We did the Rhine a few years ago and wanted to try the danube. This cruise was a little different as most of the cruising was done at night. Just different from the Rhine where we saw more scenery. This cruise was selected due to the Viking reputation and the free air fare promotion from Viking. We added the Lake Como pre cruise extension and the Amsterdam post cruise extension. The crew was great! Worked very hard and made our not so good cruise a bit better. We started our cruise in Lyon with our private driver, driving us around in traffic for 45 minutes trying to find where our boat was docked. We chose this cruise to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We were unsure we would like being on a smaller “boat” after having cruised before on very large ships. Wow, were we wrong.
