A little less than expected

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

We chose this cruise because the itinerary covered ports which we hadn't been to, and it offered a handsome discount because our Antarctic cruise had been cancelled. Also, we were going to be in the area for a family occasion later in the month. The other prior ultra luxury cruise we'd been on was on the Regent Explorer, which won hands down. These were my problems with the Sojourn: 1. ...

Great Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We are a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We travel extensively and we’re looking for a fun way to explore the Adriatic. We chose this cruise because of the 18 day itinerary and the room sizes. The cruises were only half full. We enjoyed all of our dining experiences in all of the restaurants. The staff knew our preferences quickly and we enjoyed everything. The staff were fantastic. We ...

Are Seabourn ready for 6* cruising - Our worst cruise ever!!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We tried to book a cruise around 6 weeks out and managed to reserve guaranteed suite but flights were not available to book. This was supposedly linked to the move of embarkation from Venice to Ravenna. (didn’t Venice ban cruise ships from 1st August 2021? Why was this a surprise 9 months later?) After another week and calls to Seabourn and TA we were advised that flights could now be booked but ...

Seabourn Fails To Deliver

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

Our first pandemic-era cruise. We have numerous past cruises with Seabourn, and this cruise experience ranks at the bottom. First, why would a complete novice stewardess, someone who had four days of experience under her belt, be assigned to service a Penthouse Suite? Should not you most experienced personnel take care of your higher-paying guests? Bad enough we had to participate in her ...

Paid for Seabourn, but this was not Seabourn

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

At one of those treacly self-congratulatory events the ship hosts for its loyal repeat customers, the cruise director raised her glass of champagne for a toast. Hardly anyone in the room raised theirs. Not because they were rude. They did not have drinks. They’d been seated for more than half an hour, and had yet to be served anything. This pretty much sums up our trip. The Seabourn leaders ...

Excellent Return to Sailing 18 Night Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Quest

User Avatar

We were a bit nervous when we learned that our 18 night cruise on the Quest was the first sailing since covid shutdown. However, Seabourn staff did a wonderful job and most things seemed "back to normal". We sailed from Barcelona to Ravenna (a port 2 hour included bus ride from Venice) as large ships can no longer dock in Venice. There was some pre-cruise confusion on check-in, ship board ...

Marvelous cruise all around: Athens to Istanbul to Athens

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Encore

User Avatar

It was so nice to be back on board a ship and sailing once more. The Encore was nearly spotless, so the 2 year Covid lay up allowed for maintenance and it showed with a sparkling appearance. With fewer than 250 guests both weeks and more than 400 crew, shall we say we were pampered like never before? The dining venues were competing for our patronage! And the food was excellent and varied in all ...

Rules changed after day 1 on the transatlantic crossing, despite being informed it would not.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We, along with others, checked on the website, various places, all pages said the same, and on the telephone (often more than once for many guests) before booking and sailing, that masks would not be mandatory. We also asked 'under what circumstances might this change' on the telephone and we gave various examples, every time we were informed 'it will not change'. We are medical doctors and like ...

Not ready for prime time

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

User Avatar

We chose this cruise because it was transatlantic and had few ports (2) before arrival in Portugal. Due to Covid we were craving a get away but safely considering infection control etc.. We have a long history with the incredible staff and ships of Seabourn. But in today's environment you must be cautious. We purchased, as we usually do, one of the most expensive suites aboard this ship and ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

This was our 5th. Seabourn cruise , the final sailing from Barbados for the winter Caribbean season. Many highlights included, a seamless embarkation , with only 6 others guests at a time, a great Barbados band before sail away, large expanse of glass looking onto the balcony, gracious crew, a guest lecturer , great shows , lots of great movies, superb Helen deLange trio in the Club, and ...
