Small room, no couch or table, but it was fine for the amount of time spent in it, basically only in the room to sleep... the rest of the time we were out and about walking around the ship or enjoying the ports. I'd have no issue staying in the same room again. Read entire member review >>
Smallest cabin we have ever had, couldnt walk around the bed, small bathroom, had to shower with curtain open and bathroom door open too.
No fridge, but excellent aircon, and cabin had been refurbed in 2013, but i would still book this cabin again.
excellent cabin guy looking after us, very clean, flat screen tv, excellent pic quality, but no account to check on the tv, have to go to guest services to check your bill. Read entire member review >>
Much smaller than our previous interior ones - and didn't like the shower curtain or lack of fridge, also the tv was stuck out from the wall at a random angle so we had to keep turning it around to get into the cabin! Oh, and the coathangers sometimes rattled with the motion of the ship!
Nicely located though right next to the centrum and elevators. They did close off our route at times when events on in the centrum below (for electrical equipment etc) Read entire member review >>
We were 3 ladies sharing a superior interior stateroom. There were twin beds and a pull down top bunk which was surprisingly comfortable once I had climbed the ladder! The stateroom was adequate for our needs but next time I would prefer a window as it was dark inthe morning and I like to be wakened with the sunlight. There were plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. Our bathroom was compact but had plenty of hot water and fresh towels every day. Read entire member review >>
Standard size for an interior cabin, but no fridge. The bed was too low for our suitcases to fit underneath, but we did have ample closet space to store them. Directly under the R Bar (near the Centrum). If you go to bed early this is NOT the cabin for you, but if you're a night owl you'll never hear the barstools screeching across the marble floor. My inside cabin on the 7th deck in the bow of the ship was excellent. Though some people complained about the seas, I didn't feel much roughness. I used to sail a lot so big ship roughness for some is quite calm for others like myself. I think that some forget that they are on a ship at sea where Mother Nature is in control.
I am always amazed by the cabin attendants and how both efficient and friendly they are. In fact, all the crew on RCC is dedicated to making your cruise an outstanding experience. Read entire member review >>
The cabin is located directly above the "Schooner Bar." If you'd rather not hear music while in your cabin, don't choose this one. It does end by midnight, but that may be too late for some folks. Also, the "crew only" door adjacent to the cabin is accessed regularly. Again, if this bothers you choose another cabin. Read entire member review >>
Upon our arrival we headed to deck two and our cabin #2075. When we got off of the elevator we were met by what smelled like sewer gas. Not a pleasant experience. We noticed it for a few days, stronger in some areas than others. We either got used to it, or it dissipated throughout the cruise. I hope the later. We entered our cabin and immediately noticed the 8” mattress that looked like it was off a fold out sofa bed. We have never seen anything like that on a Royal Cariban cruise. After the first night we asked the room steward to do something about it. He placed a comforter on the mattress, and we tried that, but that was not going to do. We talked to the steward again, but clearly he had no idea what to do about it. My wife called house keeping and by the third night we had a very comfy thick mattress. Thank you so much, but we really should have never had to go through this in the first place. Enough about the mattress. The room steward was very good and did a fantastic job. Bad urine odor. No special service. Didn't even make towel creatures until last two nights. Had to beg for ice in our ice bucket, sometimes waiting 2 hours or more. Also, room service was extremely slow, up to two hours. I've often heard rooms on Royal are much bigger than Carnival. Not the case and especially when it came to the balcony. The cabin was orientated a little strange since the door was on the side instead of the end of the room. We do wish they would not even bother with squeezing the chair and small table in there as I had to crawl over the corner of the bed to get to my side. Otherwise the cabin was fairly standard with some storage and a good size closet. There weren't any shelves in the closet like our last cruise, but they did have an upper rod across the whole length of it and a lower rod across half. There are a few drawers, a cabinet and shelves in the room. The bathroom has no cabinets just the small counter and a lower shelf housing the trash can and extra toilet paper. I do bring a shoe holder for all toiletries and other small items which I hook over the bathroom door. This gives plenty of storage to keep the counters clear. The shower has a fantastic bar to rest your foot on while shaving so that I was grateful for, but the shower curtain kept sucking in even with the magnetic weights I had brought for the bottom.
My cabin complaint is this: Cabin 8063 is beside a blank space. I had really hoped it wouldn't be a problem however we realized that this area is where they wash dishes and such. So mid day is riddled with the sounds of carts being shoved around and a dish crashing sound right near the wall you share with your bed. Thankfully this doesn't go on for too long and it is the middle of the day, but we are nappers and so this did interrupt our trip. We were never affected by any noise in the evening, and never heard any noise from the pool above us. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin attendant was one of the most efficient and likable we have ever had. He helped overcome what was probably the smallest inside cabin we have ever had (132 sq ft). The bed was moved against the wall and a detached night stand was on the other side of the bed. We centered the bed and moved the night stand in front of the small couch (somewhat in the middle of the open space in the room)to make it more convenient. The storage in the closet was poorly designed with an upper and lower hanging rods instead of shelving. The lower space was not very usable and could have been used for shelves. The tiny shower was complicated by the use of a shower curtain. One of our fellow inside cabin mates suggested wetting the curtain before showering to make it stick to the structure instead your body. Read entire member review >>
Normal size cabin but walls were a little thin. I could hear the kids in the room next to me and here appeared to be some type of crew hallway behind the cabin that I could hear carts rolling down. My room steward was great! Read entire member review >>
Cabin 3567 - deck 3. One of the cheaper catagories. All adequate.
Bathroom - was as small as expected. Shower curtain was annoyingly clingy and I hope they get rid of that soon! Extractor was effective and not too noisy. Only small bar of soap provided and shampoo via a wall dispenser.
Cabin general - ok size-wize, mirrors give the impression of more space and light. Decor non-obtrusive beige and green. TV old style was bulky and I'm sure could do with an upgrade to flat screen. No mini-bar fridge, but items (sodas, water and sweets/savouries) left on the vanity. Ice bucket replenished often. Hairdryer working and good quality. Small cupboards dotted around with lots of storage. 6 drawers in vanity for clothes.
Wardrobe/closet - spacious and enough hangers available. No problems there.
Location: a little confusing as mid-ship and access could be via 4 routes. We identified pictures and a clock to get our bearings! Nice and quiet location, cabins below and above - so no noisy bars or public areas nearby. Very quiet area, but we could have been lucky to have had quiet and courteous neighbours.
