard line is far too convinced of its own distinctive name. Sadly, the brand is more McDonalds than Michelin star. Perhaps it was the best line on offer at some point in the past, but we would never bother again. Ship was tired and shabby, noisy and creaky. Service was non existent. Everything was too hard for any staff member to consider. Butler? What butler? The food was average. Happy ...
