Great location near the Centrum on Deck 10. Lots of space, both a couch and a chair and ottoman. Loved the walk in closet, and large bathroom including a good size tub. Balcony included two chairs and a low table. Everything was in good repair. Read entire member review >>
Nice sized cabin and closet. Do not book if you are a light sleeper as it is very noisy at night. From 2-6am they are cleaning the deck above and setting up the Park Grill. They move all the furniture and it is very difficult to get a good night's sleep. Balcony has a water drain pipe and there is a constant water rushing sound. AC pipe in hall closet leaked and we had wet carpet first 4 days of cruise. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was a pleasant surprise. Booked a balcony and received upgrade. Some noise from Windjammer carts, but I am not a late sleeper or napper, so didn't bother me.
Excellent steward and cabin was well maintained. Read entire member review >>
We were given room 1086 which has received some bad reviews in regards to noise but we found no issues with the cabin. There was some noise during the day but it did not keep us up at night or wake us in the morning. We would happily book this room again without hesitation. It was large enough for the four of us with an oversized balcony that can accommodate a lounger if desired, large bathroom with tub and a walk in closet. There was plenty of storage - we had many empty cabinets. The sofa bed wasn't too uncomfortable considering it's a sofa bed. Our two kids slept on it for 10 days without complaint. Nice cabin. Only drawback is the carts running through the windjammer up above. That is the same for most cabins on deck 10. Balcony was a nice size. Although there was some odours in the bathroom. Read entire member review >>
Nice wide room, and huge balcony that wrapped around the side of the ship. Drawers were deep enough to hold our packing envelopes and cubes. Wonderful walk in closet. One of the drawers kept sliding in and out during rough seas. Our cabin steward rigged it by jamming a towel inside.
Nice assortment of toiletries. Read entire member review >>
This is an aft corner cabin. The balcony is slightly larger than a normal junior suite, BUT there is a hoist contraption outside the balcony which is unsightly. The room is considered "limited view". We didn't mind it, but that said, some passengers would not like it. There was no mention of "limited view" on any paperwork received from RCCL, they simply said, "oh your travel agent should have told you." In this day and age, they should put a disclaimer right next to the cabin number on the reservation pages they send out that says "Limited View" in plain english. Read entire member review >>
When we booked, this was the onlu JS available. It is handicapped equipped.
Large cabin, plenty of hanging and drawer space. The balcony was huge! Had the slifding door repaired so that it slides easily.
Bath is designed for wheel chair roll in. Plenty of grab bars - emergency pull chain if needed. Only down side was that the light in the walk-in closet required all lights in the room be on. Not convenient if someone sleeping or resting.
TV stations fair to poor . Only decent channel was CNN international.
WiFi works in room, however the internet plan was expensive (compared to others).
Automatic door opener worked about 75% of the time. Pulling on the door handle from the hall fixed the probem most times. Read entire member review >>
We were in an aft junior suite with oversized balcony and panoramic views. However, there was a downside to this location - it is directly under outside seating area of the Windjammer. The noise from chairs being moved and serving carts began at 6:30 each morning. By the end of the cruise, we were so exhausted from lack of sleep that we were able to doze through the noise, but it is a real consideration when choosing an aft cabin on Serenade. One other cabin related negative - RCL has gone smoke free on their balconies since the beginning of the year. However, during sailaway from Montenegro, three men in the cabin below us stood on their balcony puffing away on cigars. We called guest services to complain and were told that "it is their balcony" - that is clearly not the policy; but guest services appeared reluctant to enforce the policy. We ended up having to move inside to get away from smoke. The cabin had excellent storage space and we loved the walk in closet. There was good space for relaxing with a comfortable chair and sofa in the cabin as well as two chairs and 2 loungers on the balcony. Our room steward was very responsive to requests. Our JS was large. The storage was generous. The balcony and its furniture were excellent. Our Stateroom Attendant was very good - we did noit see him much but he attended to all of our requests with promptness. Read entire member review >>
This is a Jr Suite. Walk-in closet. Bathroom has tub with shower - ample room. Couch in cabin was nice for seating guests (or laying out snorkel gear - lol). Great balcony - unobstructed view. Suite is near Centrum, but far enough away to avoid noise from the lounge. Read entire member review >>
JS is spacious with a walk in closet with side cubbies to put extra clothes. There are extra drawers in the vanity area as well, but for two people, we didn't need them. The bathroom is bigger with a tub, and some counter space. The balcony is large enough for two chairs and a table. Used to be you could have a lounge chair too, but we didn't have one. It was chilly at night sitting out side, but it is still the best place to go and unwind without any interruptions. Overall, the room was a good location and we had no complaints. JS1582 is directly under the Windjammer. You can hear the carts beinbg moved in the Windjammer in this room. Although the noise is intermittent it does occur anytime day or night. I don't think most people would be bothered but people who require absolute quiet to sleep will not like this room. Read entire member review >>
Extremely large balcony room called a junior suite. Way more storage than we would ever need. Location was convenient, but very noisy. I sleep in a quiet room at home but this room is under the food preparation area for the buffet. Pans banging and equipment moving were a nuisance during the day and a problem at night. The industrial noises woke at least one of us up every night we were on the cruise. We loved the roominess, but hated the location noise. Read entire member review >>
We had an aft, corner cabin JS 1100. This was a great cabin for roominess, walk-in closet, larger bathroom with tub and the large balcony --- two lounge chairs, three upright chairs and a square table large enough for room service trays etc.
Our cabin steward was generally efficient with all necessary items in the stateroom at embarkation. However, dust was quite noticeable on the electric teapot and coffee maker. Also some of the drawers were broken on the right side of the desk. This in no way disturbed us and we had a wonderful experience with this cabin and the cruise. Read entire member review >>
Bigger walk in closet than I have in my house!!! Great bathroom with a tub in the Junior Suites - bigger than a regular nice hotel room bath with lots of storage. Great balcony, very quite, never bothered by any sound from the ship or passangers. Read entire member review >>
1602 - This is an aft cabin junior suite. The view from the incredibly spacious balcony is fantastic. Because it is an aft cabin the balcony was at least twice as large as normal balconies with space for two lounge chairs + two upright chairs and a table. This was also a quiet location with the only noise coming from the windjammer above. Read entire member review >>
Loved the extra space a JS giveswalk in closet, bathtub (so much easier to shave your legs!), and the bigger balcony. Long walk to the back of the ship, but it was exceptionally quiet so well worth it. Read entire member review >>
