Everything about the cruise — the ship, the food, the crew, the stateroom, the tour guides — was top notch. The food options were varied and everything was delicious! I felt pampered and it was a very relaxing experience.
The tours at the ports were fantastic and led by very knowledgeable and personable professional guides. I learned a lot about WWII history from the guides in Germany.

I have never river cruised before so my family chose Viking for the value of the package. I thought since the average age is 60 we would have a lot of down time. Not at all. This was my 5th Viking Cruise, second time doing the Rhine. Our very first Rhine Cruise was July 2015. Wow! Viking has changed! Many of the optional excursions were included in 2015. We went on the Embla for our 30th Anniversary. I really liked the River Cruise because it was adults only, the food was really good, the staff was friendly, you make new friendships and get to see parts of the world you have never seen before. We would go to sleep and wake up in a new place.
