Right by elevators so you could hear the ding-ding from them all day. One floor down from Lido and people were constantly lost and would congregate right outside our room by the elevators to talk about how lost they were. Would not recommend this room. Read entire member review >>
We had a Verandah on the 4th floor- lots of storage, room was dated but functioning. Definitely bring surge protector or extra outlets- as there are only 2 for the whole room. The bathroom shower is dark, and the overhead lighting in the mirror let's you know about every eyebrow hair you missed. Read entire member review >>
This cabin is almost dead center on the rear of the ship. Good size room and the balcony was large. However, it was not shaded. This was our first time with a rear cabin and we thought the motion of the ship was a little more noticeable. Noise from the engines was not bad, although we carry a white noise machine so that probably helped at night. Read entire member review >>
The greatest asset to this cabin is also the greatest drawback -- the cabin is adjacent to the entrance of the forward deck and while in Glacier Bay (Alaska), all passengers were invited to go on the forward deck so there was much traffic back and forth. The asset -- easy from 4001 to get onto the deck! Insulation in the room was good and it wasn't cold although cabin stewards spent the day wearing extra sweaters since the corridor temperatures were brisk. Another asset is great forward views while on the verandah. Cabin had plenty of storage space with two drawers under the beds as well as space under the bed to store luggage; good closet space with plenty of hangers. A previous passenger stored their over-ripe laundry in one closet compartment (the one with the basket and laundry list) and i made a note to myself to bring along some sort of thing that could be used as a "sachet" on my next cruise! The cabin was generally very quiet although the last night, some of the crew were partying the nearby crew space and i could hear them. Comfortable beds and bedding. Read entire member review >>
Great balcony! Inadequate air conditioning (despite efforts to try and have this addressed throughout the duration of the cruise). Non-functioning fridge (despite efforts to get it fixed throughout the duration of our cruise). LOTS of closet space! Bathroom could have been designed better, not enough counter/storage space. Balcony was amazing - huge and enjoyable. Bedding was very fresh and clean, and bed was very comfortable. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 6161, Aft. You can feel the motion of the ocean here. Loved the shower only bathroom with the hand held, adjustable shower and the wall mounted dispenser including not only shampoo and conditioner but body wash as well. This is a roomy stateroom for two people and the verandah is an adequate size. It was very quiet because it is at the end of the hallway, away from the elevators and traffic. 7034 is in a good quiet location. It is on the port side way from any crew space and quiet, though it is up near the front we did not feel any extra movement.
The cabin itself is clean and well kept. The balcony was great and the view wonderful. I am glad that we were up that high. Has a bath and shower combo. Would pick it again. Read entire member review >>
The cabin itself was fine. The bathroom was tiny and the closed toilet served as much needed counter space. The verandah was never cleaned - the floor was always dirty - and anyone above us could look right down on us so we had no privacy. We were located at the back of the ship which meant that we could only look at where we had been, not where we were going! Our original cabin was a verandah on the starboard side and at the very last minute we received an e-mail notifying us that there had been a change. When we called HAL to find out why, we were told that this was a better cabin. We were told that the verandah was private but it was not and I didn't like that the woman at the HAL office had lied. Nice size stateroom, balcony was excellent, nice to have shower and tub. Cabin located on Port side near stern found that stack gas blew down on us some evenings because of wind direction. Would consider moving closer to the bow, but we did like our over all location. Read entire member review >>
5067 had a small balcony. The bedding was very good, and the room was nice. We liked the room overall. Nice.
My wife said the hair drier could not dry Yul Brenner's hair. (He was bald.) Read entire member review >>
We had an inside stateroom with no window.......and we LOVED it! Yep, LOVED IT! Our first choice was a balcony room, but we waited too long to book (our fault) and had to have an inside room. It wasn't bad at all. It was even bigger than we anticipated. The room stewards were fabulous! Read entire member review >>
