We were in cabin 6182, I would request 6180 if I cruise the Zaandam again so I could sit on the sofa and face forward as the ship sails. Great location between elevators and stairways. Read entire member review >>
This is an older ship. The cabins are comfortable, except that the ventilation system is antiquated. Our room was too hot; other passengers complained that their room was too cold. There is only one outlet in the room - my wife uses a CPAP machine, and the outlet was on the opposite side of the room.
The beds are really comfortable, the towels are nice, and the room was kept spotless. Read entire member review >>
Very poor layout. Difficult for myself and husband, both small people, to move around cabin at the same time. No space at foot of the bed, in the closet area, or around the sitting area to pass each other. Room is in need of some TLC. Very worn in places. Read entire member review >>
Great location. No noise issues inside the cabin - it was silent! Occasional noise from chairs being moved on the lido deck heard when we were on the veranda, but not bothersome. No maintenance issues, no smells. Read entire member review >>
6171Good location near elevator in center of ship. Lots of storage space. Actually had some empty drawers and we brought way too much. We brought a power cable at the suggestion of someone. If not there would not have been enough plugs to charge our computer, cameras, etc. The only time we heard neighbors was when we were all out on the balconies watching the ship dock. Loved the balcony - a first for us! The cabin is a nice size and there is ample storage! The refrigerator is warm, so don't plan to keep cokes cold in there. The stewards are WONDERFUL and will keep you in ice if you let them know when you will want it! Read entire member review >>
Clean but crampt and dated. Musty and reaked of cigerette smoke. Hallway quiet and far from elevators but across from busy self-service laundry. Toilet configuration causes knees to shove into bathtub whilst pooping. Read entire member review >>
