We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the best of Portugal and we certainly did! We visited Porto and learned about the early Portugese explorers and enjoyed the delicous food of Portugal. We left Porto to sail the Doro River and encountered the amazing scenery and learned about how the formerly wild river was tamed with several locks. It was an amazing experience to sail through the ...
We had a great time visiting the Bordeaux Region of France in the comfort of the well equipped Viking Forseti ship. The ship's crew was welcoming and a joy to be with on our journey with them. On board food and beverage was excellent with a wide choice of options. Housekeeping staff was meticulous in keeping our Stateroom fresh twice a day.
On shore excursions were available every full day ...
We wanted to see Vienna and Budapest. Every place we went was fantastic and enjoyable. The crew and staff on board were outstanding. Our cabin was very comfortable; we received an upgrade actually. As for the food, there was never a bad meal ever! The excursions were without exception worth our time. We hope to take another cruise.
Some more words are required. All right then, here they are. We ...
We were a group of 10 traveling for a celebratory birthday. The cruise allowed us to do activities together and gave us enough time to explore and do things alone. They included excursions were well planned and appropriately described in the brochure as far as activity level. There was plenty of time to relax while on board and enjoy activities and entertainment. Very well organized and passengers ...
We had sailed with Viking on the Rhine River in 2017 & had the best, most wonderful, & enjoyable experience. We agreed that we would sail Viking again in a heartbeat.
We got delayed by the pandemic, but now it was an easy choice to go on a Viking River Cruise that was stopping & touring River ports we had never visited. This time we sailed the Danube River on Viking Gullveig and again had a ...
We chose Viking from family recommendations that it was an extremely enjoyable experience and they weren't wrong. This was our first ever cruise and we wanted a river cruise over an ocean cruise mainly because of the size passengers onboard. The ships accommodations are perfectly sized, the meals delicious and the shore excursions were both fun and informative. I especially appreciate the friendly ...
Love Viking - Cruise Director did a great job. The places we went to were very interesting and memorable. The dining experience was excellent every day.
Great organization in getting us to and from the ship. The coach that was not a Viking coach that we had was not in very good shape and the seats were very tight. The Viking coaches were much better.
Loved the history lessons we ...
We decided to do a Viking River Cruise because we wanted to see several countries on one trip with only unpacking once and not having to coordinate driving and the logistics of hotels and where to go. Viking did not disappoint. A once in a lifetime trip. We were able to go to so many places we would have never have gone to. It was so easy to unpack and relax!
Loved Black Forest and Speyer! ...
The Viking river experience was so much better than I imagined. We had a group of fifteen friends and some family who traveled together. The boat was very clean, the staff were fantastic and we all knew each other by name by the end of the week. The food was delicious, every meal, believe me no one will go hungry. Our activity director Bennie was so much fun, we loved her and all the activities ...
Friends invited us on this trip to celebrate a few major milestones and it didn’t disappoint. The boat was very nice and the crew and staff were nicer. The cabin was small but had a great veranda with chairs and a view and plenty of storage. The crew was very attentive, friendly, and fun. The food and drinks were plentiful and delicious. Especially the soups! The destinations were beautiful ...
