This was a handicap accessible room and was very spacey. Our cabin steward, Harlam, was very helpful in bringing in some roll-away bed mattresses to try and help wit a back problem I developed the day before the cruise. He saw to our every need and was available whenever we needed him. The one down-side to the room was, which I believe was noise created on two of the last three nights on board when, this is my best guess, they decided to use pressure washers on the fifth deck, for about 45-minutes at a time, ending around 0130 in the morning. When I discussed this with "passenger services", I was told I needed to contact them when the noise was being made so they could find the source! To me, it was a simple issue. Were they running pressure washers on the port side of the fifth deck and did they shut it off at 0130. Oh well, I was already awake with my back! Read entire member review >>
The cabin is easy access and we were pleased with the size and layout for the price. There was an unpleasant odor in in the hallway immediately outside the cabin, most days ... not sure why. This is a great cabin/deck if there are many port visits ... easy access to disembark. However, you have LONG elevator wait times plus the elevators are often FULL by the time it reaches you during busy periods. The deck is convenient if you are mobile and willing to take stairs to decks 4/5/6 -- majority of shows/dining on these decks, but NOT to deck 11 - pool/informal dining Read entire member review >>
State Room (Rating 4.5)We stayed in State Room 4536 which was down the hall from the Centrum and Customer Service desk this room had its pros and cons. The room was quiet and we rarely heard any noise from the Centrum. In fact we heard a lot more noise above us. The noise we heard were kids running around see as we were on Deck 4, I can only assume these were kids running along Deck 5 which is the outside walk way but this was sporadic and didn’t last long maybe 9-10pm if I recall. The Centrum as aforementioned was located down the hall from us although surprisingly you didn’t hear any noise it is the central area for shows and ship gatherings. I can only imagine if you were closer you might hear some noise but I was extremely surprised we didn’t hear anything from our Stateroom that involved the Centrum Activities. However, if and when there was activities in this area the access to your stateroom was compiled with getting through crowds of other passengers or you could walk to the elevators located at the front of the ship and bypass all the extracurricular activities which again was not a big deal just kind of annoying because other guests assumed you were trying to get the front line of the venue and you had to keep expressing to them you wanted to get to your State Room. Hence the reason I rate this a 4 out of 5 Read entire member review >>
good marks here all around - we had four beds - 2 bunks that came down and 2 on the floor - they were all separated and I don't think we could push the 2 lower beds together though we didn't try. Couch, flat TV, closets bath and storage areas -- all very serviceable and proportional. We had a very large porthole/oceanview. Felt like the room was a smidge larger than similar rooms we've had on other ships though we book all kinds of rooms from interior to balcony - we did like this one. Read entire member review >>
We were in cabin 8504. It was a lot larger than expected with a king bed, couch and chair in the sitting area facing the desk and tv. Bathroom was nothing special, but was fine for what we were needing. It is a walk to the front of the ship everytime you ate or hit the pool, but convenient to the showroom and casino. After lunch on day 1 we decided to find our cabin and were surprised how big it actually was. It is laid out very smartly. Here are some details for others- Window was actually large maybe 3' in dia, there was room to move on all sides of the bed (2 nightstands- great to hold books etc) lots of room for the suitcases under the bed. We had a small loveseat and table too! Large closet with shoe shelves, tie bar, and a long hanging side and a dual hanging side. The desk had 2 dual outlets (never needed the suggested extension cord- and it did have a hair dryer in the room. Desk had large drawers on each side. TV, small refrig, and some more cabinets above the TV. There were small shelves above the desk- and in the bathroom! Water on board was fine to drink, and the small shower had a clothes drying line- we brought clothes pins and it worked great. Read entire member review >>
We stayed in room 4042. It was clean, and so spacious with tons of storage. We had the best housekeeper! Amelia took personal care of us and always had a smile and kind words. We loved our bed! It was so comfortable! We also loved our large window, but it was dirty on the outside and so we couldn't take any very good photos out of our window which was unfortunate. It would be nice if you could wash it. Read entire member review >>
