we chose the cruise for the itenary and it was a area we wanted to go to but unfortunately we did not enjoy the "MDR" as the menu did not change we spent most of our time in the buffet where there was plenty choice also the entertainment was very poor indeed the main dance/singers only done 4 shows in the 15 day cruise not what we expected at all the house bands well to be honest a pub band would ...
What a disappointment! This was the first cruise we had been on and it has put us off cruising for life.
Although the ship is due for a refit next year, we didn't really notice how tired it was. The cabin was fine, dining was great - great variety of food and plenty of it. Dining Room wine waiter refilled the glasses of the male guests - ladies had to ask for a refill? At some tables the ...
Sorry as an extremely seasoned cruisers this was the first time sailing with Celebrity and we were very disappointed. The ship was definitely no 5* the cabin was shabby the bed covers needed updating it was shabby, the towels and flannels etc needed throwing out, the entertainment was not great and the service mediocre. Having said that our cabin steward and our waiters were satisfactory. Our over ...
I chose this cruise because 'Celebrity Cruises' had been recommended to me by my parents who would have the same level of standards as myself. The price was inviting and some of the ports were in places I had yet to visit. I traveled with my boyfriend and my parents (my father is disabled and has to use a wheelchair) so cruises make sense as a holiday option.
We stayed in Abu Dhabi for 4 days ...
just got back from 15 night best of india and sri lanka 10/o4 /18 in aqua class cabin 9061 .cabin ok but a little tired staff work hard to keep a good standard but sheets towels and carpets all need to be replaced I also had a chat with two ladies that were on deck 6 that were complaining of bed bugs in their cabin.the food in blu was very good and the staff were wonderful which is more than can ...
We choose this cruise ship because of the itinerary and was at the time of year that we wanted. We had never travelled with Celebrity and thought we would give it a try. The menu was average. The ship had the "cave" feeling. Dark and old. The specialty restaurants were average and not worth the money. There was NEVER a complete meal that went without "something" wrong. I don't like being ...
Just returned from Abu Dhabi to Singapore via India.
Where do I begin.
Firstly with the good. Food in the main dining was good and varied and our waiters were good.
The guest speakers -two were excellent and the third should have been left in Abu Dhabi.
Ednalyn who was our concierge was brilliant such a lovely cheery soul who could not do enough for you.
Now the not so good:-
1. ...
The itinerary was appealing and the dates fine (we travel every year on the first or second of January for two weeks). We enjoyed all the ports of call, particularly Abu Dhabi and also enjoyed 3 sea days on the way to India and the 2 coming back to Dubai. This is the 12th Cruise we have been on since I retired four years ago and we rate it as second-worst.
Poor service, poor entertainment, poor ...
Chosen for winter sun. Ports uninspiring. Indian visas were a complete, and very expensive, debacle that Celebrity needs to get a grip on - their advice differed from person to person. Unusually, some of the crew were indifferent, at best, and plain rude at worst. Most crew were great but there were more than a few dissenters. 8th cruise with Celebrity and will definitely not be on a ...
This was to be an Anniversary Cruise. Dubai to India
The ship looked great on the outside but inside no WOW FACTOR to greet us nothing like the brochure.
It looked tired and dated.
The cabins were kept immaculate and the crew worked hard to keep the ship clean clean. The crew were very friendly and cheerful
The elevators one of the best bits
It was rated as 5* but a 3* was about its ...
