Our first time on Seabourn but not our last. Loved the ship, the outside eating spaces, the delicious food, the staff, the crew …. We are now spoiled for any other line. Relax or be busy, dress up or don’t. This is the cruise line for us. Worth every penny. We met lovely people of all nationalities. We enjoyed the food and the entertainment. Shout out to the cruise director Aimee, the wonderful ...

Very Unsatisfactory Experience

This was our first experience on Seabourn. We selected the cruise based on the itinerary that included Petra Jordan. Our cabin and cabin attendants were wonderful. The food in most of the restaurants was mediocre and bland n terms of flavors. Each restaurant has many choices which change daily so there is a great variety of food in each restaurant. It didn't matter which restaurant we ...

Dubai to Athens on the Seabourn Encore

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Seabourn Encore

We recently completed an 18-day voyage from Dubai to Athens on the Seabourn Encore. This was our 6th Seabourn cruise; all previous ones were on the Quest and Odyssey. Having read many comments about the size of the Encore (many people calling them “megaships” which we found amusing having sailed on ships carrying 3500 passengers vs. 600) we were interested to see how she compared to the smaller ...

Having recently returned from our second Seabourn cruise, we debarked the ship after 19 days wanting to stay on board. Alas, "duty calls", including back to work. Now, after settling in at home, herewith, in no particular, order, are my impressions of our trip. Last year (December 2017) we tried Seabourn for the very first time, on the Odyssey for a Caribbean cruise. Interested readers can find ...

If anyone had told us that we would be returning to Dubai less than 6 months from our last embarkation from that port, I would have thought them crazy. But then we received a Seabourn brochure this winter that had an itinerary with pricing that we could not pass up. This was the chance to try out a true “luxury” line. Even though we already had a deposit on a cruise for 2019 that would include ...

Outstanding Staterooms and Service

Review for a Africa Cruise on Seabourn Encore

The itinerary was the reason I chose this cruise, but the on-board experience was the best of any of my 12 cruises, including Crystal, Azamara and 4 other cruise lines. The price was also very reasonable since there was basically no need to add any “extras.” Dining venues were excellent! Besides specialty restaurants, there was a sushi bar, grill at the pool, great buffet, and ...

Perfect

Everything, really everything was perfectly organized. Embarkation and disembarkation were organized. You have 5 restaurants for choice and only one of these five you have to reserve for. Service, food, drinks whenever you want, anything you might need, you get it. Champaign, caviar as much as you want. Excursions were well organized and at a reasonable prize Five restaurants ...

Consistently Inconsistent

Not to belabor a review sent to Seabourn, but the ship, although pretty, new and with good design elements, did not meet our expectations. The cabin was fine as was the ships layout with the possible exception of more room at the main pool area. Five or Six stars? No, more of a Holland America experience for twice the price. Service was good to poor and depended on the day. Training ...

The penthouse on deck 11 was fabulous

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Seabourn Encore

This is our second cruise on the Encore this year and the most disappointing. The crew was missing the usual spark and coordination that we associate with past Seabourn cruises. This was our 6th cruise with Seabourn and we found the food was lacking in variety and below the usual standard expected with this line. Rather than raising the bar I think senior management are cost cutting and lowering ...
