The time on the riverboat was only a part of Viking's Roof of the World trip. It appears to be an older boat that has been refitted. We did our 1st River Cruise and it won't be the last. Awesome cruise from start to finish. The staff knew your name before the cruise ended. The food was amazing, and the chef will make you special food for those with allergies or lactose free. Every region you are in, the menu, wine and beer will change. What really interested me to go on the trip was that it included Tibet. The ship was older but updated and very nice. Ceilings were lower than I am used to and the slower was cramped, but China owns the boat so that is not something Viking has control over. Because of the itinerary we chose this cruise. We flew into Basel Switzerland a day early so we could relax and explore after the long flights.
