Very relaxing cruise
"We had been to Messina Sicily and went to Taormina in the past (which was gorgeous) so we though Palermo would be similar.Ports Vatican shut down for Nov 1 (All Saints Day) and the train was on strike, so that was a disappointment...."Read More

Very relaxing cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

I chose it for the variety of ports, and we wanted to see St Peter's basilica in Rome. Unfortunatly my husband hurt his bag pushing luggage, so we took it easy. I did the Royal Up and won the bid for an Owners Suite...lovely with nice perks to go along with it. Our stateroom attendant, Claude, was very nice, and did a great job. Always a smiling hello from him. He kept ice water in our ice ...

So Many Gorgeous Mediterranean Ports

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

If you love a beautiful Mediterranean port every day this is a great cruise. The ship seemed a bit smaller than past cruises (which is good for ports and meeting people), and older, however, the crew worked so hard to provide a nice experience. Staff were always cleaning (the ship is immaculate), and our cabin attendant, Donny, was the best ever. He always remembered ice at happy hour, the paper ...

Hectic but enjoyable cruise

We are a family of four whose cruise had been delayed by two years with Covid restrictions. We were nervous pre cruise as we had to take Lateral Flow Tests before boarding. The process at embarkation was seamless. A lot had to be done on the app which some passengers may find daunting. Although the ship is not one of the new all bells and whistle ships it was beautifully kept just large enough ...

Vision starting to show age and service not great

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

We booked this cruise for the great ports of call that we're on offer. The itinerary was sete, toulon, corsica, palma de mallorca, ibiza, cartagena, valenica and back into Barcelona. Embarkation was a breeze, the emuster drill is fantastic and saves a lot of time on the first day to do fun stuff around the ship. Dining however seems to be where the ship is having problems. The windjammer ...

Itinerary was awesome hitting Corsica, Rome, Sicilly, Portofino, Villenfranche, Toulon starting from Barcelona. Inside cruise ship rooms were large. We had two connecting inside rooms on deck 8 that were perfect for us. Dinner main dining room food was superb, especially the meat dishes. Main dining service, and room service was exceptional. The best of six Royal Caribbean cruises we ever ...

Time for a revamp

After sailing on many different RC ships, this one needs a revamp. The ship lacks basic recreational amenities (mini golf, water slides, etc) found on almost all other RC ships and needs for current amenities to be remodeled (whirlpools only fit 3 people). On the positive side, the crew is very friendly and the ship can dock in small ports. On this cruise, live entertainment in the theater ...

Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas September 2019 This is my review of our most recent cruise. It was our twenty- ninth cruise, and our first in Europe. We prefaced the Barcelona departure with two pre-cruise days in London. Approximately half of our cruises have been on Royal Caribbean, however, we have cruised with Norwegian, Disney, Princess, Celebrity, and Carnival as well. ...

I chose this cruise as wanted the 12 days round the med and also Croatia and Montenegro. Frankly I was disappointed reasons being... had my time dining in the main dining room, which suited but found the food was far better in the windjammer, we ate there at lunchtime sometimes and were tempted to go back In the evening but did not want to have to serve ourselves as to me part of the cruise is ...

Vision of the Seas royal suite

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

We chose this cruise for the itinerary (Greek isles). We travelled as a family of four with two children aged 10 and 7. We stayed in the Royal Suite a truly beautiful room. We were concerned having read some of the reviews about the ship but can honestly say this is one of the best cruises we have done. Yes the ship is older and smaller and shows some signs of wear and tear in places but what she ...

Great cruise, average service

This was our 8th cruise on Royal Caribbean and as Diamond members we are really familiar with the way these ships work, both from the mahussive Oasis to the dinky Grandeur and Vision. What's always made the experience for us though has been the service for guests staying in suites - it's the reason we prefer RCL. However Vision was frankly disappointing. There is a generally relaxed feel to the ...
