Know my biases up front: -not a fan of crowds -Fan of Wind Jammer (3 times) -Enjoyed 7 day on Disney Magic Good: -Cabins, Deluxe family with verandah -kids activities -Castaway Cay -friendliness of crew -embarkation process was improved over last Disney Cruise Bad: -crowded, almost everywhere, almost always -food, not bad, but ranks at bottom of the 5 cruises we've done, fish was consistently overcooked, and everything at Animator's Palate was on the cold side. -no dinner dress code, shorts and tank tops welcomed in main dining -smoking, to get away from the crowds, we'd retreat to our cabin's verandah, but we were often greeted with smoke from other guests. Nassau: -Is a busy Capital city, but traffic really picks up after school let's out around 3. -Cheryl's Taxi & Tour is great. Craig is a friendly and proud Bahamian, who's proud of his country and makes for a great guide.   Read Less

We were on Carnival Sensation in March 2013. We were a group of 8. Port Canaveral was wonderful. WE were on the ship in 2 shakes of a lambs tail. Found the ship to be OLD!!! It was a 3 day cruise. We will never do a 3 day again. By the time you unpack, it's time to pack again. Way too short. This ship was a total party cruise, drinking, no souvenir glasses for refills, food was good. Debarkation was easy and fast. NOW...the fun.... We took another cruise on this ship in September. My husband made Platinum on this cruise, I made platinum on the cruise we just came home from (Dec. 9th, Victory). This was the reason we booked this cruise for September, so I would be Platinum on my next cruise. Booked last minute. On our September sailing.... We arrived at our room, we unpacked, Our cabin was not clean..It was run down, the bathroom door stuck a lot and was rusted, I got stuck inside, but the kicker was the tiny little bugs on the bathroom walls!!!!! We called the front desk, they sent someone to clean it. I was not satisfied as I checked other passengers cabins and they had them too!!!! SO.,they moved us to another cabin (down-grade), and we were not happy. Gave us $40.00 off our first day! BIG DEAL!!! Food was still good, service not so good. Plus our friends who came with us had the same issue with the bugs plus another issue with an officer. Wish I never went on this cruise!!!! This ship should be retired, scrap metal, anything but sailing with passengers! Read Less

My partner and I went on this cruise due to a promotional offer. We simply didn't know what to expect since it was a non-major brand cruise line. The hotel included in the package was dreary and dingy. We had a ticket to dine at the buffet, however we got food poisoning. We complained to the customer service desk, they didn't care. The embarkation wasn't very fast. Once on the ship, you had to navigate through the dining area since it was clogged and not moving. The food was ridiculously bad. Overcooked pasta, bland sauce, iceberg lettuce salad, and sickly sweet tea. It took us 40min just to get our food, and 10min just to find an empty seat. We tried to mingle with others, but everyone seemed frustrated and tried to make the best of the situation. The room we originally had was an interior room, however thinking we'd really benefit from an oceanview, we really weren't. There were no US power outlets and we had to get adapters from the help desk. The oceanview window wasn't even a great view, and the small sized window let in just a bit of light. The edges of the window were rusted and the walls had a sloppy paint job. Bedding couldn't be moved from twins to a full size, strangely. We didn't enjoy the room at all, and yearned to get out of it. Decor of the ship's public rooms were very strange, much like taste out of the late '80's. Floral murals, anyone? The outdoor pool deck left so much to be desired. There were fishtank-like pools and puny spa areas, and there was no way to just dip one's feet in the (not so clean) water. The carpet flooring was soiled all over the place, and I was afraid walking around on it with bare feet. Literally every 30min, the captain or whoever got on the speaker to solicit the passengers in going to the casino. We thought we'd get some peace and quiet in our stateroom, but nope, it was like the volume of a siren. Port of Bahamas had stormy weather. We didn't even bother getting into a cab to go to the water or one of the many tourist traps. We did however find some staff that were very nice. There were just a few of them, the rest were either rude or bad apples. The crew as a whole is not happy on this ship. Our server was very loyal and nice to us once we presented him with a nice tip. Even then, the service was just slow. It took 1hr 30min to get from app's to desserts. The food wasn't quite up to par...it was either bland, dry, or cold. We're not even keen of salty food, but for them to under-season so much was a surprise. The entertainment was hit-or-miss. There were some duds, however there were also some special gems that wowed us. It all depended on who was performing and on which night (it also depends on your taste!). The gym was VERY nice, however was a bit small. The spa staff at the entrance to the gym were rude and just talked smack about the passengers the whole time. All in all, you'd probably like this vacation if you were buzzed/drunk the whole time. This whole cruise, aside from transportation to the marina and the room upgrade, was entirely free. It's free for a reason! Read Less

This was our 3rd cruise on disney (15th cruise overall) and 2nd on the Dream. We just love the ship! The adult area is really enforced but there is a family area on the deck just above the adult pool so if you are with children you do have access to the nice, warm adult pool with swim up bar. the food is excellent and the pirate night party is a blast! People do dress for pirate night in costumes, but there are loads of people who dont!. We had late seating, with an infant, and it went beautifully. Animator's palate is always a really great experience! all in all, i highly recommend cruisng with disney, their attention to service, detail and children can't be beat! The service on board is impeccable, anything you desire you can pretty much get when it comes to food and drink! My hubby won the grand prize at bingo! his first time playing! Disney entertainment is among the best we have seen! Read Less
