We chose this cruise for the itinerary and time of year, hoping for a chance at some cooler weather than we're used to where we're from. As it happened, the two weeks of our cruise coincided with the hottest two weeks of the year for this region. We have travelled with Viking 3 times. Twice pre-covid and now just recently this past August, post-covid. The company is night/day and not for the better. We did the Rhine Cruise a couple of years ago . Loved this cruise just as much. Were treated onboard by two incredible members of the ship’s waitstaff; Archie and Evan.
This pair smoothed out the rough spots on our trip like it was natural for them to dive in and give special treatment to guests when there was the least amount of an issue. (AC down in dining room)

We wanted to visit Switzerland for a long time. And my family history is from France.
Zurich was horrible I wouldn’t go there again. At least not at that time of year.

Everything related to Viking and the ship exceeded all expectations and was excellent.
We were very underwhelmed with the guided excursions we signed up and paid for pre trip. “Moderate” walking on those we found is up to 4 miles or more while trying to follow the guide in crowded streets and really not being able to see anything being talked about.

Overall it was a fantastic trip. I would highly recommend this trip and Viking Cruise Lines. Very impressed with the design and utilization of the space in our cabin. Food and service was good.
