Everything about the cruise — the ship, the food, the crew, the stateroom, the tour guides — was top notch. The food options were varied and everything was delicious! I felt pampered and it was a very relaxing experience.
The tours at the ports were fantastic and led by very knowledgeable and personable professional guides. I learned a lot about WWII history from the guides in Germany.

Viking river cruises are a class act. The food was exceptional especially with so many choices. The crew treated us like royalty and they were such happy people! Dining was a joy every meal.
The Program Director has a super good personality. He’s meant for that job. He keeps everyone happy and relaxed.
The excursions and the tour guides are well versed and personable. We had no problems ...
This was my 4th Viking river cruise (plus 2 sea voyages) and the best of the bunch as far as the overall ship experience. That was mainly due to the excellent services provided by the outstanding Program Director, Margot, Hotel Manager, Wesley, and our cabin steward, Sylvie. I’ve had my favorite people on other Viking cruises but these three, especially in combination, made the trip even more ...
The Viking Grand European Tour provides an unparalleled experience for travelling through multiple countries and cities in western Europe with a meaningful immersion into local cultures, without the stress of handling travel logistics. Having traveled Europe by air, rail and auto in the past, we were looking for a more relaxing way to travel, with more time for sightseeing, hiking, and ...
I have never river cruised before so my family chose Viking for the value of the package. I thought since the average age is 60 we would have a lot of down time. Not at all. We enjoyed every minute and the programs. All the included tours were fantastic and you still have time to do something else on your own if you wish.
The only stop, which was the Black Forest, was a let down but after that ...
Our first viking cruise. We previously cruised with Avalon in 2022 in France, plus many ocean cruises. We are younger seniors that enjoy walking and biking.
Positives:
1. Clean, well maintained boat, with ample and comfortable seating at all levels.
2. The staff in every level were polite, helpful and responsive. All exceeded expectations.
3. The food in my opinion was terrific. The ...
It was an opportunity to visit parts of the world In style, ie., quality service, excellent & tasteful cuisine, comfortable environments, etc. The variety of beautifully organized excursions at each ports provided memorable opportunities to see the sights, eat the food & meet the people.
It was to-date THE Most relaxing cruise vacation I /we have ever taken. The size of the ship & number of ...
This was my 5th Viking Cruise, second time doing the Rhine. Our very first Rhine Cruise was July 2015. Wow! Viking has changed! Many of the optional excursions were included in 2015. This time not much offered. Too many shuttles being used to get to towns and back to boat. The service has gone down. We weren’t even recognized for our 5th cruise! They did have a cocktail party for returning guests, ...
We started in Budapest and ended in Passau. Loved Budapest. Visited the white raven sky bar in the Hilton. Such great views Need reservations even for a drink only. Ship was clean and comfortable. Staff were so friendly and they treat you like family. Enjoy day time sailings to enjoy the views from balcony or top deck. Concert in Vienna was above my expectations. Enjoy the excursions be ...
We went on the Embla for our 30th Anniversary. I really liked the River Cruise because it was adults only, the food was really good, the staff was friendly, you make new friendships and get to see parts of the world you have never seen before. We would go to sleep and wake up in a new place.
I would suggest paying extra for the Cesky Kumlov on foot tour. It is a beautiful village with quaint ...
