A Cruise Ship Overwhelmed By The Passengers

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

User Avatar

Long queues repeatedly, starting with 3 1/2 hours to board standing without food or water. Then queues for restaurants, queues for customer services, queues for drinks, queues in the arcade, queues in the water park. Queues in the bars. Not short queues. Long queues. A large and obvious lack of staff who at times were obviously overwhelmed but did battle on. You could try and order breakfast ...

We chose this cruise as this is a new ship and we like to experience new vessels. Well where do I start ,got to southampton ,it then took 3 1/2 hours to board the ship, yes really 3 1/2 hours. Eventually got to the cabin ,guess what NO luggage, several phone calls later before cases found. Now missed dinner slot ,had to wait for second sitting hours since we had eaten, would add no tea ...

Terrible Cruise

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

It started with over a 3 hour queue to get on. Unfortunately we hadn't eaten and didn't think it would be necessary to bring food supplies. We got on just as they had shut the food outlets and our dinner slot was for 9:30 in the evening. Luckily we managed to book a speciality restaurant, Indochine which was lovely. There's a narrow window for the one breakfast restaurant and the market ...

Awful guest services, bad food, underwhelming and sad

Review for MSC Meraviglia to Bahamas

I'm gonna bullet point this *Sheila Dimaan at guest services was awful, argued about fixing an issue rather than fixing the issue. Got so bad we wanted off the boat, boy were they quick to try to make that happen, btw the issue was fixing my room key card and the contact tracing bracelets (kind of important). Were told they couldn't help until after muster was all cleared, meanwhile we ...

We were on this ship right before they did the renovations on the pool deck, so we wanted to come back and see what the changes were. Embarkation and Disembarkation were a breeze. This trip by far was the quickest we were ever able to get on a ship, without waiting in long lines. Everyone at the Miami port were very friendly and welcoming. The ship is beautiful. All the staff were ...

Yacht Club during COVID

Review for MSC Grandiosa to Europe - Western Mediterranean

User Avatar

This was our 5th MSC cruise and 3rd in Yacht Club (we have taken 30+ cruises from Carnival to Regent and a suite on the QE2). The prior 4 were out of Miami therefore we are not sure which differences were COVID-related and which relate to the different ship or location. Booking this cruise was a "roll of the dice" after three prior cancellations. We were not sure that it would actually take place ...

The employees in the terminal seemed to still be in a learning curve. It went pretty slow so if you have the RCCL app use it. Also highlight the date, your name, type of test and result ("Negative") on your printed test so they can find it quickly. The ship was only 33% full so no waiting for elevators, tables, bar service or lounge chairs. Most elevators were empty and no long wait. The ...

The BEST time and the BEST staff.

My friend and I decided to take a girls trip and The MSC Meraviglia is what we decided on. I was concerned after reading reviews but I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had! The food was awesome, (yes people do try to upsell but when you tell them no, they leave. It’s that simple.) The best part of my experience was the staff. These people were amazing to me and I was treated like a ...

We had four cruises cancelled in 2020 and 2021 so this was our first since the Pandemic. Everyone over the age of 12 was vaccinated and I was very impressed with the protocols. We have been on over 25 Royal Caribbean cruises so know the types of activities they usually have on board. The ship was running at 50% capacity so there were no big lines or waiting for elevators. It was a relaxed ...

Issues from day 1

Review for Celebrity Equinox to Caribbean - Southern

User Avatar

There were issues from day 1. We just came off an 8 day Carnival before deciding to give Celebrity a chance. We are currently on the Equinox from September 5- September 17, 2021. We chose this cruise because #1 the reputation of the brand and #2 there offers (free classic drink package, free wifi and gratuities included). On the 1st day, embarking was pretty easy and seemless. After getting to our ...
