My wife and I LOVED our time with Viking. We extended before the Cities of Light Cruise by going to Warsaw. That was amazing to see and experience Poland, my wife's father's family immigrated from there after the American Civil War. The cruise was wonderful, we love how our hotel moves with us every day. We extended after the cruise as well for extra days in Paris to see sites we missed back ...
We chose the Rhine river cruise because it was on my bucket list to see castles! Every detail of the cruise was amazing – from the food, to the way guests were treated, and the great guides on the tours! We felt very taken care of and looked out for it. We enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of a smaller boat and the opportunity to meet new people at meal times. The preview of the following day was ...
Last summer we went on the Danube cruise and enjoyed it a great deal. While we had a fine time on the Danube we learned about several changes that would have made that cruise even better. We decided to go on this second cruise largely based on those thoughts.
Knowing how the schedule was laid out and what was available that we particularly wanted to see made this cruise a much better ...
What a wonderful way to see Paris and the Heart of Normandy! This was our first Viking cruise and it was just magical. We honestly couldn’t think of a better way to do it. Viking goes out of your way to make you feel at home when away from home. We are in our late 30s and had such a wonderful time meeting people of all different ages, there truly is something for everyone. Every excursion was an ...
Here were my suggestions to Viking, and potential passengers may want to be aware of these possibilities:
1) I would suggest letting passengers know that if they pay for an upgraded room with a veranda, there will be times when the boat is docked "veranda rail-to-veranda rail" with another ship, and you will be inches from a neighboring ship and another passenger's veranda.
2) The lounge ...
We delayed our cruise 4 times due to Covid and health issues so by the time we left on our cruise our expectations were very high. We did a pre-excursion in Lake Como. At every point Viking took care of us. The service on the boat, the program director (Emily) and every Viking city guide provided first in class service. We were impressed with everything and it was a vacation of a lifetime. You ...
We enjoyed our cruise so very much. It was outstanding from start to finish. We were treated so well by the staff. Rooms were very clean. Food was excellent . We enjoyed the variety of foods each day. We enjoyed the on board enrichment . Trips were all entertaining and well run. We saw so much of the beautiful scenery in all our port stops. We have bragged about how wonderful Viking is to ...
This is the first time we ever been on any cruise and it was great! Our dedicated telephone support person did a great job of our arranging our complete trip, including our flight to Europe 2 weeks early, to visit family. When we arrived at our embarkation port, there was a Viking rep at the hotel who showed us the way for the short walk to the brand new ship! Everything about ship was great, ...
We chose this cruise based upon the size of the ship. We wanted a smaller, cozier experience and this was exactly that. We got to know the staff, who were so accommodating and friendly. I only wished we'd have arrived a bit earlier to fight off jetlag and stayed a bit longer. I was disappointed that we did not get a chance to see the final city (Amsterdam) because we had to be whisked off the ...
Learned a lot of history from the lectures. The excursions were fantastic. The service was beyond amazing the people working this cruise made it absolutely one of the most fun and lively vacations ever! So enjoyable from the service perspective; kudos to the program director and the bar chief, the maitre d', the guest services people and housekeeping and service staff, everyone worked really hard ...
