Cabin survey:

The cabin is a nice size. Splitting the beds will give more room through the centre but if left as a queen-size double there is still enough room down the sides to get into bed. We have sailed twice with HAL and each time had this cabin type. However, cabin 698 on the Ryndam is at the very rear of the ship and the noise and vibration when docking is a problem; previously we had the same cabin type, same deck level on the Statendam but about ten cabins further foward and did not experience any docking noise or vibrations ...maybe it just a problem with the Ryndam?

Cabin: We booked in inside cabin MM #690 it was a much larger room than I thought it would be. Queen size bed with a coach; flat screen tv and a desk with plenty of draw space and closet space for our clothing. The bathroom was a bit small but for a cruise ship very duable. The only channels broadcasted on the tv were ESPN; CNN no local networks. It was good enough as we were still able to catch up with what was happening around the world. The bed was comfortable not too soft or hard.

Cheapest cabin on Holland America is larger than on most other ships. It was lovely. No window but lights behind fooled me into thinking it was sunny outside. Very quiet and pleasantly decorated
