Room and facilities
I had an outside cabin on deck 2 - 2026
There is much more storage everywhere - the wardrobe is a much better use of space on Marella as you have the big waste of space on most P&O ships.
It is a Slightly smaller cabin but is suitable. The Shower was good with good pressure. There was a Sofa in the room. I do Wish I’d got a balcony now as I’m used to them but it was ...
we wanted to cruise the greek islands and visit olympia.
FIRSTLY :- the broadway show team were outstanding, better than discovery one (and that takes some doing).
dining:- on all but one evening on trying to enter the dining we were given a pager and told we would be summoned when a table was available by the two daleks on the door.
on the final evening one of the daleks appears in the ...
Firstly a fantastic cruise had by all this is our 4th cruise with Thompson/ Marella in two years and the second time on this ship we where with two other couples for my 50th birthday we stayed in cabins 7537. 7543.and 2581 cabin where all inside cabins they where spacious and keep very clean with a new towel display every evening.on arrival we got our room cards at the terminal then we where left ...
Was really looking forward to this cruise, but after reading about waiting time at restaurants was a little worried.
First couple of time was ok shared a table no problems, was shocked to see empty tables when we had been told the was a waiting time.
The next night 40 mins wait, so we went to the Islands where the food was the same as the 47 restaurant, but you had to serve yourself, BUT the ...
The ship was terrible for the money that was paid .the food was terrible .we went all inclusive and every given opportunity tui could charge you for something they would .same entertainment every night butlins style and on the the top deck bar rave music at midnight with young hoody types breaking glasses and being destructive .the holiday was awful and id avoid at all costs .its back to norwegian ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary which itself was great but the ship was a disappointment. It felt more like an ageing holiday camp atmosphere with a regular call from the bridge every morning at 8.00am and second rate entertainment that at times was painful to listen to. Noise from events at the atrium could be heard in mid ship cabins. Free for all buffet where the food was ...
Cabin 6572
Small double cabin with balcony. Smallest cabin we’ve ever experienced on Thomson/tui/marella ships, and one of the most expensive for its size (full price was approx £5700 for 2 weeks) and WITHOUT A FRIDGE for the first time ever which was a huge disappointment especially as it meant the bottled water provided (payable) was luke warm.
Limited storage with shoebox size drawers & ...
So I don't usually write reviews but our experience wasn't great, so thought I'd best have a moan after all!
Starters. Our cabin was clean and functional, no issues with that, the location however wasn't. We were just by the coffee shop near the Atrium. We didn't realise it was a poor position until the evening when the music could be heard until late. Indeed, the last night the "leaving ...
We travelled with our two children and have been on a number of cruises. This cruise we booked the Grand Suite which was a treat and quite expensive, but we were happy to pay the price for the expected luxury. my main issue is the customer service at TUI as I never really complain and with this cruise I emailed the travel agent whilst on our holiday who placed the complaint for us. For the ...
This was our second cruise on Discovery 2 and will be our last. Firstly the positives, check in and getting to ship and cabin was easy and reasonably quick, we did end up sitting in a bus at the cruise terminal for about 30 mins but it was a busy period. The cabin staff are fantastic and can’t do enough for you and the balcony cabin we were given was clean, tidy and exactly what we booked and ...
